Summary: Where The Red Fern Grows, the best book ever
Review: When I read this book for the first time it made me cry. This was one of those very special books that you feel like they could have a million books in the series but the story still wouldn't have really ended. When I finished the book I wondered why it had to end that way. I have read it a ton of times but at the end that strange emotion comes over me that makes me feel so sad Billy had to lose his dogs that way and i just cry and cry. I wish i cuold talk to Wilson Rawls and tell him how many kids see me with his book and say how much they love it. In conclusion i want to thank Wilson Rawls for giving people a wonderful story that goes straight to everyone's heart.

Summary: Determination can Overcome Anything
Review: A Review By: Adam
The story is about a young boy that really wants to hunt. One day when he is out in the woods exploring like he always like to do he came across an area were some fisherman where fishing. There is were he found a magazine with an for sale advertisement for two young hunting dogs. After that the story is about him getting his dogs and the fun and tragedy and comes with it.

The story Is a good book. It is very detail and makes you want to read it over and over. You are able to feel their pain that they feel and your hurt when their hurt. The book is a very emotional book. Many others that have read the book have cried at or about the ending. At times the book can be slow but that's ok. You still want to keep reading. The ending is sad but suitable for the story. It shows that not all stories can end on a good note.

I would recommend this book to about everyone. Even if you don't like to read or if your not into the whole emotional stuff. The book is long but it does go by fast. You don't feel like your reading much but then the book is done. I think that all people will enjoy this book, I know that I did.

Summary: TRUE LOVE AT ITS FINEST
Review: A simple story about a boy and his dogs? Yes. But so much more. This book shows the love of a family, the love of two dogs, and the sacrifices involved. It has brought a tear to my eye (okay, more than one - a box of kleenex worth!!!) since reading it in elementary school. I've read it numerous times since then, and it touches my heart each time. My most recent purchase of it is my third or fourth copy - it's one that gets read and worn frequently!

It's suitable for readers of almost any age, although there are some scenes that might be difficult for readers under 9 or 10 (wild animals attack and injure the hero of the story, and the end is extremely emotional) it's beautifully written, a brilliant and touching story, and a must read for anyone who recognizes the bond between man and animal - and between animals with each other!

Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is a sterling book! This book is a story of a boy and his two dogs. Billy's family is poor and can't afford many things. But Billy wants two coon hounds that he saw in a newspaper article he found. After working very diligently Billy finally gets enough money, earning it all by himself. Billy gets his dogs, but can he train them well?
I liked this book because it was always interesting and intriguing. I also enjoyed the book because it was true to life. Even though I don't particularly enjoy hunting it was fun how jubilant Little Ann and Old Dan got when they treed a coon. It showed that both Little Ann and Old Dan were good hunters because they never meandered, they always got hot on a trail. Both dogs where always very loyal to Billy.
The author did a stellar at describingg Little Ann and Old Dan. The dogs were not behemoths of dogs but they were still great coon hunters. They made a fantastic team! The River Bottoms seemed like a very serene place to be until Little Ann and Old Dan find a trail or bark treed!
My favorite characters were Billy and Little Ann. I liked Billy because he was very diligent and hardworking, he never gave up. I liked Little Ann so much because she was always happy and hyper.
I recommend this book to any dog lovers or hunters. I also recommend it to anyone who wants to read a very good book and have a good cry.

Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows
Review: If you like books that have the main character fighting for what he wants then you will like this story. This story is really good in the beginning but gets sad at the end.
In this book the author sees some dogs fighting and beating up a red bone hound dog this dog happens to bring back memories for the author. He then takes the dog from the streets and takes him home with him. Then he starts his story.
As a young boy all he could thank of was having two hunting hounds, and he'll do anything to get enough money to buy his dogs to. He works day and night trying to earn just enough money, and once he gets these hounds he does everything with them.

I would definitely recommend this book

Summary: Two Dogs And A Boy
Review: Do you like books with adventure? Where the Red Fern Grows is the perfect book for you.'' It gives a lot of details like all the blood when someone falls on an ax. Billy hates not having two hunting dogs. His parents say no because they don't have enough money. He can't even have a gun until he's 21! He goes out for a walk and finds an ad for two hunting dogs on sale... He shows it to his grandpa and tells him to order them for him and he's going to save his money to pay for them. He makes his `randpa promise not to tell his parents. He agrees and orders the dogs.
I thought this book was great because it tells how the boy feels about everything. The plot is really adventurous. If you like books like that, this is the perfect book for you. I hope you go out and get this book. It's GREAT!!

Summary: Find Out How Much He Loves His Dogs
Review: Do you like adventure and sadness? Then the book Where the Red Fern Grows is the book for you. It is about a boy named Billy who wants some coonhounds, but his family can't afford them. He has to work to earn money to buy his two coonhounds. He has to travel to the city to get them. He has to train them, but to train them he needs a coon's hide. The bad thing is he doesn't know how to catch a coon. He named the dogs after two names he saw carved in a tree. The dogs' names were Old Dan and Little Anne. The boy and his coonhounds have many wonderful adventures.
I like Where the Red Fern Grows because it is has
sadness and adventure. I also like the way the boy cares for his two coonhounds. I would recommend this book to someone of any age because this book is a good book to read with the whole family.

Summary: The Worst Book Ever
Review: I read this book for a report and i hated every letter of the book. All this kid does is cry, cry, cry, and cry some more. Every page i turn says "I never do this, but a tear came to my eye when i saw my dogs playing"....Its like who cares!! He cries when he sees his dogs playing together. And whats the deal with this "coon skin". What kid wants a coon skin so bad that they will like cut down a fifty foot tree. Especially at the end when Old Dan is attacked by a mountian lion and dies. And then Little Ann dies of "depression"!! Hahahaa. And then when the father gets killed by the robber!! I would reccomend this book if you feel like laughing.
