Rating: Summary: A Book that Tells it Like it is for Teens! Review: The second book for teens has something for everyone as it covers more daily adventures and "doings" of the four most different girlfriends which is a great part of its appeal, as typically, teens too, are all different individuals. Lena will stay home missing Kostos, Bridget will go to Alabama to visit her grandmother and Carmen has conflict with her mother. But Libby confronts her desires and feelings at a film camp. There is a personality and character study for every teen girl in this exciting book that is sure to hold attention to the last page. Rating: Summary: Can't Wait For Summer? Review: Ann Brashares became one of my favorite authors after reading the first book, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I felt that there was someone that wrote down on paper the feelings and emotions that me and my friends go through each day. So, when I found out the the second book was out, I rushed to my nearest bookstore and bought it right away. I finished it the first day I got it and felt so emotional after reading it. Because I read the first book, I could tell that Ann Brashares likes to throw curves in her stories, where the unexpected always happened. I liked that too, it keeps we wanting to move on, to read more, to not put the book down! And that is EXACTLY what you get when you read the Second Summer of the Sisterhood, when I found myself becoming as emotional as Tibby, Lena, Carmen, and Bee themselves! What makes the book all the more better is that it can appeal to anyone, teen or adult because it deals with situstions that are real. I believe it is all the more enjoyable as well because even how it is written, its in the same way that I talk to my friends so I feel more into it as it is hard for me to enjoy a book the way I do this one! Therefore, I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking forward to summer coming up and waiting for new adventures of their own!
Rating: Summary: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood Review: As a huge fan of Brashares first novel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, I was delighted to find that The Second Summer of the Sisterhood was just as good, if not better than the first.Once again, we rejoin our favorite girls, Carmen, Tibby, Bridget and Lena as a new summer is before them, with more lessons about friendship, family & life. This summer, Carmen and Lena stay at home, while Bridget unexpectedly heads to Alabama to learn about a grandmother she no longer knows and explore some parts of her mother's past. Lena deals with her long distance relationship with Kostas, which takes some surprising turns and Carmen's relationship with her mom is tested when her mother gets a new boyfriend. Meanwhile, Tibby is off at college orientation and learns about choosing the right friends for the right reasons. As she did in her first story, Brashares sucks the reader in with her lovable and believable characters. Though the novel is classified as young adult, it is something that girls and women of all ages can enjoy and appreciate~
Rating: Summary: Not just YA! Review: The Sisterhood was one of the best books I read last year, and the sequel is no disappointment. I've recommended these two (and given them as gifts) to people who are way past their teen years, and they love them as much as I did. Definitely read the first one first.

Rating: Summary: I want to be in the Sisterhood Review: After I read the first book (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) I said this is definately the best book I have ever read. When I found out that there would be a second book I began to count the days. Believe me the wait was well worth it. The Second Summer of the Sisterhood was just as good if not better. The bond between the friends got even stronger and by the end of the book I felt right in there with them. It was almost like I had made four new friends and gained all of the valuable experiences that one person could not get alone in even four summers. If you have not read the first book you certainly have to start there but believe me it will not be long before you move onto this one.
Rating: Summary: intuitive chirography Review: wow, wow, wow. that is all i can start out with. the second summer of the sisterhood captures every sense of compassion and fortitude in my whole being. i read each one of ann brashare's books in 1 day. a book a day. they were that great. i wasn't expecting any less from the second after reading the first. i knew she would intrigue me immensely with her creative writings. bridget, lena, carmen, and tibby all pulled through in their own 'smells like teen spirit' lives they lived throughout the story. each character had their own individuality in the entire reading and surprised and baffled the reader every 2 or 3 pages. ann brashares strengthens our teenage minds and snares our senses. reading her books makes the teenagers of the world want to break out and do the right thing with themselves. never hold back. do what you need to do. with the help of the magic traveling pants, these four girls capture our minds and hearts with their devious adventures, creative mishaps, and amazing discoveries of themselves, their world and others. if you haven't read the sisterhood books, you can't even imagine what you are missing. ann brashares is the einstein of the teenage, seemingly equanimitious world. READ! READ! READ!
Rating: Summary: Wasn't Disapointed Review: The Second Summer of the Sister Hood is a great book, that almost everyone can relate to. Sequals aren't usually as good as the original stories, but this book didn't let me down. I found Bee's and Lena's stories particulaty juicy, and I too cried after reading the end of Lena's tale. (Most books don't make me cry) I did find my self skimming a bit over Tibby's parts, but that is only because the other girl's troubles are left at such dramatic cliff hangers. I also enjoyed Carmen's story and her struggle with her mom. I thought this was a great book, and I hope Ann Brashares will write another one.
Rating: Summary: Surpasses the First Summer! Review: A summer since the traveling pants did their magic has arrived, and everyone is anxious for their turn with the amazing jeans. Tibby, is going off to a film course at a college in Wilmington, and Bridget springs up with the idea of visiting her Grandmother, Greta, in Alabama. Lena takes up a summer-job while profusely missing her Kostos, and Carmen is getting to be prepared for her Mother's life to drastically change. Though the pants may work their magic, none of the girls are the same. Bridget, who after having her heart-broken the previous summer, lets herself go. She stopps playing soccer, and dyes her namesake yellow hair brown leaving it a muddy color. Carmen who has become more mature since the previous summer, watches her Mother transform into a fourteen year old. Tibby realizes at her film course the difference between people she really cares about, and fake friends. And Lena, catches a say with immense heartbreak and tragedy. Even through all of the hardships and sadness, all of the girls are bound together by their friendship. Though the pants may be a suburban myth, it truly does have a magical effect on every summer. Better than the first novel!
Rating: Summary: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood Review: What a great book! The sequel is either as good or BETTER than the first! I think I loved it more because there is so much more feeling and emotion than I thought there was in the first. I mean, all the characters had such intense and specific emotions! Tibby deals with Bailey's death, Lena deals with her guy problems, Carmen realizes some important things about herself and love, and Bridget finds another mother to love and care for her. This book took me only a day to read because I simply couldn't put it down! It's long, but not too long. To sum my short little review thing up, I would like to say that if you liked the first book at all, I think that you will absolutely LOVE this book! It's exciting and fun to read, although it's not always fun to read. I mean, at the end, when Lena's heart gets broken into tiny little smithereens, I felt like my heart was doing that! I couldn't bare it! So, to really make it clear, READ THIS AWESOME BOOK!
