Summary: A Cute, Light Read
Review: I finished this book at the crack of dawn (around 5:30 a.m.) because I was so absorbed in the whole Lena/Kostos climax, I just couldin't wait to see how it turnes out!...But, to be honest, I didn't really plan to read the sequel (not that the first one was too bad, but I wasn't overly excited about it...). I almost felt like I was obligated to read this as my mother had gotten it for me for a surprise (*she thought it looked cute*), and I didn't want to hurt her feelings...And, ironically, this book focuses more on mother/daughter relationships, while the first one, parents were pushed aside, and were just sort of there...There was ALOT of drama in this one...Carmen and her mother dating again, Bridget finding out about her mothers past, Tibby facing Bailey's death, and, most notable of all, Lena and Kostos's relationship...Some parts were rather hard to swallow, as with the first one. Bridget was (temporarely) a much different person from the first, Biran played a much more important role, and Lena seemed to be much more (much, MUCH more) open about her feelings toward Kostos...It was also several pages longer than its predecessor, therefore it took a few days later to finish it than TSHOTTP...The seconed to last chapter was un-necessary and just seem to add more bulk to it (which may have been the point...) but it all ended sweetly in the end...Overall, I say if you liked the first one, you'll probably enjoy this one too, maybe even better....

Summary: One of the best books ever!
Review: I loved this book as much as the first. I especially liked learning more about the Brian, and how Brashares mentions the Beethoven Emperor piano concerto, which is such a moving piece of music that goes along with everything so well. I can see Tibby's moving playing in my head. That's another thing I love about this book...I have a perfect mental picture of everything going on, especially the 4 girls. The book has a great ending that wraps it up perfectly. I can see why so many people love this book.

Summary: The Best!!!!
Review: I loved the first book, and I think I almost like this one better!!!!! It is one of the best books I have read. I really like Ann Brashares writtings. You have to read the first book first though in order to understand this one. It was awesome!!

Summary: Entertaining
Review: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood is an engaging, entertaining almost addictive novel that will appeal to young adults, as well as people who haven't seen young adulthood in a long time. I fall into the latter category and I must say, The Second Summer was a fun, delightful novel that I read in one sitting. You should probably read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants first because the stories from that novel continue on in this one. A note to parents--this novel is fairly clean--so if the younger crowd is interested, you should feel comfortable with them reading it. The novel focuses on mother (or mother-figure)-daughter relationships--the secrets mothers keep from the daughters and vice versa, the problems in those relationship, etc. The resolution of all these problems is all positive and believable. Enjoy this one.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: After falling in love with the first book, I was anxiously awaiting the release of the second book. After waiting patiently, I was filled with zeal when I saw the second book on the shelf at the book store. I bought it and read it all through, and quite frankly, all i have to say is that this book sucks. Not only is this book unrealistic, virtually no one can relate to it or the situations that the characters find themselves embellished in. The only story which I found semi-interesting was Bridget's, since it actually had some moral values. Lena's story is so crazy. It is as if Kostos is the only reason she is alive, and that if she doesn't see him at least once a day, she'll curl up and disintegrate. The first book is the only one worth reading in this series.

Summary: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood
Review: I deeply enjoyed the Second Summer of the Sisterhood, by Ann Brashares, although it differed from the first book in the series. The Second Summer of the Sisterhood focuses more on the relationships between the girls and their mothers, and not so much the girls and the pants. I was a bit disappointed that the pants played such a minor role in this book, but I loved getting to know the mothers better. In a way, The Second Summer of the Sisterhood was easier to relate to than the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, because everyone knows what conflict with your mother is like; not everyone shares a magical pair of pants with four friends! Overall, I loved The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, and I hope you do too!

Summary: it was all right
Review: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood was not as good as the first one. I felt like there was something missing, like there was gap in the story. As I was reading it I felt like the author had written this book in a hurry. I would recommend this book to someone who is bored and looking for a way to pass the time but if your not, I would just stick with the first one. That one was much better.

Summary: Awesome Book
Review: This book is one of the best I've read in my entire life. I'm very picky about the books I read, and this one stood the test.

My favorite parts of the story were the ones about Lena and Bridget. I feel like I can relate the most to them.

Lena's problems were intriguing to read about. Here troubles with Kostos, her mom, and her job all had their own interesting qualities.

Bridget jetted off to Alabama to be with her Grandmother, disguised as someone else. Along the way she meets a boy named Billy, whom she had known many years ago and had once been best friends with. She and Billy develope a "very close" friendship.

I recommend this book to everyone. It was so amazing. I read it in one night. It was one of the only times I've ever cried while reading a book.

Summary: Doesn't Disappoint
Review: This book is as good and better than the first one. AFter finishing the first book, I could not wait to find out what happened next to the girls. The second book picked up right where the first one left off with new and exciting adventures for all four girls. It was a laugh-out-loud and cry-ou-loud book. It brought me laughs and tears which is always the best kind of book. It was filled with twists and turns that kept me guessing. This book definately earns five stars and I recommend it to anyone who read and enjoyed the first one. These girls just beg for people to read their lives.

Summary: Delightful!
Review: If you liked the first book, you'll love this one. The story of the girls continue and we see a bit deeper into their mother's relationship. I couldn't put this one down and can't wait to share it with my friends.
