Rating: Summary: Couldn't Put Down Review: I purchased this book for my daughter and she read the book in one night! She laughed, smiled and was so intrigued by this book she kept stopping to tell me what was happening. Upon finishing this book she went directly on the web to see if the author had written any other novels. She found out that this was the authors first novel and will keep checking for more new releases!
Rating: Summary: Awesome....Just Awesome Review: This book has a great drama theme to it. Sorta. It made me cry... because it's packed full of emoitions each girl is feeling. The book has awesome quotes too that relate to each new chapter. Very interesting an intriguing to read. I highly reccomend it.
Rating: Summary: A great girl book Review: In a light, fun-to-read fashion, Ann Brashares tells a delightful story of 4 girls who are apart for their first summer ever. They each are different and set out to have the summer of their lives and all because of a pair of jeans. These jeans are found at a thrift store and fit each girl perfectly, even though all 4 are different in size and weight, and makes them feel beautiful. They agree to send the jeans back and forth to each other and each are wearing the jeans when something important happens to them. A great book to read on a summer afternoon.
Rating: Summary: Can't Wait 4 the Sequel Review: In the beginning, the reader is introduced to four girls, Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen. They are close friends who discover magical pants that fit them all, and make each one of them feel great. They decide to share them, and send them to one another during the summer, which, for once, they spend apart. I, myself, was intrested mainly by the stories of Lena and Bridget, but the stories were touching(mostly Tibby's) and I LOVED this book, overall. I can't wait for the second one:)
Rating: Summary: This book was soooo funny!!!! Review: I loved this book! I couldn't stop reading it. She knows how to write and write she does. It was SO hilarious! There's this one part where Lena is skinny dipping and the guy who her grandmother is trying to set her up with sees her. She gets all mad, hurries to get her clothes back on (which end up going on all backwards and inside out), and stomps off home. She gets home and says, "Kostos is not a nice boy!" which leads her grandma to think that Kostos tried to have sex with her. Her grandma tells her grandpa who goes over and starts beating up Kostos' grandpa and all the while Lena is feeling terrible! That's one of the funniest parts! I kept feeling like I should read parts of this book to other people because it was just that funny.
Rating: Summary: The best book of 2001!!! Review: I usually race through books I love, but this one was SO GOOD that I read it as slowly as possible so it wouldn't end. It was amazing!!!!! This is definatly the best book of 2001. ( I read over 30 books from 2001 because I am a newberry reader). I reccomend this to everyone, though girls may enjoy it more. THE BEST BOOK OF 2001!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A Nice Story About High School Girls Review: This book made me laugh and cry. It's about 4 girls in the summer before their junior year in high school. They are all apart for the summer and use the pants as a way to stay in touch, kind of like a symbol of their friendship. If you remember having 4 best friends and all the times you shared or if you currently are in high school and can relate to this, you will love this book. It didn't turn out the way that I foresaw and was very entertaining. It only took me 2 days to read it. This would be a great gift for a girl 12-16 years old who likes to read. Or maybe one of your best friends from high school that you want to get something for so that she can "remember when".
Rating: Summary: Great book for teens! Review: I personally loved this book. It is about four girls who find a pair of magic pants that fit them all even though are different sizes. The girls decide to trade off with them over the summer. Lena, Tibby, Carmen, and Bridget all go to different spots all over the world, Greece, stays at home, at her dad's, and a soccer camp the girls write to each other over the summer. Fun, sad, and sexy all in one book.Couldn't put it down! I just wish there were a sequel to The Sisterhood Of the Traveling Pants!
Rating: Summary: Please read this book! Review: This is a great book! I read it in 4 days and I'm reading it again right now. The thing that I liked the most about this book was that you get to know all the characters so well! I could tell you something about each person-- Lena-super creative and artistic; definately hates being set up! Briget-awsome at soccer;people love her hair; sometimes acts before she thinks. Tibby-rebel; cares for her friends; sometimes has an attitude. Carmen-loves her friends; the one that keeps the friends together; doesn't like change. Every time I read about the characters I can almost picture what they would look like in my head! This would make an excellent movie! The only thing that I didn't like so much was that they did a lot of swearing but the author definately made up for it! You should definately read this book because you wont be able to put it down!
