Summary: "Headline news...remarkable...won't be denied."
Review: Meet Mr. Pignati, a lonely old man with a beer belly, and an awful secret. He's the Pigman, and he's got a great big twinkling smile. When John and Lorraine, two high school sophomores, meet Mr. Pignati, they learn his whole sad, zany story. They tell it right here in this book-the truth, and nothing but the truth-no matter how many people it shocks or hurts.

Summary: A real tear jerker
Review: I love this book. I read it two years ago, and the whole story still remains in my head and my heart. It really shows the meaning of friendship, and little about betrayal

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: its very good because of the characters.
Review: the pigman is a very good book for classes to study. many teens will like it because it doesnt really require a literary person to enjoy it. the two characters are trouble makers and they cut class so they feel easier to relate to than perfect students. also, they dont like their parents. a lot of people can relate to that. the pigman contains humor yet it also is very sad. there is something for everyone to relate to therefore so many teens enjoy it.

Summary: Awesome!!
Review: I had to read this book for eight grade English and loved it. I don't know how many times I read this since then (I'm a junior now). This is one book I highly recommend to everyone.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A wonderful book!
Review: I thought this book was great! It was on my sixth grade reading list, but when I got it I thought it looked really dumb, so I put it away until May. Our reading teacher made us read it for the month and I loved it. The beginning isn't exactly the greatest beginning, but after that it gets great. I recommend it to anyone, and can't wait to read The Pigman's Legacy.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Small pigs, big pigs, red pigs, blue pigs. Pigs, pigs, pigs!
Review: Starting as a simple game and leading to a close friendship, The Pigman by Paul Zindel was a test of true loyalty. The main characters John and Lorraine learn life's lessons the hard way. The reader will be both humored and touched through the games, jokes, visits to the zoo, and tears. The real meaning of life is found in a friend known as the Pigman.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A good book, perfect for a confused teenager.
Review: John and Lorraine are trying to understand them selves growing up their experiances with a strange man, who lives alone. I thought "The Pigman" was well writen and a good story. The problem was it lacked a strong back bone to it all. It had a basic good story, and a exelent way for teenagers to relate with two children who might be having the same basic troubles. Zindel does a good job of mixing all of the teen troubles(love, school, friends, peerpressur) in to a big modgepodge of a story. Over all, "The Pigman" would be exelent reading for someone 12-15 years of age. If it was given a viewer rating, I would give it a "PG" for mild drug use, and talk of sex. If someone younger then 12 were to read it they would not understand all of the troubles the children face. If someone through puberty(15+) were to read it they would not relate as much.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Hilarious and down-to-earth
Review: Paul Zindel has a wonderul ability to transform himself into real adolescent charaters. The Pigman is written in a down-to-earth, funny and realistic way. The story is about two youngsters who befriend a lonely old man. They share a wonderful frindship. Zindel breaks your heart over what happens to their relationship in the end and leaves you with cold, sad reality.
