Rating: Summary: my review Review: The Pigman By: Paul Zindel Its book was published by: Bantam Doubleday Dell The copy right date was: 1968What I thought of The Pigman The story The Pigman had its ups and downs. The main characters of the story were John, Lorraine, and Mr.Pignati. John and Lorraine are in high school. Mr. Pignati is an old man who lives by him self in a house with nobody and his house I dirty and dusty. John and Lorraine were making prank calls and they found the phone number of Mr. Pignati and called him and told him they were part of a fund that takes donations and they asked him if he wanted to donate money and he gave them ten dollars. Then they felt sorry for him and hung out with him to make him feel better. I didn't like this story because it's not my style of a story. I reccomened this story to people about 12 years old.
Rating: Summary: The Pigman from a teenager Review: The Pigman is an epic tale about a young boy, John, and his best friend, Lorraine, on their search to find themselves and a quest to helping their new friend, the Pigman. The two friends accidentally meet the Pigman in a prank calling accident. The Pigman's constantly jovial attitude on life instantly captures the lives, hearts, and minds of John and Lorraine. The kind old widower befriends the teenagers without question. Personally the book didn't "jump out at me" when I was picking it out, but I read the first page and I was hooked. This fast-paced book will keep anyone in pages turning. The adventurous thrilling novel really puts you into the mindset of a teenager no matter how
Rating: Summary: The Pigman Review: The Pigman is the story of two highschool sophmores and their relationship with a strange old man named Angelo Pignati. The two kids, John and Lorraine, first meet Mr. Pignati after playing a phone prank on him, and they soon become very close friends. The eccentric old man gives John and Lorraine a bright spot in their dull lives, taking them to the zoo, playing tag on rollerskates and doing all sorts of crazy things with them. Mr. Pignati teaches the two high schoolers how to be children again. I have really enjoyed reading this story. It is really interesting how John and Lorraine take turns narrating chapters, and that really gives the reader a good perspective on the events of the story. Alternatingly funny and sad, this book is a great read for any young adult reader.

Rating: Summary: an amazing book Review: I read this book along time ago but it such a truely great book. The author does an incredible job writing it and making you care for the characters. You'll feel sad for the pigman and happy when he finally finds friends. This is a sad book but worth the read.
Rating: Summary: >.< I hate this book! Review: This book was so incredibly stupid! I hated it, I had to read it 4 years ago in my 7th grade Honors English class. It was VERY tedious. If you are going to buy a book, try a classic like Oliver Twist. ^_~
Rating: Summary: The Pigman Review: The book "The Pigman" was the best i have ever read! i liked it so much because i had never really read anything that dealed with that kind of conflict. I found it cool that you could totally tell how was writing, mostly because the guy has certain ways of telling things and the girl is more deep in her wirting. After i read it i wished so badly that a movie would come out about the book, and who knows maybe some day it will. i thought it was sweet that they showed so much friendship between all three of them. But i think the best thing is how a lot of people can relate to the story, because we dont all have perfect parents, and it gives them more hope and shows that friendship it the biggest joy that life can give you, but that there is a point or a line that you just cant cross!
Rating: Summary: Important themes in The Pigman Review: As a future teacher I would use this book in my classroom to help me bring up hard subjects. This book is full of different themes such as broken families, friendships, respect, humor, and dealth. We see through out this book how the main characters John and Lorraine can relate to each other and are true friends. They both have a hard family life so when they meet the pigman they have an excape from their homes. They see that life can be fun. They also learn a valuable lesson on trust. The Pigman trusts them and they betray him by having a huge party at his house when he is in the hospital. They realize true friendship is more important than trying to be popular and having parties. The end of this book was very sad, but it taught a great lesson on not taking people for granted. I will not tell you how it ends becuase you may not have read it yet, but I bet you can guess. I would recommend this book to everyone. It is not a story that a person is used of reading.
Rating: Summary: The Pigman Review: I think "The Pigman" is a book that explains how life has many different point of veiws and tells the reader that even though something may be different such as being overweight or not being as pretty as a supermodel, that you shouldn't deny it. It also says what many teenagers and young adults go through, not only peer pressure, but also how they relate to parents.
