Summary: This book is excellant, and the best book you could find.
Review: This book should sell more copies than the bible and the fact that no movie is being made about it is the loss to the movie industry and the great luck for all book buffs who love a good read. The book is about a time in the future when Earth has been invaded but not conquered by an alien speiceis called "Buggers". It is about the Earths newest breed of soldiers, the very young from about five to twelve. One child, Ender Wiggin, is chosen at the age of six and goes to this training center. The rest of the story goes on to how he handles the rest of his time growing up with the single intent to destroy the buggers and the conflicts that provides. It is about the human and very often over looked side of children that is never realised because books by children that young make no sense. If you ever want to really have to think about a book this is the chose I strongly reccomend.

Summary: A Book That Matters
Review: Ender's game is an insightful and thought-provoking novel about the life of a young boy by the name of Andrew Wiggin, or Ender. Ender is the smartest human alive. This intelligence does not come without a price, however. People try to put him down, but he advances in spite of them. At the same time, an invasion of an alien race, the buggers, has been planned. He is sent to Battle School, to learn how to fight. But forces beyond his control play with him, trick him, and put him at the end of his rope. He eventually survives his trials and goes on to do great things, but this book is much more than a basic science fiction plot. It is a book that shows that intelligence is useless without motivation. It shows that a man must assert himself to gain his freedom. And it shows that no matter what the intent, control of one person by anyone or anything has serious psychological effects on the individual.Ender's game is a very meaningful and powerful book. It will touch your heart and let your imagination run wild. It is a powerful novel that may just change your life. This novel is a must-read in the truest sense of the phrase

Summary: Ender's Game: virtually unreadable book
Review: I was interested in this book because it's gotten so many strong reviews -- both positive and negative --from other readers of Amazon's site. Unfortunately, the author's smooth command of language and subtle characterization were flawed by the fact that the text is colored dark navy and appears on black pages, thus making it virtually unreadable

Summary: Fantastic! Card takes the world by storm, literally!
Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. This book takes the sci-fi crowd to a new plateau. If you've never read sci-fi, this is the one to start with. The scene is set with a young boy, Andrew Wiggins, or Ender, having a monitoring device removed from his skull. He gets into trouble and kills a boy. From there he is wanted for the International Fleet to protect the world for when the "buggers" attack again. He attends battle school, and is selected to continue his training. He attends command school, and is almost wiped out by the pressure. His friends from battle school join him, and unknowingly, they...well, guess you'll have to read to find out

Summary: Intensly Written!
Review: I had to buy this book in hardback because I kept wearing the paperback version's out. This is a story you will read again and again. A disturbing view of the future with suprises in every chapter

Summary: Incredible...
Review: It's so rare nowadays to read a book where the author has spent so much time constructing a realistic, three-dimensional character. More than any other aspect of writing, characterization is the area that Orson Scott Card excels in. (It is perhaps no accident that he also wrote a book for the Writer's Digest series called "Character & Style.") Ender Wiggin is one of those characters that becomes indelibly imprinted upon your memory after the first encounter. Not only that, but the emotional intensity of the book is unusual for a science fiction novel as well. Card's gift is to create characters that are ultimately faced with a difficult decision, and by the time the reader reaches that point in the story, you know exactly WHY the charcter makes that decision. That gift is adeptly demonstrated in his other books...what's unusual about "Ender's Game" is how the character makes these choices without ever fully recognizing the scale of the consequences, something that Card does not do in any of his other works. That quirk merely heightens the sense of isolation that Ender provokes in the reader. There are a lot of books out there with terrific plots with wonderful twists and turns, but precious few written with the skill to make you CARE about the main characters, even if they aren't the greatest or the nicest person in the story. "Ender's Game" is such a story.

Summary: A "READING MAGNET"
Review: THIS STORY, FIRST AS A SHORT STORY AND LATER AS A NOVEL, DREW MY TEEN AGE SON INTO THE WORLD OF READING. I HAVE COLLECTED MR. CARD'S WRITING FOR YEARS (STARTING, OF COURSE, WITH "ENDER'S GAME)," AND WAS DELIGHTED WHEN MY SON DISCOVERED THIS GREAT AUTHOR. AS MY SON NEARS THE AGE OF 30 HE STILL CONSIDERS "ENDER'S GAME" TO BE ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS HE HAS EVER READ (AND THE BOOK HOLDS A PLACE AT THE TOP OF MY LIST). THE BOOK SHOULD BE IN EVERY UPPER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY. IT WILL DRAW CHILDREN LIKE A MAGNET INTO THE WORLD OF GOOD LITERATURE

Summary: Best Book Ever Published!
Review: I cannot believe anyone gave this book less than a 10. It is superb, not only because the story is fast paced and interesting, but because when you read ender's game, you don't just read a story, you experience Ender's life as if it were your own. That's why so many people gave this book a 10 - not because they felt for Ender - but because they felt with Ender. After reading the book you'll understand what I mean. All children should read this book simply to learn and how to think. Most adults don't like it because it just challenges their worldview, but if you are generally a positive person who is willing to learn something new, you'll love this book.

Summary: A Ruthless Chess
Review: Ender is born to a deliberately hostile setting where only way out for him is to strike back with an even more cruel hostility he loathed. Many times throughout the story you find yourself fluctuating between a desire for justful vengeance -and you get it thoroughly, and Ender's humane longing to be loved or at least to be left alone. Yet his extraordinary capabilities serve only to keep him trapped in his games where the changing rules are the major opponent. And Behind the scenes you confront the cold-blooded manipulators whose excuse is to create a world-saving hero out of Ender. Enjoy the game where each victory is an obligatory ticket to an even more monstrous battle. Reminds of something familiar, huh ?
