Summary: Exciting, happy, and sad
Review: I think that Where the Red Fern Grows was a great book. Billy wanted those two hunting hounds so much. I don't think I've ever wanted anything that bad. His family was too poor to get him the hounds so he worked and earned all the money for the dogs. That is what I call determination. When he got the dogs he trained them and they were the best in the country. His grandpa took him to a Championship Coon Hunt, which Billy won the Gold Cup and the Jack Pot. Billy and the dogs always went hunting and had a lot of fun. Near the end a tradgedy happens which was very sad. But at the end it all works out and they move to town so that they can have a good education and life. ...

Summary: One of My Favorites
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is an awesome book. I recomend this book to readers who always has a box of tissuses by their side. The main idea about this book is how Billy is determied to get what he wants (two dogs). After a couple of years Billy walked all the way to Tahlequah to get his dogs. Billy trained them both to be coon hunters. Billy and his dogs had a whole lot of adventures together. And after a terrible thing had happened Billy gets cheered up by going to a coon hunting contest. Billy comes home with a silver cup and a gold cup with the money. Billy loves his dogs so much, but a mountain lion attacked Billy. His dogs protected Billy. I love this book!

Summary: It's the best book to bring joyful tears to your eyes
Review: This book is the absolute thriller of the century.
Though it was written years ago the soul of the theme is still there. I could put myself in the position of Billy in every word!Just when you have no idea what life will bring, you ask, and he did receive.
The book starts out in the Ozarks, what a wonderful place to grow up in! Beatiful mountains and shrubery. But that is not what the story surrounds. It is about a boy and the love of dogs. Would you do anything to get what you want? Well if you haven't yet, you read this book and you will. When puppy love takes over a 13 year old boy strived to getwhat he wants, he saves until he has enough. (Now remember this is back in the 1930's.)His father needed a new mule, but he wanted to coon dogs and that is what he got. Taking every once of his strength to go get those pups, he succeed. Training, feeding, and non-sleeping nights, Billy and his family had them some purebred raccoon hunting dogs.
Every boy has a challege. Why, just on the first night of hunting Billy had a promice to keep. That is when they tree, he does the rest. And that is what he did, he cut down the biggest sycamore in the mountains! And for the rest of the hunting nights that is what they did.
Exciting and thrill taking. There is the most septacular moment in Billys life when he get excepted to the northern coon hunting chapionship tornament. It took hard work and determination to .... Can't tell you. But the theme is if you want something, go get it, til it runs out.
Take my word for it, this is the best book you will ever own! Based on their love for God and love for each other, this family makes everything work. I mean you don't have to be a dog lover to love this book. Hard work and determiation goes
far and even if you lose something you love dearly, they always give you something in return. And those dogs did...

I would recommend this book to anyone. I did not expect that the dogs would die. I liked the way that the dogs died so that Billy could live. The dogs loved Billy very, very much. I am
glad that I read this book.

Summary: A book that will never be forgoten: Where the Red Fern Grows
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is a wonderful book of two dogs and a boy. Billy was the name of the boy and his dogs are named Little Ann and Old Dan. Ann and Dan were hunting dogs that Billy trained and bought on his own. It might have been hard, but it was worth it. Billy and his dogs went hunting many times.
His Grandpa told him about a hunting championship that Billy and his dogs must enter. At the championship, Billy's small dog, Little Ann, wins a beuty contest that gets them a silver cup. Then the real competition starts. The dogs are determined to win, and they do, even though many obstacles get in their way. Billy and his dogs win a big gold cup and a pot of money.
After returning home, Billy takes his dogs out to hunt again. However, they run into a situation that they never wanted be involved in. A vicious mountain lion is prepard to tear Little Ann and Old Dan into pieces. In the end, Dan dies. He couldn't be saved. Also, Little Ann can't bear to be apart from him so she eventually dies too. A red fern grows between the dogs. It is said that only an angel can plant this rare plant. This book may be sad, but it is worth reading again and again. Each time, it will bring tears to your eyes. 3JKP

Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows Reveiw
Review: I thought Where the Red Fern Grows was a excellent book! It is about a boy, named Billy, that lives in the Ozarks of Oklahoma. He has been wanting two red blood hounds for a long time. He found a ad in a magazine that had two hounds for $50. He saved the money by working everyday. When he got them he trained them to be the best hounds in Oklahoma.
They have a lot of deadly adventures in their hunts. Some that could have killed all of them. Little Ann and Old Dan (hounds)get in a fight with a huge mountain lion and it turns out to be a sad ending. Saving someones life can cost yours but it is the love and the thought that counts.

Summary: A Down-to-Earth Story of Love, Heartbreak, and Perseverance
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows was one of the best books I've ever read. It was full of emotions such as love and sorrow. It kept me interested page through page.

It's about a 10 year old boy, Billy, that isn't so wealthy that lives in the Ozark Mountains. All he wants is two coon hounds, but unfortunately he can not afford them. With much determination he saves all the money he needs to buy them. Soon enough, he brings them home with nothing, but pure love and joy. The three of them later become an inseparable hunting team. All three them go through tough times, but they go through them together. The end of the story will inable you to relate to how Billy feels and you be left with tears in your eyes.

I strongly believe you should read this amazing book. It will fill your heart with love and teach you how far one is willing to go, just to get something.

Summary: a wonderful heart warming book
Review: Near the end of our 7th grade year we read the book Where the Red Fern Grows. Our class ,including me, loved it so much that we watched the movie. This book makes us cry and laugh. Books that do that have a wonderful power unknown to man. When you read the book it feels like you are actually Billy and that you go through all of the pain that Billy goes through. I loved it so much I am going to buy a copy for myself to enjoy. Billy gave me the strength to do anything and keep on trying.
I really enjoyed this book because all the simile and the methaphors also the personification. All of this gave the story a little extra spice. Where the red fern grows has a wonderful impact on your life. It will amaze you on how you look at the world again.
