Summary: Friends Are Always There For You
Review: Have you ever read a book that made you feel like someone actually understood how you feel and what you are going through in your life? Have you read a book that made you feel like you could do anything that you put your mind too? The book, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, answered both these questions for me! This book was truly amazing, just after reading one page I was hooked! I remember staying up many of nights reading late because I had to find out what was going to happen next. This book was that suspenseful!
I have to say the thing that drew me into the book the most was how such different characters became such great friends! These four girls named Tibby, Lena, Carmen, and Bridget, have been best friends ever since there mothers were pregnant with them, because there mothers were in an aerobic class together. These girls all go to different schools and only get to see each other during the summers, but for their 14th summer together they all were split up. I thought this conflict for four teenage girls was brilliant, because it is very devastating not having your best friends to be with you during the summer when you are a teenager!
These four different girls were the best of friends but were many miles apart from each other, but somehow they all were connected. They were connected by a pair of ordinary looking blue jeans. Its appearance might look ordinary, but they weren't. They were magical! Those blue jeans gave courage, determination, and strength to the beholder of the jeans, and throughout the whole summer the jeans were passed from friend to friend to give them the love they needed. The jeans were a way to keep a part of each other close to there hearts, and this allowed them to able to keep their relationships close together! I was deeply moved by this story, and I was so moved that I was even inspired to start this type of trend with my close group of friends!
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a wonderful and creative story! Every moment in this story I could relate too and understand. Some moments it made me laugh out loud, and some moments it made me want to cry my heart out. This book will hit your mind and heart so hard that you will remember it forever! I highly recommend you read this book, because I guarantee that you will absolutely love it!

Summary: If it's the only thing on your shelf...
Review: In all honesty, this book is lame. If it's the only thing on your shelf and you have some extra time, go ahead and read it. You might find a smile or two in your. But really, it's unrealistic and a bit of a bore. It's just a very simple novel about cliche topics. What are the odds of one pair of pants fitting so many girls of different body types anyways?

Maybe if I had read the book when I was 11 or 12, I would have liked it more.

Summary: realistic
Review: Ann Brashares' The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants is a very inspirational book. She creates four very realistic lifelong friends: the beautiful Lena, sporty Bridget, the rebel Tibby, and timid Carmen. Carmen buys a pair of jeans from a retail shop and comes to find out they are magical. This is the first summer all four girls were apart. Lena went to Greece and fell in love; Bridget went to soccer camp in Baja, California; Tibby was home by herself making friends with a girl with leukemia; and Carmen went to South Carolina to visit her dad. They passed the pants around to each person as a way to share their vacation with one another. Every time they passed the pants around they passed a letter too. This book is very realistic and shows the meaning of real friendship. I would highly recommend this book.

Summary: Hilarious Book Full of Laughter!
Review: This book is about four girls named Tibby, Carmen, Bridget, and Lena. The four girls are going away for the summer, and think it will be weird since it's the first time they have ever been away from each other. Before they leave the girls discover one pair of pants that fit each of them perfectly. The four friends decide to let each of them have the pants for one week over the summer. Many exciting experiences happen to them while the pants travel all over the world.
I liked many things about this book. First of all, I liked how close the four friends were because they reminded me of my friends and me. I also thought it was funny, and a good book. Being able to relate to the characters helped me enjoy the book even more. Finally, I like how the book was written, and thought the plot was well thought of.
Even though, I enjoyed the majority of the book, there are some things I didn't like about The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I didn't like in the middle of chapters they would change characters who were talking. I also didn't like what happened at the end of the book to Tibby, Lena, and Bridget.
In conclusion, I thought this was a very good and funny book. If you enjoy reading those kinds of books; then this book is defiantly for you.

Summary: Brave, spirited and meaningful
Review: To my fellow Dads-of-daughters (and Moms, too), do read this book. It's a superior novel made unforgettable by what it will mean to you as a parent. You'll love and admire these girls, and you'll remember something of what their world is like. If I were a boy again, I wish somebody would hand me "Traveling Pants" and say, "You like girls and want to understand them? Read this!" Ann Brashares' writing is vivid and economical, like all the best novelists', and the unforced variety among her four protagonists assembles itself into a powerful whole. In my own daughter's life, this novel is meaningful precisely because of Brashares' skill at showing the heady joys and dangers of a blossoming emotional life. Without preaching! It's also just a top-notch story, and the sequel (which you will want to read) is even better.

Summary: SISTERHOOD
Review: This book was very different from any book I have read before. It is about four girls who have formed a tight friendship since birth...also known as "The Septembers." Lena, Tibby, Carmen, and Bridget are spending their first summer away from one another in 15 years. Lena is going away to Greece with her younger sister to visit their grandparents. While there she discovers the boy of her dreams; Kostos. Tibby is staying home and working while she meets a 12-year-old girl that she becomes friends with that is dying of Leukemia. Carmen is off to South Carolina to visit her dad where she shockingly discovers hers and his new family and life. Finally Bridget, she spends her summer in Baja, California in soccer camp, flirty as she is she meets an older consular that she just has to hang out with. Before their summer begins they find a pair of pants that Carmen decided to buy at a used clothing store. They each try on the pants and discover their magic, they look wonderful on whomever wears them. They make rules for these pants, such as never to wash them, and then are off on their separate ways for the summer. They mail the pants to one another and keep in touch via email and letters throughout the summer and wear the pants as their interesting stories develop separately.
I really enjoyed this book but felt frustrated when I wanted to continue reading about one girl and then it was switched to another. I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys stories about friendship or teenagers and love. It was a quick read and kept your interest. Also there is a sequal, The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, that is about their following summer.

Summary: Wow, what an amazing book!
Review: I read both the books within a span of abut 3 days, honsetly and I don't read very often. Bridgett's life, I thought was by far the most interesting, I would love another book about Bridgett and Eric, that was the most intence part of the book, and I loved it. I was so disapointed when I found out the the second book wasn't including Eric, but it was great too! I just keep awaiting a third book, and then a forth, they're wonderful! Please, if you want a good book, you have to read this. With so much suspence I was almost wetting my pants! Seriously, the best book I've EVER read!
