Rating: Summary: Man-O-Man Review: The Gossip Girl Series is the best I've ever read in my life! No joke! I found them in alloy magizine and book stores so I finally got them and man they go fast. I always want to read more. Waiting for the 4th book to come was hard because I was in love with all the characters. Ok so maybe some of the stuff is unreal and nobody really relates to some of the issues but come on that's the fun of it. Reading something that would never happen to me. I got some of my friends into them also and they are totally in love. We read them in about 2 days. I'd like to find out who Gossip Girl really is but that might take the whole mystery out of the book!
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best in the series!!!! A must read! Review: This is the fourth book in the highly read series. I love them so much that I had my houskeeper pick it up for me when she went to New York to visit her family (I live in St.Moritz, Switzerland so the sojourn to a suitable bookstore was less than desirable) and when it arrived via FedEx I tore through it and finished it in 3 hours! It was fantastic, Blair and Serena are back and better then ever! Kudos to the author for the creation of another delicious confection of guts, glamour and greed.
Rating: Summary: Wheeeeee!! Review: So far, I have loved every book in the Gossip Girl series. As soon as I heard the fourth installment, Because I'm Worth It, came out, I ran out and bought it... it only took me about a day to read. If you liked the other three GG books, this book is defintitly for you.
Rating: Summary: it's not worth it Review: I really enjoyed the other books in this series, but by the end of this one, I hated all of the charaters. You can't really relate to any of them because they are all insane! Reading about Dan in this book made me want vomit
Rating: Summary: talked to someone whos lived it Review: hello after reading this book and finding more and more how much i am like these girls. after all i live in a huge fabulous beverly hills mansion. not to brag but being wealthy isn't all that it is played up to be. of course it does have its perks. anyway i love thesse books. having applied to yale myself i cannot tel you how nerve racking interviews are. you know you love me chrissy
Rating: Summary: Gossip Girl is still going strong!!!!!!!! Review: This book is a must read for all you Gossip Girl Fans. Serena is still a goddess, Blair's insecure as ever, and Nate is still a pothead. I say no more, just make sure you read this book! I can't wait until the next one. And the question still lies unanswered.......... who is gossip girl?
Rating: Summary: Almost the best Review: THe first got me hooked and the second and third i enjoyed reading but this one i couldnt put down.Nathan and Dan and Chuck even Aaron they all suprised me.It all made sense.Blair isnt really mean in this one but her story was sorta the same as the last and Serena defintaly can annoy me.Vanessa is ok and I loved reading Jenny's parts (not that im a lesbian) but because friends can be who you least expect them to be.A must read for all teenage girls.I cant wait for the next.
Rating: Summary: Just as good as I expected! Review: Having read all of the others with Blair as my ultimate favorite character, I couldn't wait to see if she got into Yale. I 'll still have to wait on that one, but Blair surprises us a little in this book. her heart is suddenly not two sizes too small. She does some nice things for Jenny and the other freshmen girls she is in charge of, and she is still psycho about getting into Yale. I think she might give up life if she thought it would help her get into Yale!Vanessa and Dan both get lucky in this book, and become almost famous. they deal with it differently, however, Vanessa's more favorably than Dan's... Nate gets busted finally (and we all thought that kind of thing just didn't happen to guys like Nate!), and his rehab experiance is funny and amusing. Georgina Sparks, a new character (who I personally like), attracts Nates attention... Serena and Aaron start off as cute as ever and they seem to be the happiest people in the world. Eventually, though, they have to break up. Serena has to be with a different boy in every book or she'll just bore herself to death... Jenny/Jennifer begins to grow up a make some new friends. but maybe they're not what she expected?
Rating: Summary: You are SO not worth it... Review: As a fifteen year old girl, I yearn for the lifestyle prtrayed in these books-upscale, exclusive, & oh so partylicious. These books are my fix. This one was not my favorite. I really enjoyed "You Know You Love Me" but this one was probably my second best. I am Blair-straight up b*tch. She's the most wicked character & I get get enough of her! I feel awful for the way she falls over Nate-get over it. He may be a hottie, but Aaron sounds sweet AND convenient. Serena reminds me of my "bestfriend", you know, the one you've been friends with forever but suddendly goes selfcentered? Yeah. Her. Vannessa & Dan bore me. Although I thought his little cheating was a good discussion. Jenny needs a life. ... I like that Chuck's gay. It all makes sense now :) ANyway, this wasn't the best book, but still a good story line. I want to know who gossipgirl is!! I'm thinking it's someone who isn't even introduced as a character. I want to make sure Blair got into Yale, too. & I was admitedly dissapointed she didn't score with the father. HONESTLY! ...
Rating: Summary: Dyno-mite! Review: I have absolutely no idea what some of these other reviewers are talking about! This book is the best one out of all of them, except maybe the first one. I found the 2nd and 3rd books of the GG series kind of pointless in some areas, and not nearly as funny as the first one. In this 4th new Gossip Girl book, I thought it was going to be exactly like the 3rd one, slightly boring with pointless events, but I was wrong. It made me laugh as much as the original Gossip Girl did. Even if it sure seemed like it was going to be like the 3rd one in the beginning, nearing the end of the book, I was just struck with shock. As many other reviewers have already stated, Serena becomes more unrealistic with each book. She lacks so much personality in an obvious attempt to make her seem "perfect", which I find completely and utterly annoying. Blair, on the other hand, is most certainly imperfect, but I believe she was much nicer in this book. Even though her jealousy level was about as high as usual and her obsession for Nate continues, she finds that helping people in need is actually self-satisfying! Her obsession for Audrey Hepburn has lessened considerably as well, which is a complete shock to most of us, I'm sure. Nate is also turning over a new leaf. His permanently stoned days are coming to an end as he meets his new love, a drugged Snow White beauty. Jenny also gets a new friend, who she finds very uncomfortable to be around at times, but in the end, meets the man of her dreams. Dan and Vanessa go through some happy times in the beginning of this book but as the story comes to a close, so does their "love". Vanessa ends with tears but a still growing passion for her art, and Dan rides off into the sunset with a yellow-toothed, practically naked woman of his somewhat morbid poems. And with the last page being turned, the following questions still remain and new questions arise: Will Nate stay in love with his Snow White? Will we ever find out if Blair gets into Yale? Will Serena and Blair remain best friends? Will Serena actually stay with a guy for more than five seconds? Will Jenny and her new man be a long lasting item? Will Vanessa ever forgive Dan for the horrid things he's done? Will Dan continue to live "happily ever after" with this yellow-toothed woman? And the one question that itches most of all... Will we ever find out who Gossip Girl is? Sounds like we'll find out soon enough. And the very ending of the book also makes you wonder if Gossip Girl is the last person we expected her to be...
