Summary: Awesome! I loved it!
Review: The Second summer of the sisterhood was as good as the one before! Lena, Tibby, Bee and Carmen were supposed to spend the summer together but when Bee finds the letters her grandma Greta Randolph has been sending her for the last five years, the whole summer changes. Bee sets off to Alabama and Tibby goes to a filming camp. Carmen and Lena stay home.
The troubles begin when Carmen's mom finds herself a new boyfriend and Carmen is determined to ruin her fun. Lena finds herself wanting Kostos even more and when they meet... i won't tell you what happens afterwards. Bee wants to find her own self again and Tibby just can't make a movie about Baily cuz she doesn't want to think about it.

I loved Billy! I hope Bee forgot all about Eric cuz Billy is soooo cute!

Summary: Funny and Inspiring.
Review: This is one of my favorite books, and I liked it even better than the first one. Ann B. is a very talented writer, and the world she creates is very believable. I feel like I know Carmen, Tibby, Bee, and Lena, and I missed them when the story was over. This is a must read for any girl over twelve- it will give you some great insights and make you laugh and cry all at once. These books so inspired my friend and I that when I go off to college next year, we will have our own pair of traveling pants!

Summary: book that grabs your attention!
Review: I read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and fell in love with the book. When I finished the book and saw that she had written a sequal, I was a little skeptical. I've read some fantastic books and then read their sequals that completely ruined the first book. This wasn't the case with The second Summer of the Sisterhood.

It picks up the summer after the 4 best friends discovered a pair of pants that fit and flattered all of them, though they all had very different body types.

Carmen is trying to deal with having her mom dating again,
Bee is trying to come to terms with the demons of her past and impulsively goes to Alabama to see the grandmother she hasn't seen since she was a little girl, Tibby attends a film program at a college and tries to deal with Bailey's death, and Lena is trying(unsuccessfully) to get over her Greek love, Kostos.

Though I liked the first one better, this book is still really good. I highly recommend reading it, but only after reading the first one. It's a book about the pains of growing up and being a teen. A must read.

Summary: Excellent book!
Review: As a children's librarian, I read quite a few Young Adult books. I find that many times these books are much better than the mostly sensationalistic drivel offered to adults in recent years. This book (and its predecessor) is a prime example of how supremely talented the authors of young adult fiction can be. Ms. Breshares should write adult fiction, as well as children's, because I don't think enough adults (or young adults, for that matter) read enough quality writing. Whatever she writes, I hope she writes more and more!

Read this book, no matter what your age. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll cry some more, you'll rush through it to see what happens next--then you'll be sorry you did because it ended too quickly. Young women will see themselves and their friends in these characters, older women will remember what it was like when they were young, and all women will realize that no matter what your size, your personality, or your situation in life, we are, ultimately, all sisters.

Summary: the second summer is just as engrossing as the first
Review: With The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, I was delighted to find that entering the world of the four teenage girls of Besthesda, Maryland was just as wonderful the second time as the first. While it starts a bit slow, the plot definitely picks up and gathers momentum as it goes.
All four deal with family issues and pain in this book. The memory of Bailey, Tibby's young friend who was claimed by leukemia in the first book, is painfully present in Tibby's mind as she struggles with her mother, who appears to be absorbed in the world of her two little siblings.
Lena uncovers an unpleasant, hidden secret from her mother's past, and has a passionate- yet tragically short lived- reunion with Kostos, her handsome Greek boyfriend.
Bridget is hardly recognizable in this second summer. After the disastrous event that happened to her in the first book, she quit soccer and dyed her hair brown. To recover her own identity, as well as to reunite with her mother's family, she sets of for Alabama on a life-changing mission.
The only character I was disappointed in was Carmen. Apparently having learned nothing from her mistakes last summer, she nearly ruins her mother's romantic life. However, I think she- like the others- is even more believable and endearing than before! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

Summary: A great sequel
Review: I really enjoyed the first sisterhood book, so i was very excited when i heard about the second book. The story was basically a continuation of the first one. The same girls were in this one; Bridget, Lena, Tibby, and Carmen. This summer the girls are much older and Tibby is off to a film college. Lena and Carmen are home facing many new challeneges.Carmen has to deal with her mothers new boyfriend. Lena is shocked when an old lover comes back into the picture. Bridget is off to her grandmothers to learn more about her mother. My favorite character in this book is Lena, she is the girl i can closely relate to because she is very ordinary and simple. I did really enjoy this book.It was a great follow up to the first one. My favorite part is when all the girls come back together at the end of the summer. I definitly would recommend this book, but only if you have read the first one, if not you won't understand it at all. The person who would most like this book would probably be teenage girls, only because they can easily relate to the girls in this book.

Summary: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood
Review: This book,The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, is definatly worth the time to sit down and read. Just like the first novel of the sequel, you will get caught up in this story of the four friends and their journey's. Ann Brashares tells an amazing story all over again. Tibby, Carmen, Bridget, and Lena all have their share of great adventures in the book, the pants as well. Now that the pants have been filled with the adventure they had last summer, this summer will definatly need a shirt to go with the pants to get the whole summers memories.

Summary: The Second Summer is NOT Second Best
Review: This book is just as good as the first book, if not better. It was way worth the wait and I loved it! I never wanted to set it down and when I was finished I didn't know what to do with myself. This book invokes so many emotions that one second you'll be laughing and the next you'll be in tears. There isn't a dull moment and anyone who read the first book should NOT miss out on the second!

Summary: It's not the first one, but it's just as good
Review: I really enjoyed this book and am currently trying to convince my friend to read it, she has something against sequel books. But this isn't like a lame half-assed sequeal. It's a continuation of the adventure. It ties up some loose ends, explains what happened throughout the year and the girls' histories.
Just read it, if you read the first one you'll like this just as much.

Summary: U NEED TO READ THIS
Review: IF you read the 1st book "The sisterhood of the traveling pants" and enjoyed it. You will also definitley enjoy this book! Its the follow up and all the girls are back for another unforgettable summer.

Ill admit---the beginning (more or less the first couple chapters) its a bit slow and not very engrossing....but as you keep reading it gets better and better....by the last few pages you won't want to put it down.

I think you've read enough plot summarys already...so go on and read the book!!!!!!!!!
