Rating: Summary: The review of the Red Fern. Review: I thought that this was an average type of books that i have read before. I first read it when i was in the 5th grade. When I first read it, i thought it was really interesting because i diddnt know anything about coon hunting or anything like that. When i read it i thought it needed more description on some parts but mostly i thought it was good. In some parts my heart was beating fast just to know what would happen on the next page. I told my friends about it and they also thought it was good. We even got to read it at school. i think I would put this in a adventure/action spot for its good fights with the dogs and the coons. I would ask kids to read this book from ages 9 to maybe 13 to read this because its a really good book, if you have a big imagination.
Rating: Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows Review By Julie Hendricks Review: The book Where the Red Fern Grows was a very good book, but what I found that was most entersting was that Billy had saved his money to buy some dog that he wanted for a very long time. But it got sad on in the story. (...) It made me just about cry.
Rating: Summary: A Good Book For People Who Love To Cry Review: I am a total book-worm and I am up for reading any book. I had to do this book for a report, I like dogs so I thought it would be a good book. The constant crying and sobbing, I just can't couldn't take it. I struggled to finih this book. This is a good book for people who love to cry. Drama people. This book was not for me and I do not reccomend this book to ANYONE.
Rating: Summary: The Best Book Review: The novel Where the red fern grows is the best novel. It taught me a lesson on how important friednship is and how you should never give up on anything. I also learned that whatever you put your find to you can accomplise it.
Rating: Summary: A Man's Best Friend Review: A Man's Best Friend I really loved this book. This is definitely the best book I have ever read. I do not read a whole lot, but this book really got me interested. I will probably read this novel over and over again. This novel is about a young boy by the name of Billy Coleman. He is a boy that will do anything to accomplish his dreams. He lives way back in the hill of the Ozark Mountains. He is a poor boy that has to work for every thing he wants and dreams of in life and would do anything for it. He one day decides he wants a couple of hounds. He wanted two Red Bone coonhounds. He worked hard for two years to enough money for them and when he finally gets them they turn out to be pretty good hounds. Billy is an awesome character in the story. He shows how life should be. Wilson Rawls is a great writer. He is now my favorite author. I highly recommend this novel to anyone.
Rating: Summary: The book of the millenium!!!!!!! Review: This book is the best book I have ever read. It really shows the realationship beetween a young boy and his dogs. You can really feel how meaningful the story is. It really is an exciting tale of friendship and love.
Rating: Summary: A tale of an everlasting friendship Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is an amazing book. When a friend reccomned it to me, I wasn't too sure about reading it, because I usually don't like animal books. But after I started reading it, I realized that this wasn't just an animal story. It was a story of true friendship. This book is truly heartwarming and definately a tear jerker. I would reccomend it to any age, young or old. Where the Red Fern Grows is a book that you won't want to miss. It is one of the best pieces of literature that I have ever read.
Rating: Summary: A classic for all ages Review: Wilson Rawls does it, this book is a timeless classic. Preferably for older children due to some of the subject content, ie: death and dying. This is one book I still read and I am 30 years old, and it still makes me cry everytime I read it. You're never too old to read this book. Wilson Rawls put together a wonderful story about a young boy's relationship with two dogs, it is a story you will find yourself recommending to all.
Rating: Summary: This is a great book! Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is a great story about friendship and determination. Billy was determined to earn $50 for puppies when he saw an ad that said,"Coon hound puppies for sale $50." For 2 years Billy worked hard and had lots of determination, so in the end Billy had $50 for his coon hounds. Billy and his puppies, Old Dan and Little Ann, had a great bond of friendship. One day, Old Dan and Little Ann got into a fight with a mountain lion. When Billy tried to help his dogs fight the lion, the lion started to move towards Billy. Old Dan and Little Ann had such a great bond of friendship with Billy, that they sacrificed their lives for Billy. The dogs stood between the lion and Billy, so that Billy wouldn't get harmed by the lion.

I love dogs, and all the dog lovers should definitely read this book. If you haven't read this outstanding book, you're missing out.
