Summary: Focused
Review: This book was far more focused than the last in this series, the previous one (All I Want is Everything) being the worst in the series. I would have to say this is so far the best and just miiight top the first one, which I enjoyed so much. This is definetly Blair's book and some things we learn about her are interesting...but there is not so much of Serena. Mostly Blair, Dan & Vanessa, Jenny, and Nate. It showed the characters in reasonable situations, unlike some previous laugable ones. In addition, the author seems to have proofread this one a little more carefully than those in the past. Although this series isn't wildly intellingent (or close), it is highly entertaining and addictive...just like gossip. The characters now have a little more depth and are far more respectable, even when they are at their worst. It's worth the read.

Summary: My Opinion
Review: I have to agree, Gossip Girl is pretty addictive and yes, i will want to read the next one buuuut it's so unrealistic! Serena is my favourite character and her no-stress, carefree attitude about life is great, espically after a depressing chapter with Blair but in the boo, the whole "serena obbsession is annoying". Like walking into a store and having the manager/designer or whatever running up to you exclaiming that your the most beautifullest thing he's ever seen, though he's around supermodels 24/7, and offering you to be in his fashion show, do a perfume ad and giving you his jacket...right off his back is a little bit unreal! I really like Nate though, he's whole deal with the drugs and the Georgia girl was so interesting and different! Jenny and Eliza love affair was pathetic, Blair was a laugh, in a good lighthearted way ofcourse! Dan's yellow-toothed girl was disgusting espically there stage thing, but Vanessa's character really began to unfold in this book, Dan and Vanessa's (more Vanessa's) was a little bit unrealistic too, a filmmaker can not get that reconized and repected so fast!
One other thing I do not understand about these books is that there supposed to be kick ass party-ers that hook up and stay out late all the time, but really, they only hook up with a small group of people (dan-serena,nate-serena,nate-jenny,jenny-eliza,eliza's father-blair,blair-nate,dan-vanessa...getting the picture?) And there really is like one mega party night in each book (fashion shows in this one). they really don't even hook up with anyone just have relaionships because like 40% of the characters are to scared to hook-up, ie.Blair.C'mon, be the wild rich party-people the back of the book says you are people or we might just have to start a canadian gossip-girl!!! joking!
I don't really care you gossip-girl is either, the author probably didn't have one person picked out anyways, I don't even think it will change the storyline once gossip girl is figured out, we'll just read about how beautiful her name is or something.
You know you love me!

Summary: Burning questions left unanswered.
Review: Will Nate and Georgina, his new rehab pal, end up being an item?
Will Jenny and her new man live happily ever after? Will Jenny's new best friend Elise interfere?
Will Blair get into Yale? Will Elise's father ever get the chance to explain why he tried to get with Blair romantically? Will Blair stop loving Nate?
Will Serena continue to be famous, ditzy, and wanted on all the runways?
Will Dan and Mystery Craze, the yellow-toothed and yellow nailed poetess, fall madly, deeply in love?

Will Vanessa, Dan's girlfriend, find out that he hasn't merely been cheating, but CHEATING CHEATING??? Will she survive?
Is Chuck Bass bisexual?
And, the most burning question of them all...
WHO IS GOSSIP GIRL?
All of these questions are left unanswered till book number five. Quite frankly, it's infuriating. What leads to the end is suspenseful and enthralling - you will be so absorbed you'll be unable to put this book down till it's over. Nate ends up caught for his weed smoking and is forced to attend rehab meetings, where he meets a beautiful Snow White lookalike named Georgina Sparks. Blair decides she wants to go to rehab too for her bulimia, yet really wants to be close to Nate again. She sees him with Georgina and her entire plan is thrown off. Not only that, but she finds that a handsome Yale graduate who she senses has feelings for her is the FATHER of one of her younger classmates at Constance Billard. Dan, on the other hand, thinks he is in love with Vanessa until he meets eccentric Mystery Craze and ends up cheating. Clearly, his fame over his poetry has diluded his mind. Jenny meets her admirer and bonds with Elise, her new best friend, over nude figure painting and 'experimentation,' which she deems 'overrated.' Serena lives a carefree, no-worries life, becoming a model and having success practically knock at her door. So much more happens in this book, you'll be dying to read the next so that all of these loose ends can finally be tied together. Recommended age: 13 and up.

Summary: You'll wanna read book #5 after this one...
Review: This book leaves you asking about 10 different questions by the time you've read it cover to cover. No, you won't find out who Gossip Girl is - maybe in book #5, I Like it Like That. All I can say is that the critics are right...you cannot extract yourself from this book - it does have the effect of true gossip itself. You're introduced to new characters, some who are causing trouble. Like Mystery Craze, who Dan cheats on Vanessa w/. Not only does he cheat but he CHEAT CHEATS!!!! GASP! And then there's Elise, Jenny's new friend. And Blair, desperate for admission to Yale, starts a fling with a sexy alumini. Serena bores me a bit - nothing bad seems to happen to her - life seems like a bed of roses. Well, I guess that's how it is w/ all these Manhattanites. I do prefer the predecessors just a little bit. Recommended age: 13 and up

Summary: Definitely "Worth It"
Review: BECAUSE I'M WORTH IT is the fourth book in the Gossip Girl series. The catfights, breakups and shakeups continue.

This book is appropriately titled, not only because of the pop culture reference, but because we see a bit more of the characters one-on-one, without their significant others. For example, Nate attends rehab and manages to go from addict to hero. This is not the same Nate we met in book one. Blair is as love-hungry as ever, falling for an older man, while her best friend Serena dazzles every boy and man in her path. Artsy outsiders Vanessa and Dan continue their pursuits in film and poetry, respectfully, while pining for each other.

As with the previous books in the series, BECAUSE I'M WORTH IT teeters between being coy to being outright racy. High school students and adults alike continue to rave about this series.

Summary: Great read! Makes you want to live their life
Review: Well what can be said about this fab book other than it was great. It wasnt the best gossip girl but still really good. The questions that were left unanswered left a knot in your stomach because you want to no so badly. The book exagerates a little bit about what goes on with these rich east siders and their snobby lives but it almost makes you believe you are one of them or at least want to be. I definetly recommend readin this book as it is a very quick entertaining and gripping book!

Summary: Pretty ******* awesome
Review: So, i realize that most goths/and or punks out there will not enjoy the materialistic aspect of this book, but what they probably will enjoy is the triangle between vanessa, dan, and the stark yellowed teeth poet Mystery. I myself, am a bit of a goth and was unsatisfied with the attitude of Blair, and Serena (what with the shallow nature of the "I love Aaron baby tee"), but its still a very juicy and awseomely guilty pleasure. But i would have to say my favorite turn of events in this installment, would have to be the relationship that is formed with Nate while he's in rehab. He falls for his Snow white pirncess, Georgina Sparks,,,(an od'ed chick, but charming nontheless.) Georgina Sparks has to be my favorite character, and i was happy to see that she and Nate will be together for a bit. (After all,,,of all the characters, she's the one i imagine i look most like...hehe) but thats besides the point, this is a pretty good book to lay on the beach with or just read on a boring day.

Summary: addictive
Review: these books are so addictive! i read them in one sitting (usually becuase i cant tear myself away from them) i suggest if you want to read one, get the other ones because you will want to read those ones too!
i am so pissed that lindsey lohan is playing blair in the gossip girl movie. i just dont see her as that part at all. shes a little too---immature, i guess. i mean shes a good actress but she just doesnt fit the part. i think that someone like samarie armstrong of rachel leigh cook should play her. it will probably be rated like PG even though the books are more PG-13-R.
ANYWAY i really reccommend these books to everyone they are light easy addictive funny and amusing. Have fun!
