Summary: The Pigman didn't keep my interest.
Review: Kristen [about]: The Pigman is a story about a boy named John, and a girl named Lorraine. Lorraine had just moved to John's neighbourhood, and the two had come from not so good of a family. John has a few bad habits and Lorraine has a case of paranoia. Mr. Pignati, or, The Pigman, is an old, 'round' guy who has a cheerful disposition and is just lonely. The children befriend him and learn the hardships of having an older friend, and that death is apart of life and will come to all.. eventually.

Jennifer [opinion]: I didnt like any parts of the book because of the plot. It was not interesting and it dated back to far in the past. Mr. Pignati got on my nerves because he acted to immature for an old man. I liked Bobo the baboon the best because he was a monkey and he didn't get on my nerves. I also liked John but not Lorraine because John was willing to take and chances and Lorraine worried about everything and she sounded as if she was a 'goody-two-shoes'. That is my opinion on this book. I would not recommend this book unless you enjoy being bored!

Summary: My opinion on The Pigman
Review: The story begins when John and Lorraine decide to play a phone game. One of them call up Mr.Pignati(the Pigman) and ask him to donate some money. After this, they all become close and begin spending a lot of time together. John, Lorraine, and the Pigman, experience many new things together.
The story was really interesting and I encourage anyone who likes loving stories to read it. For some of us, it will open up eyes, while it is just entertaining to others. The Pigman was definitley a book that I really enjoyed reading.

Summary: Good book for school
Review: I read this book in my english course in Germany. It was a good novel for the first meeting with english lecture but I wouldn't read it on my own.
The Relationship between John,Lorraine and the Pigman is very strange. In the beginning the students only meet him to get 10 dollar but when they saw this old lonely man feels sorry for him. But after a few activities together they like this old man very much and have a lot of fun together.
I think the Pigman is like a substitute for the youngsters parents who treat them like things and not like persons.
The fascinating think about this book is that it is so old but still actual. In my opinion Paul Zindel idea of the changing writers is helpful to get to know the feelings and the situations of the kids very well.

Summary: From the teacher's standpoint
Review: The Pigman follows the lives of two teenage friends, John and Lorraine, who feel disconnected from their peers and family. The story recounts their friendship with a lonely widower, The Pigman, whom they meet through a prank phone call. Their relationship with the Pigman grows into a friendship that enriches all of their lives. John and Lorraine alternate narrating the story, giving two different perspectives to the same story. Students will find it easy to relate to the two main characters who deal with their feelings of lonliness and alienation. The book deals with some common teenage themes including guilt, love, responsibility, and the desire to make something important out of their own lives.

Summary: A nice book for people of all ages
Review: I half read this book in school in the eighth grade and I remember that I absolutely hated it... but my brother and I were discussing it the other day so I decided to read it again. It is such a wonderful book. It is well written with a great story that you can love at any age.

Summary: It's Dull !
Review: This book is kind of dull to me.I had to take a test on it at school and it was complicated. The whole concept was odd. The idea of kids who drink and smoke was rude. I read this in seventh grade. I was confused by it. I wouldn't recommend it at all! {:<(

Review: A Review by Cassie

Vivian who is a fifteen year old werewolf falls in love with Aiden a human. She and her pack attend school, go to work, and mingle with; but the humans are not aware of the pack's double life. Vivian is struggling because she wants to reveal her true identity to Aiden. If she did, this would be a threat to the pack. People are getting brutally murdered and no one knows who is committing the murders, not even the pack. Will Vivian tell Aiden she is a werewolf and will the pack survive?

I like how the author put a lot of detail into her descriptions, such as when the characters transform into werewolves. But in some instances I felt there was too much detail. For example, "He tasted her thoroughly, his tongue caressing her..."
I didn't know someone could put so much detail in a kiss. Even though this book is fictional, the author made it seem real and brought the characters to life. The dialogue between the main character, Vivian, and the reader was unique because you were able to know her thoughts as well as what Vivian said.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy mysteries and adventure. It captures your attention and makes you want to continue reading.
