Rating: Summary: Did the all time favorite Cabot really wrote this? Review: At first when I heard the fourth book of the princess diaries was coming out, I was thrilled. At the same time, it was my best friend's birthday. So I decided to buy one copy for her and one copy for myself. I couldn't wait to read it when I got home! But I was so busy that I couldn't read it. Until a week later, my best friend called me and complained that I shouldn't have bought her that book. I asked her why and she said it was boring and the storyline was weak. I decided to read it myself to find out what she meant. And gosh, was she ever right! I almost blew up when I discovered that I wasted [my money]! ... I'm sorry, Meg, but I just thought this would be the best book out of all of the three books. I had the impression that the volumes get better one by one. Sadly, it didn't.This book talks about Mia going to Genovia for the first seventy eight pages. And then she has a hard time deciding how to cancel their date with Michael because she has to attend a ball that her Grandmere set up. She's so worried that Michael might break up with her if she cancels her date with him. Then on one page she writes that she loves it when Michael bosses her around. And on the previous books, she writes that family was more important than boys. And then, in this one, she writes that she loves Michael better than her mom! There was also my fav characters missing: Bratty Lana, Hilarious Mr. G., Lily, and her mom. I thought hysterical Grandmère and René saved the book. But, so far, I thought that was all. If Rene and Grandmere was not in it, this book would be cat litter. I'm so sorry to everyone who likes this book, if I insulted you. I'm just shocked that my all-time-favorite-author wrote this.
Rating: Summary: I usually don't criticize books, but... Review: Mia acted like a spoiled brat in this book! She know she loves Michael, but she presents herself as if she doesn't like him so she would get more of Michael's attention. On one page she wrote that she loves Michael more than her mom! She would NEVER say that! No offense to Miss Cabot, but I think you might be running out of good ideas. So far, I still think A Princess In Love is way better. Mia really acted like she was the center of the world in this one.
Rating: Summary: This book is terrible Review: The first three books were good, but when this one came out it was a big dissapointment because it was so ...ultra boring.
Rating: Summary: This book was good Review: I am a huge fan of the princess diary series. I read the first book two days after it was released and then was hooked. This book brings Micheal and Mia together but apart for a portion of the book. Grandmere of course has to stick her nose in Mia's business. And just when we think the princess lessons are over Mia messes up and grandmere enforces them longer. I recommend reading ALL the books first.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Sequel! Review: The fourth book in the Princess Diaries series, this one continued right where "Princess In Love" left off. Mia has been spending her winter break in Genovia so she could be formally introduced to Genovians. However, Genovians have never seen a princess like Mia- who believed that Genovia needs public parking meters because of traffic and parking problems! Mia dosen't enjoy it that much in Genovia, especially because she couldn't see her new boyfriend Michael, who she has been in love with forever. Mia only got to speak to Michael a couple of times on the phone, and she had been counting the days down in her journal until winter break is over and she can see Michael again. When Mia gets back to Genovia, Michael finally asks her out on a date to the movies! But then once again, Mia found out she couldn't go because Grandmere (as usual) wanted her to go to a black-and-white ball the exact same day as her date with Micheal! Not only that, but Mia is depressed because now she's afraid Micheal is going to dump her for not going, she figures out herself she has no special talent, and when Lily tells her she does, Mia spends all her time trying to figure it out! However, the ending is one of the best parts of the story- where everything turns out okay in the end.
Rating: Summary: Repetition Review: I have loved all of the princess diaries books up until the 4th one. The book just ended up being the same story over over and over. Nothing special really happens and its an okay read i guess. Basically, its 'I love Micheal!!!' and 'I hate princess lessons!!!' and that's it.
Rating: Summary: FUNNY! Review: I love all of the princess diaries books they are all fabulous!
Rating: Summary: Interesting! Review: I love this book! Mia has finally gotten her luv, cept she's in Genovia and he's in Florida! Will their love survive the distance? Maybe... Cabot's blunt style of portraying characters in her story is hilarious and so true, that it makes you cringe!! The paving is very good and I loved this book so much, I finished it in one sitting!! = ] I absolutely loved the ending... Get this book!!! It's worth your time and money!
Rating: Summary: Another Star! Review: Meg writes another hit. Princess Mia is in turmoil over whether her boyfirend loves her or is in love with her while arguing over issues like getting parking meters in Genovia and what to say to Prince William at a Polo tourniment. I found Mia's activities in Genovia and her cousin Rene highly amusing. Her obsession over whether Micheal really loved her got old after awhile but that's what real teenagers are like. We obsess over stupid things. What I really liked were the Jane Eyre concepts, Mia and Lillie's lists, and Mia's struggle over what her hiddden talent was, when it really was staring her right in the face. All in all this was a WONDERFUL book. I loved it as much as all the others. And I can't wait for the fifth Princess Diaries book.
Rating: Summary: Princess In Waiting Review: This is a great book and I loved it. Every thing is funny, sweet, cute, etc etc etc! I still think Princess in Love is the best, though. I recommend that you dont read this book until you have read the first three in the series since the book and the movie are TOTALLY different, down to the characters. So if you want to really understand and like this book, read the first three in the series (Princess Diaries, Princess in the Spotlight, and Princess In Love) This whole series is my favorite series and the movie (The Princess Diaries) is my favorite. ENJOY!
