Summary: Also a good book
Review: This book was also a very good one, although, at times, very depressing, make sure you remember "It's just a book!" The bond between the girls is stronger than steal, so it's a good encouragement. This book deals with Young love, sexual desires, breaking up, and death, these two books (books meaning this is the second book, the first is the sisterhood of the traveling pants) are at the top of my lists.

Summary: LOVED IT!!
Review: This book was one of the best I have ever read. It takes the disappointments. The ones you have in the first book and it fills them. In a way it is a bit depressing, but almost the perfect amount. It explains, that no, Bee is not the only one with problems. In fact she seems to be the one who knows how to handle and solve them herself, while the other girls are in need of a little help. Bee heads off to Alabama to find herself in more than one way. Tibby is headed for a colledge based camp with her talent with videos though she has no idea where that will bring her, or into what problems with her conscience. Lena is staying at home, with her job and her denying mind of her love for Kostos. Carmen, is, well Carmen is dealing with her problems, and she's not doing too well. Her Mom dealing with dating, actually pretty well is a big smack in the face. I LOVED it. It is now one of my favorite books, in fact I read it it less than twelve hours. A couple names to keep in mind - Kostos, Billy, Brian, Gilda, Greta, Honey Bees, Marly, David, Porter. If you want to find out who they are, read this book, and tell me it isn't a good one, but it won't matter cause I know its at the top of my favorites list!!

Summary: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood
Review: This book is about Lena, Briget, Tibby, and Carmen's second summer with their magical pants.

This summer, Lena must get over Kostos and learn to accept heartbreak.

Briget goes to Philidelphia to visit her estranged grandmother and renews her love of soccer.

Tibby goes to film college in Virginia and must learn to accept Bailey's death.

Carmen has to get used to her mother dating and falling in love again.

The Second Summer of the Sisterhood is a good book, although its very inappropriate and unrealistic. This book made me hate Kostos. He stinks.

Summary: So Great!
Review: I don't know why so many people were downing on this book? I read the first and absolutely loved it so I figured I'd read the second, and it was just as great! Lena, Tibby, Carmen and Bridget continue on their summer journeys to self- discovery (and destruction). In the end I was still happy for all the characters! There is going to be a third-Isn't there?! This is definitely a must read!

Summary: second one as good as the last
Review: this second installment is as good as, if not better then the last. from the very beginning of the book you feel drawn into the characters lives. the transition from one narrator to the next is smooth. Ann Brashares deals with events in a way that makes you identify with the character(s), and want her to feel like herself again. there is no glossing over of the fact that it takes a long time for emotional scars to heal. the quotes scattered throughout the book, as always, are a wonderful addition to the book and tie together all the parts of the story.

Summary: AMAZING...
Review: I first read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and I absolutely loved it. Now that book was just...spectacular! The second book, The Second Summer of the Sisterhood was amazing, but not quite as good as the first book-but is definitely worth the read. When I started the book, it seemed that it would be worse than the first book, but the plots that each of the characters were in were really interesting. Hope this helps, and remember-read the book!

Summary: CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR
Review: I liked this book, but i didn't think it was as good as the first one. Ann Brashares obviously wanted to ge3t more sophisticated and thus filled page after page of Lena's love life. Carmen's segment shows how mean she really is and is also extremely boring. Tibby's is vaguely interesting, Bridget's is very good, and Lena's is good. Read the first before read the second!

Summary: Better Than Its Prequel!
Review: Just last week I read "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and found that I enjoyed it quite a bit. Eager to read more, I quickly got my hands on the next book in the series, fearing that it would be somewhat of a letdown...but it was even better!

It's their sixteenth summer, and Tibby, Lena, Carmen, and Bridget are off on separate adventures just like before. Closer than sisters, the girls once again divide the magical "traveling pants" (that fit and flatter everyone) between themselves and live out some of their most defining moments in them. Away from home, eccentric Tibby is off to film camp and must decide what friends and character qualities are really important to her and unpredictable Bee goes to Alabama to visit the grandma who's almost a stranger. Despite their lack of exciting summer plans, gorgeous yet introverted Lena mourns her hasty breakup with Greek boyfriend Kostos and fiercely loyal Carmen must deal with her single mother entering the dating scene again.

If anything, the emotions, feelings, thoughts, and personalities of the "sisterhood" are explored even more deeply and fully in this book. After getting an idea of each girl's character in the first installment of the series, readers will now find themselves epathizing more with each character and finding that they are "closer" to them than before. I also felt in this book that Ann Brashares did a better job of making each story equally excellent and unique. Tibby's story was powerful and different, Lena's experience was expertly explored and climaxed superbly, Carmen's dilemma was chronicled with compassion and a satisfying ending, and I found Bee's story much more hopeful and uplifting than the last time around. Rest assured that the "sisterhood's" second summer is in no way inferior to its first...if anything it's filled even more with lessons, life, and love.

Summary: WAH!
Review: alright, i loved book 1. i loved book 2. but KOSTOS. i loved him the most. and this whole situation is so sad... i cried and cried. i sound all obsessive, but it was depressing. :-(

i do recommend this book, but it was ever so sad.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Puh-lease!
Review: I was expecting something different from the its predecessor ,but this plot was nearly the same. This deserves every last bit of the three stars but I don't think that it's quite worthy of four or five stars. It's not as well thought about as the first and it almost seems like Brashares was rushing to get the book finished. I got very annoyed with all of the characters in this book. I found that they were shallow and irritating the whole way through. I know that if she writes a third book to this growing series I will read it, but I hope it's not as dissapointing as this one.
