Rating: Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. I loved it so much because it made you feel like you know the characters. I laughed, I cried. By the end of the book I cared for the characters. I recommend this book to anyone who has been a child. If you are a dog lover you can really relate to the main character. It is book you don't want to put down.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books in the world!!!! Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is one of the best books I've ever read in my life. It is a very sad story about a young boy and his two hound dogs. I really liked this book because it talks about two dogs and I used to have two dogs so I could really relate to the story. If you like animals and you really like to read, then this book is the right book for you. Especially if you like to read about action, adventure, and love then you should read Where the Red Fern Grows. Since I liked the book then I guarantee you'll like it just as much as I did.
Rating: Summary: I love this book :) Review: This is one of my favorite stories I've ever read. I feel like Billy, Little Ann, and Old Dan are my friends. Mr. Rawls keeps you on your toes the whole way through the book, which makes the hours spent reading worthwhile. My two favorite authors are Mr. Wilson Rawls, Where the Red Fern Grows, and Janet Teeple, The Color of Courage, which I see is available on Amazon.com. Both stories are wonderful additions to my library of over one hundred books. I'd recommend both books to anyone in the world. It is not a chore to read these books - it is an opportunity.
Rating: Summary: Awesome book! Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is an excellent book. Probably one of the best books ever written. I give it five stars. The book is written by Wilson Rawls. The story takes place in a rural area during the depression. The main characters are a young boy, about 11 years of age, and his two hound dogs. The book is about the relationship between the boy and his dogs. If you are one of those people who like sad books then this one is for you! It's a real tear-jerker! I read this book and when i got done with it I had streams of tears rolling down my cheeks. This is a really great book. I highly recommend that you read it. The movies good too!
Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ever Review: Just recently, I read the book Where the Red Fern Grows. It's about a boy who lives in the Ozark Mountatins with his parents and sisters. One day, he decides that he wants two hunting dogs. It takes place during the Great Depression, when many families are very poor, including his own. Since his family can't afford two dogs, he starts collecting money. After two years, he has enough. I enjoyed this book because it teaches kids about loving your family and responsibility. Even though though this book isn't new, it is the best one I've ever read.
Rating: Summary: The best book I ever read!!! Review: If like stories of a hunting and dogs this is a great book. I read it in two days, I just couldn't put it down. Its a book that I guarantee you will love and wish there were more books like it, it is better than "Old Yeller." It is a book that makes you wish you had that child hood and love with your dog/dogs. I would recomend it to anyone that likes a good book. It is more than a 5 out of five scale I would give it a 10 out of 5 scale it is just awesome. Please read it and you will love it to. Happy reading!
Rating: Summary: The unforgettable, touching tale of a boy and his dogs... Review: ... This story is about a boy who wants so badly to have two coon-hunting hounds. He gets his hounds, two beautiful red-bone hounds, the intelligant Little Ann, and the muscular and speedy Old Dan. Now, by saying that Billy (the little boy in this story) gets his hounds, I'm not giving anything away 'cause it's pretty dang obvious that he gets 'em, otherwise, what would be the whole point of this story? And also, Where the Red Fern Grows does not deserve a sequel, because this story is a one-book saga! Mr. Rawls also described the background and the dogs very well, as well as when Billy was chopping the "big tree". Anyway, this book was astoundingly written, and the emotional and saddening end seriously got to me. Get this book, get this gold.
Rating: Summary: Where The Red Fern Grows Review: Where The Red Fern Grows is a great book. This book is about an old man thinking back to his childhood. As a child he has always wanted dogs, so he raised up enough money for two coon dogs. He delivered the money but had to wait three weeks. So, at night when everyone was asleep he escaped home. When he got to the department store he picked up his dogs and made a new friend while he was there. He didn't have much time because he didn't want his family to worry about him. On his way home it was pretty rough. He got into a couple fights. When he got home his whole family was shocked to see him. He had decided that he will train the puppies at their young age and once they get older he will go coon hunting with them. Well, time went by and his dogs got old enough for coon hunting. He went out and found an ad on a coon hunting contest. He showed his Grandpa and Dad it and they let him go, actually they went with him. Will he win or lose? I guess you'll have to read the book to find out.
Rating: Summary: The best book I ever read Review: This book took me in on the first page. It was the first book that ever made me cry. I got so attached to the characters so that whatever happened to them, felt like it was happening to me.I had to read this for school. I am in fifth grade and though this book was an assignment, the last thing it felt like was homework. If you read this book, then you are a very lucky person.
