Summary: The BESTEST book ever!!!!!
Review: I am a seventh grade girl from Burlingame, California. A lot of the girls in my grade have read this book and enjoyed it as much as I did. One day while I was in the school library I picked up a copy of this book, which was lying on the couch. I checked it out and began to read. Once I started I could not put it down!!
This book tells about a pair of magical blue jeans and the summer they spend with their four owners. The owners of these pants are four high school girls who live in Washington DC. Their names are Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen. All four of them are spending their summer vacations in different places, so the pants have to be air-mailed to each of them.
The pants begin with Lena who is visiting her grandparents in Greece. While there they spark an amazing chain of events. Next they are given to Tibby, who stays at home all summer working a summer job at Wallmans and putting together her documentary of her hometown. There she meets an 12 year-old girl named Bailey who is ill with Lukemia. Next the pants are mailed to Carmen who is staying in South Carolina, visiting her dad. The pants witness the transformation of Carmen to the evil stepsister, while her summer doesn't go as planned. Last they are in the hands of Bridget. She is at a soccer camp in Baja California and is falling for Eric, one of the soccer coaches. The pants bring her luck at all her soccer games, but can they help her spark a realationship with Eric????? To find out more about these corky girls and their traveling pants make sure to read "The Sisterhood of the Travling Pants" and if you like that one try the sequal, "The Second Summer of the Sisterhood".
I think that this is definatley a teenage girl book for ages 12&up!

Review: i loved this book, sooo much. its about 4 girls who have to split up over the summer, and haven't been away from eachother much eversince before they were born concidering their mothers were all best friends as well, at that time. While they are all on their own adventures, they all relise how they always can depend on eachother, but somtimes you need to solve your problems on your own. As you read this book you will fall in love with the characters and feel as if you're in the story yourself. i give this book 5 stars.

Summary: gud book
Review: this was a great book! I really liked how it was so realistic, funny, sad, and exciting. It over whelmed me sometimes though because so much was going on at once. However, i loved it all the same. This book is pure beauty and I don't know how anyone could think it was bad or disappointing. It is a book even moms could read and love!

Summary: Could'nt put the book down!
Review: Wow, this is a great book that I couldn't put down. I can't imagine how you can think it's not appropriate for 12-year-olds. I'm a 11-year-old and I totally understand it. The only sexual content has is that Bridget thinks that it would be nice to have sex with this boy. No intimate details about it or anything. The people that are saying it's inappropriate are those overprotective parents who theink their children shouldn't be exposed to the real world. God, if they think this is bad, I'd like to see what they think about "Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret?" BOTTOM LINE: AWESOME BOOK!!!

Summary: Best book I've ever read!

Summary: My favorite book; The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Review: "Can you make yourself love? Can you make yourself be loved?" This is a frequently asked question in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. They ask this question to family, friends, and boys that they meet on their 15th summer.
In The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, 4 best friends are spending their 1st summer apart from eachother. They find a pair of pants and even though they all have totally different bodies, they all fit into the same pair of pants. They promise themselves that over their long summer apart, they will send the pants along with letters, back and forth to eachother.
The main charactors are Carmen, Lena, Tibby, and Bridget. They are all 15 and have been best friends ever since they were young. Tibby is left at home for the summer with nothing to do but work at Wallman's Grocery Store. Lena goes to Greece with her sister to visit her grandparents. Bridget goes to soccer camp in Mexico and falls in love with a coach/ counselor. And last but least, Carmen goes to her dad's house in South Carolina and finds out that he is getting remarried.
One memorable scene in the book is when Lena's grandpa gets in a fistfight with another grandpa. It is kind of sad though because he fights against one of his best friends and Lena feels like it was all her fault. However, she doesn't know how to tell her grandparents the truth.
I loved this book. It taught me that everyone has ups and downs. The downs you have to deal with and the ups you cherish and appreciate. I strongly recommend this book for any girl or women as young as 10.

Summary: Cool
Review: Four girls, four best friends, seperate for the summer. The book switches from girl to girl describing their experiances. Tibby encounters a friendship with a young girl, that she won't ever forget about. She gets her first job, and lives with riding just a bike around. Bridget, the boy crazy teenager manages to fall in love at a all girls soccer camp. She crushes over the droolworthy counsular. Lena finds herself in a different country with her grandparents who only speek greek. She thinks Koskos is spying on her, but who knows? And lastly, Carmen, with her not so american look goes to visit her dad to find he's got another wife, and two different kids. She has to experiance living with another family of blonde hair blue eyed people, and live through the wedding.

Cute book, I just couldn't believe the girls were 16. It sounded as if they were 14 at the max. The whole idea of the pants was kind of stupid. I believe the book could of done without the pants, but it's still cute, a quick read!

Summary: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Review: I think that this would be a great book for young teens, mostly girls. This is a good book because it tells about the struggles of being a teen girl and how they all cope with it together. This book shows a good life lesson for teen girls. It would also be a source for young men to see how young woman think and what they go through.
For that reason, it would be a good book for teachers to use in the classroom. If i enjoyed it, i think other students will too. This was a lit circle book for me and class and suprisingly, there were several boys in my class that decided to read it too. Only because our teacher said that it would explain a little about girls, but that also proves my point about how young men can learn about girls from this book.
Who might be interested in reading this book are girls who think that people dont understand them. This book helped me understand somethings so it might help you too. This book is also for the girl who would like to know how other girls think. Boys who'd like to know more about girls would also be of interest to this book.
If you chose to read this book, i hope you enjoy it even more than i did. I enjoyed it so much, that i decided to ready the second one, The Second Summer of the Sisterhood. If you enjoy the first book, i would definitely recommend the second book.

Summary: There are better books out there...
Review: Honestly, I felt like this book and it's sequel were not very interesting at all. There were parts that were really great of course, but by the end of the second book I was very, very bored. I would recommend reading Sloppy Firsts and Second Helpings by Megan McCafferty. I have read both books several times and they never get old!
