Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: Artimis fowl is a great book Eion Colfers first of 3 books. It is also the best out of the one out of the three in my opinion. The book flows very well and has a great plot. I recamend this book to anyone who loves faerie tales mixed with a little action!
Rating: Summary: Artemis Fowl Review: Artemis Fowl Copyright 2000 By: Eoin Colfer Published by: Schoolaltic ReadersI think the book Artemis fowl was ok. The main chacters are Artemis fowl, Butler, Caption Holy, and Commander Root. Artemis is like the master mind trying to steel a large sum of Gold. Butler is the lacky who does what Artemis tells him to, always has at least one weapon, and can kill a man without caring. Cuss he is like a major cime lord. Caption Holy is like a trouble maker, never flows the rules, and is always under Commander Roots skin. Commander Root is the commander of the Lcm, as a very sort temper, and thinks he isn't as old as he looks. This story would be ok for some reads. The only thing I don't like is the frist five chapters put you to sleep, the plot is easy to figure out, and the only really good chapter is chapter 9 or 10. Cuss the butler pulls of some major hand to hand commbat moves out. It all true I would not tell anyone to read this book.
Rating: Summary: Artemis Fowl Review: This book is about a 12-year-old millionaire and fairies and the quest to get money. This is the first book of the series of great books you will like if you like fantasy, fairies, and other mystical creatures in an adventure together. This book came out of nowhere and kept me guessing over and over on what was going to happen to the fairies. This book is very exciting specially when Artemis's butler takes out a whole bunch of mythical creatures in one blow. This book is the best short chapter book I have read. This book is a book you can't put down and keeps you learning to read harder word in different languages.
Rating: Summary: Good to Great! Review: It takes a lot for me to like a book and I love the whole Artemis Fowl series! It has a lot of adventure, E.C. writes with such action an excitement, you just fall in love with the characters. It's amazing and I definetly recommend it to everybody!
Rating: Summary: Artemis Fowl -- A great book Review: I read this book because I picked it up at a school book fair. The book seemed to start out slow, but it picked up the pace very quickly. This book features Artemis Fowl, a twelve-year-old criminal mastermind, as he tries to pull off the perfect crime. The only difference between Artemis Fowl and any other organized crime book is that Artemis Fowl has a secret underground fairy race. ... I recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy, but I think this book is made for kids ages 10-14
Rating: Summary: Twelve-year-old Genius Review: While most twelve-year-old boys are playing video games and reading comic books, Artemis Fowl Jr. is scheming and plotting in ways that only he can. "How does one describe Artemis Fowl?" A genius? Most definitely, but a genius who chooses to use his brilliance to carry on the long criminal history of the Fowl family. With the help of his Body guard, Butler, and Butler's little sister, Artemis plots the most daring and unheard of scheme possible--he plans to get a hold of leprechaun gold. In order to do this, he must learn the secrets of the fairy world, and use it against them. But can even Artemis Fowl's brilliance be any match for the fairies' shield, time-stop, mesmer, and their most dreaded Bio-bomb. With Characters like Holly short of the LEPrecon, Foaly the technologically minded centaur, and Mulch the kleptomaniac dwarf, this story is an interesting combination of the real world, and the fantasy world. Although boys around the age of twelve would be most drawn to it, this book can be enjoyed by a variety of people.
Rating: Summary: I've read it twice!! Review: Artemis Fowl is amazing! No matter what type of book you like, Artemis Fowl has it. There are sprites, dwarfs, and centaurs for fan lovers. Futureistic weapons add tools for science-fiction lovers and there's even a kidnapping for you adventure lovers! The book is about a twelve year old genius who wants to recapture his family's billion dollar status. To do so, he is willing to commit crimes that will cross two worlds and nearly bring those worlds to an interspecies war! Who knew getting a leprecons gold would be so dificult? What more could you want in a book? I know I love Eoin Colfer's writing and I know you will too.
Rating: Summary: Long time favorite at our house Review: With my kids this is a long time favorite, only bested by Stanek's The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches. I doubt there are many kids who haven't read this yet, so I'll describe this for parents who may be reading this review. Artemis Fowl is about a boy genius (a criminal genius). His character is supposed to be dark but he's not really. It's more over the top fun than anything else. Other than a bit of farting nothing in hear I wouldn't want my kids to read. Personally I enjoyed it as well.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME! Review: By far and away the best of the Artemis Fowl books! The idea of a kid criminal mastermind that the strongest and smartest of adults fear to meet is implausible but very attractive if you are close to his age :-) And his modern- day faries that he finds, not with a magic spell, but with computers and old- fashioned legwork are believable (believe it or not!). The plot keeps twisting as agents switch sides in a bluffing game full of attacks and counterattackes and sieges between two geniuses with lots of money at their disposal. A strategic gem!

This book is about fairies, codes and magic but not classic fairytale magic - modern techno-magic... You pick it up...You can't put it down!
