Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows
Review: One day up high in the mountains a boy named Billy was begging his parents for a pair of coon dogs, but he can't get because he's low on money. He went two years collecting money. When he has the right amount of money he asks his grandfather and asks him to order the dogs. When Billy's grandfather tells where his dogs will be shipped, he finds he will to go to another town to get them, he does. He hunts with his dogs every night. His grandfather tells him about a championship hunt. Billy goes to the hunt and gets in the finals. He wins the championship hunt when he returns home his parents tell him they have saved all the money from the coon skins he got. Billy's parents are very enthusiastic about moving because now the kids will now get an education. I recommend this story because it has action and some sad parts but you'll have to read it yourself to find out really how good it is.

Review: Where the Red Fern Grows

This book is about Billy Coleman from the Ozarks of Oklahoma. He wanted two coonhounds. He saw an add in the paper for two coonhounds for $50. So he worked very hard for two years to earn his money to get the coonhounds. This book also has some sad parts in it. Like when Ruben was hunting for the ghost coon with Billy, and Ruben fell and hurt himself very badly. Eventually that day he passed away, and that was the saddest moment alive. I would recommend this book to everyone to read, because it shows you not to be mean, anxious, mad, or not fair to anyone even dogs, because things can happen.

Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is a book and a movie about a boy named Billy Coleman who had two dogs; Old Dan and Little Ann who all three loved to coon hunt. Billy trained his dogs to be the finest hunting team in the Ozark Mountains. But, a sad ending awaits.I would recommend this book to you. It's great. It describes the life of a boy living in the mountains with no electricity or automobiles or plumbing. It's very informative; and adventurous. The book is humorous and sets a good example.

Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is a very long book about a boy who wants two coon hounds he won't be satisfied with just one but wants two. He has to raise the money on his own because is family has no money to even buy a new mule so they certainly don't have money to buy two hounds for a boy. The boy must wait for two years before he finally has all the money raised. When he gets his dogs he wants to make them the best that they can be. I really didn't like the book and though the ways that they went upon stuff was fairly poor. I wouldn't recommend this book because I thought it was a stinky book.

Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows *Reviewed by: Carri Sparks*

Where the Red Fern Grows is a story about a boy about 12 years old who wants some red bone coonhounds. One day the hunters come to his town and they have two coonhounds in the back of their truck. One day Billy sees an add in the paper that says dogs for sale for $50. It takes Billy two years to get up that much money. Then he takes the money to his grandpa's store and his grandpa sends it to the place. When he gets the letter he gets 10 dollars back because the hounds did not cost as much anymore. Billy and his hounds got the most coonskins in the Ozarks. One day Billy goes to his grandpa's store and he gets a bet from Ruben and his little brother. When he takes it, something bad happens after all of this Billy goes to A championship hunt. If you read this book you will feel like you are Billy and you will never put it down. If you like this book there is a movie just as good.

Summary: A boy with two dogs
Review: Where The Red Fern Grows was a very good book. This book was about a boy wanting coon hounds so bad, and his parents wouldn't let him get any. There were many characters in this book, but I liked the two coon dogs. There was Billy, Grandpa, mama, papa, two sisters, Rubin, Raney, Old Blue, Mrs.Pritchard, Mr.Pritchard, Little Ann, Old Dan, and the Marshall. Billy tried to solve his problems about coon dogs. When he found an ad in a newspaper and started to save some money to buy coon dogs. Billy took the ad and went to his Grandpa and asked him if he would buy the coon dogs for him. I think that this was a very good book. If anyone wants some advice on what book to read. I would recommend them to read Where The Red Fern Grows. I recommend this book because it relates to every day life.
