Summary: Spazzer's Comments
Review: Ann Brashares writes a well-written sequel to the Sisterhood of Traveling Pants, although it is certainly not the best of the best.

This book is not a very humorous novel, but it deals with issues that are more serious. Plus, the Lena and Kostos thing is more maturish and it doesn't turn out what you expect it to be. *hint hint: it's not very obvious*

This book would mainly appeal to the young adult audience, for it has some things that would raise "questions" if it was read to 7-9 year olds. Especially the Lena and Kostos parts.

Summary: The Sisterhood of the TRaveling Pants
Review: Four friends and a magical pair of pants, one summer apart. Tibby,Lena,Bridget and Carmen have known each other since before they were born. At least that's how it seems. They share an inseperable bond, until they get separated over the summer and see what life without each other is really like.

Lena - away in Greece with her Grandparents, Bridget- in California at soccer camp, Carmen- with her dad who is very unpredictable, and Libby- home working at the grocery store. Through this book, you will read the letters they write to each other and get inside each of their heads as they each go through different things.

I could not put this book down. The writing is is great and it kept my intrest the whole time I was reading it. It is in the realistic fiction genre, so it's very easy to relate to and you can find yourself right there with the characters. Girls generally between ten and sixteen would really enjoy this book.

This is also a prequel to The Second Summer of the Sisterhood,so go ahead and enjoy that one too. Ann Brashares does a really great job and I'm sure you will enjoy this one as much as I did!

Summary: A Little Friendship Can Go A Long Way
Review: "Once there was a pair of pants. Just an ordinary pair of jeans, but these pants, the Traveling Pants, went on to do great things. This is the story of the four friends who made it possible."
Do you love a book about friendship? Then, you'll love this book. It is about four trusted friends, Lena, Bridget, Tibby, and Carmen, who have been friends since they were born.
Lena spent her summer in Greecer, where she thinks she found the love of her life. But, when Lena is going skinny-dipping in her "secret spot," was he hiding behind a tree to keep his secret about his feelings for her?
Tibby started her "summer career" at Wallman's for only five cents over minimum wage. Things suddenly switch directions when Bailey Graffman faints right in the middle of the store and Tibby is the only person who cares, because something changed Tibby, and the worst is for Bailey.
Bridget is, should I say, a soccer star. Other wise known as Bee. She has gone to soccer camp for the whole summer in Baja, California...in hopes to reel in that soccer "hunka" on the other side of the field. He was a coach, and as Bridget would say, "He was beautiful."
And finally, there's Carmen, who got a phone call from her dad, to tell her that there is a surprise for her at his house. When she gets there, she is not very excited about what it is- or who.
This book is a "5 star" book about friendship and the course of life for teenage girls.

Summary: Amazing
Review: This book keep me on the edge, wanting to know what happened. Lena has changed and so has Bee. Carmen is still fighing her jealousy streak, and Tibby is still thinking of Bailey. This book was one of the best I have ever read. I laughed, cried, and had the best time reading this book. It shows you a lot about friendship, love, and learning to move on. It is truly one of the best books I have ever read.

Summary: A slower beginning... but a emotional end.
Review: I first read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in 7th grade. Now, a freshman in high school, I still can't put these two books down (nor can my friends who keep borrowing them from me).

I just read The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, and let me tell you, I've never read a better book that I feel so in touch with Lena, Tibby, Bee, and Carmen. I'd give it 100 stars if I could. I admit, the beginning was weird and a little slow, so different than the summer before. But in the last 100 pages or so, it was worth it all. A book has never made me cry, until now. It's truly amazing how the author can wrap you into a blanket of emotions; making you laugh and cry at the same time. And the end, well, it WILL make your jaw drop (especially with Lena and Kostos).

I beg of you. Please read this fascinating book. You will never forget this amazing story for the rest of your life. It'll stick to you.

Happy reading to all, --Jess

Summary: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood
Review: This is a sequel to the first book called The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. This sequel is titled The Second Summer of the Sisterhood written by Ann Brashares. Its there second summer apart from each other but these magical pants bring them together near or far. They rotate the pants around in a circle and every time their done with the pants they write something great that happened to them on the pants. Now I'll give you their names and where they went this summer. Carmen she stays at home this summer, Lena also stays at home but has just received her first paying job, Bridget went on an adventure to go visit her grandmother in Alabama also did I mention it was for the first time. Then the last sister of the group is Tibby she's on a tour of her new campus getting a feel for college life.

Carmen- She has divorced parents and now her mother is seeing someone from her work. Carmen is also very glad because she had her first official date with this guy named Porter.

Lena- Met a Greek boy last summer in Greece she broke things off with him but the question now was did her feelings come rushing back and still in love with Kostos? But her new job is going well at the clothing store.

Bridget- Went to Alabama this summer too finally meet her grandmother. But when they first meet Bridget doesn't tell her the truth she lies about her identity.

Tibby- went to go see what her college looks like so she can get a feel for her new surroundings next year. Also getting ignored by her own parents but has a lot of expensive gifts from them. Tibby feels like they don't care about her anymore.

It was a great heart warming story about four best friends that are apart from each other during the summer but the magical pants keeping them together as much as possible. Although for this book you have to do one thing read the first book The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants before you read The Second Summer of the Sisterhood. Another thing I would recommend is that you be the age of fourteen to forty-four and mostly for girls because these girls are fifteen and most could probably relate to their problems such as being in love, or going on your first date, your first job and many other problems of this sort for a fifteen year old. But even mothers will remember how it was to be that age. My mom and me read both of the Sisterhood summer books and now she understands me more and how I feel about things. So if you feel your mom doesn't understand you try and get them to read both of the Sisterhood books I know it helped me maybe it will help you too.

Summary: Not Exactly A Classic
Review: This story was good for the most part. It was dissapointing in regards to the Lena love life, and Carmen refuses to learn from her mistakes, an essential element to all human life tht Ann Brashares can't seem to comprehend very well, and Libby's character continues to annoy and seem dead and life-less. It does contain a very good Bridget story that I loved, particularly because Bridget seemed to be the only character with actual depth. Buy this if you really want to continue in the adventures, but otherwise, it's not necessary to your survival.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Great Read~As Good as the first!!
Review: If u read the first Sisterhood book and liked it you'll love the 2nd one too! There are new things that the girls are doing this summer. Some of the things that happen between Lena and Kosos may be for a bit older age range of people. This book has romance, fun, and adventure all over again!
