Rating: Summary: Where the red fern grows Review: Where the red fern grows a story about a boy who decides to get some pups of his own.A story that will put you in the shoes of a young country boy madly in love with his two hunting dogs.Where the red fern grows has showed me how life can be innocent and good things happen to those whom are good.A story that made tears come to my eyes just reading about how he loses his dogs in just a couple of days and how he himself loses himself in misery.I give this book 5 golden stars!
Rating: Summary: The greatest book Review: If you love to read books with a lot of adventure, and just love dogs then maybe you should read "Where the red fern grows." This book is about a young boy named Billy that has lived around hunters all of his life and dreams to some day have his own hunting dogs. His grandfather owns a store and a lot of hunters come in and out each day.Billy saves his money from working for two years and asks his granfather to order them for him.Later in the book he and his dogs go on plenty of adventures that you will never believe. So read this book and take a journey with Billy and his dogs.
Rating: Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows Review: I thought this book was extremely good. I would recomend it to anyone who likes adventure and determination. I think the book is worth every penny. I only think that Billy's time with the dogs should have been longer.
Rating: Summary: What I thought of "Where the Red Ferns Grow" Review: The book "Where the Red Ferns Grow" by Wilson Rawls is exciting and very heart-warming. This was a very good book which took me to the Ozarks Mountains. The main characters in this story are Billy, Old Dan and Little Ann. In this story Billy buys two dogs to hunt with. In the end, Billy hunts his last time and they end up with fighting a mountain lion. That is why I gave this book 5 stars. So, I recommend that you would read "Where the Red Ferns Grow" because you too would go on the adventure I went on.
Rating: Summary: bored yet intrigued Review: I didn't think this book was very "eye-catching", but it is very detailed. I got bored at some parts of the book, but since it is so goodly written I was intrigued to know what would happen next. I would say this is a good book to try out, but It isn't a type of book I would read again. I enjoyed this book because the story was complete and the plot was easy to understand.
Rating: Summary: What I think about this book Review: I thought that overall, Where The Red Fern Grows was a good book. It was not one of the greatest books i've read but I would reccomend it to anyone who is in the mood for a good book. This book had certain parts that had great details and lots of action. These parts kept me interested. I first read this book in 5th grade and i thought it was alot better the second time around. This book was about Billy's adventures, his love for his dogs, and the courage and determination he has throughout his adventures. Billy's love and determination is only one of the things that I think made the book good. I think that many of us can relate to Billy and what he was going through. I think that this is a great book for anyone that is interested in action, adventure and a little bit of sadness. If you read this book I think you yourself are in for an adventure.
Rating: Summary: Where The Red Fern Grows Review: This book was really good I enjoyed it a lot! The begining was kinda suprising that someone so young can get something they want if they're determined enough and if they try. The ending was really touching and the relationship Billy had with his dogs was wonderful and I think if someone has a dream they should go out and try to complete just like Billy's dream of wanting a dog now I know that if I try hard enough and believe in myself I can do whatever I dream.
Rating: Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows Review: This book is about a boy named Billy and two red hounds, Old Dan and Little Ann who lives near the Ozarks mountains in Oklahoma.I think this book is really good because I keep on guessing what will happen next and I recommend everybody to read this book.
Rating: Summary: a great book to read again and again Review: In my personal opinion, This book teaches many lessons for everybody. One such example is that hard work will get you many good things out of life. This Book is also very emotional (meaning that you will probably want to cry when you finish the book). One thing you should probably know is that in the book Wilson Rawls uses the word 'coon'. Don't worry - this is an abreviation for racoon. Another very interesting fact is that this book is based on a true story (probably Wilson's).
Rating: Summary: This Book Sucked Review: This was the most BORING book I have ever read. It's amazing how much a person can bable on about a single topic. Sometimes talking about one thing and only one thing is a good thing but in this case it's a bad thing! The author keeps rambbling on about how wonderful the dogs are and how Billy grows up so quickly, but the main point is that WE DONT CARE!!! The dogs can die (which they did)for all we care! Sure it has a touchy sweet side to it about a boy and his dogs but other than that I find it pointless to waste time reading this book.
