Rating: 5 stars
Summary: very thorough
Review: This book was a great resource for the test. The grammar (sentence correction/identifying error) section was amazing and contains just about everything you need to be able to get an 800. As for the essay portion, you just need to be a good writer. The tips do help somewhat, and so does looking at the example essays and practicing brainstorming with the sample prompts. But after that, you are on your own.

I wouldn't say that I'm an amazing writer, but with just this book, I was able to get an 800 on my first try.

Summary: Very good
Review: This is a great book which will help you master the test in a short period of time. The test itself is very simple, and this book should help you feel very confident when it's time to take the test.

Summary: THE BOOK THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE
Review: this is perhaps the most useful book you could ever find for Sat II Writing! :) high score guaranteed!

Summary: Disappointing
Review: Unlike other Barron's test preparation books, this book turns out to be a big disappointment. The practice tests do not resemble actual tests. They give you a lot grammatical rules that are so confusing. Having read the grammatical rules, i was more confused than anyone else taking the test. It turns out that "the more you practice, the more you err". This book does not give you enough examples. Practice test are flawed with numerous errors. Regrettedly, there are no good preparations for SAT II Writing. The only thing you can do is to get accustomed with English language.

Summary: Your key to a 700+
Review: Words can not express the level of gratitude that I have for this book. Before using this book, I was not exactly the greatest writer: I was getting low scores on the sat writing tests, and my english papers were chock-full of grammatical errors. However, after I used this book, I've noticed that my papers are so much more organized and grammar-free, and the style of writing is more enticing. My writing sounds more intelligent. To top it off, I got a 720 on the SAT II writing test, which is not bad even for Harvard. This book has helped me so much. Thank you, Barrons!
