Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: She did it again.I loved the first book and i was counting down the days for me to get my preordered second sisterhood.I Couldnt put it down.It was amazing writing and so true to life you could picture everything. The descriptions were extraordinary and everything came together.I was never confused once.I loved this book and now its one of my all time favorites.
Rating: Summary: The second greatest summer in the world Review: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares is wonderful. This summer, Tibby, Carmen, Bee, and Lena each go their separate ways but only not so far away. Bee travels to Alabama to find her long lost Grandma whom her father sheltered her from. She also is recovering from slight, well, maybe not so slight depression. Lena is grieving over her long lost Kostos in Greece. Carmen is trying to figure out who her mother is this young, flirty 20-year girl, or her old middle age mother. And Tibby drops from the Wallmans staff and goes takes a college film class. She meets new people and is glad she has the friends she does. I love this book because just as the first it keeps you hanging on your seat wanting to know what each character does next. You wonder?...does she love him? Who are really her friends? This book is wonderful; it describes what normal teenage girls go through to grow up. Each of the girls goes through love, laughter, and heartbreak that you can't wait to find out how. The lessons taught in this book can be explained no other way.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: After I read the first book (The sisterhood of the traveling pants) I couldn't wait for the sequel. As soon as I got it I read it in two days and I was not dissapointed. It follows Lena, Bridget(Bee), Carmen and Tibby through their next summer as Bee goes to Alabama to see her grandmother (althought she says she is a girl named Gilda) and to find herself. Tibby goes to film camp and I least enjoyed reading her part which seems a bit boring compared to Lena's tale of an incredably unpredictable story with Kostos. I was shocked when I found out what happens at the end of her and Kostos's story, I cried for the first time from a book reading it. Carmen works to ruin her mother's releationship with a man named David while she starts dating a guy from her school. Carmen's story is a but predictable, but I love it all the same. I absolutly loved this book and I recomend it for anyone who liked or loved the first one!
Rating: Summary: Second Summer, Second Success Review: At first, I didn't know how Brashares could follow up with a book as good as the first Summer of the Sisterhood. But this book was no disappointment! I especially loved Bridget and Lena's stories. Carmen's was great too, but Tibby was a little boring. I would suggest this book to anyone who loved the first one, and defeniately would suggest it to many people!
Rating: Summary: great Review: this book was not the best book i have ever read, but i have read HUNDREDS of books throughout my days, and of course im not an old person. it was quite good, i am not disappoited at all! I think anyone who read the first should definately read the 2nd, but also you might want to read the 1st book before the 2nd! I hope you enjoy it as much as i did!
Rating: Summary: Exceptional Review: This book was amazing. The point of view from the 4 girls was extraordinary. The writing was exceptional and this book was so great i couldnt stop reading it till the end.You will laugh and cry but at the end everything pulls together and it will be wonderful.Everybody has to read this if you like fantastic books!
Rating: Summary: Better than the First Review: Ok, well i am not normally a huge fan of sequils because the author in some way or another ends up messing up an already wonderful story. But suprisingly enough, The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, is just as good or even better then the first!! I really enjoyed this story, and once started you don't want to put it down! The characters are true, and real. Not one of those shallow characters that don't have any meaning. Bee, Carmen, Lena, and Tibby are all just like you, and reading what they have to say makes sense. You can understand the agony, and joys of being a teenager and you can totally relate. I love this book, and many new characters are introduced, while others return for more. I highly reccomend this book!! Once, you start you don't want to put it down. This novel is filled with wise lessons, romance, sadness, happiness, and of course adventure. It's all here, and i really hope you will take the time and read it.
Rating: Summary: SO SO Review: I waited for this book to come out. I bought it the day it came out. Honestly it was nuke warm. I loved the first book. But this book wasn't good. The best part was Tibby being forced to deal with Bailey's death the year before. The worst was the weird love interest story thing with Lena. Read it if your a fan of the first book but don't be disappointed if you don't like it.
Rating: Summary: A perfect sequel Review: I was counting down the days to the release of this new book by Ann Brashares because I fell in love with the first one, and I could not wait for the second. What I love about this book, and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants", is that the four main characters of the story are all very different, but you can find a little piece of yourself, and all your friends in each of them. Throughout this book I laughed, I cried, and I smiled because there are times throughout it when you can say to yourself, "Hey! I do that too!". I just wanted to say that sometimes sequels can really let you down, but this one is just as perfect as the first. After reading these two novels I know that I will always have a place in my heart for Lena, Tibby, Carmen, and Bridget. I have already recommended this book to all my friends, and now want to extend that recommendation to all of you.
Rating: Summary: Second Sisterhood, Just as Good! Review: This book was awesome. It was just as good as the first, if not better. This book is different than the first because the girls are around eachother more, they are not all scattered around the world. You really get to know the characters better and really relate to them. This book is great for any teenage girl, they can learn and relate to their situations. I highly reccomend this and the 1st book of the traveling pants!
