Review: When I picked up The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, I was expecting a light-hearted fun read about the trials & tribulations of being a teen-aged girl. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is all of these things, but surprisingly more. This story of 4 best friends, who spend their first summer apart from each other if full of depth and life. Meet Carmen, Tibby, Bridget and Lena, all the best of friends, but each a unique and distinct character with their own set of strengths and weaknesses. Your "summer" will be spent with Carmen, learning how to cope with a divorced mom and dad and the issues that a split family faces. With Tibby, you will learn through adorable Bailey, how it isn't the years you've been on this earth that make you wise, but what you do with the time you've been given, and how to treasue what is truly of value. Run along with Bridget, the athlete and soccer star, who has to discover who she is without the presence of a mom. And finally, experience Greece with Lena, who learns something about what our heritages mean about ourselves and a taste at first and true loves. What binds these friends through out the summer is this shared pair of magical blue jeans that look perfect on each one of them, despite their different body shapes & sizes. But at the end of the summer, you'll see that what binds these girls is far more than a pair of traveling pants.

Review: "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" was the BEST book that I ever read. I thought it looked kind of interesting so I checked it out of the library and am I glad that I did! I suggest that anyone in their teens should read it!

Review: This was a great book. It's about 4 girls (Tibby, Carmen, Lena, and Bridget) and they are the best of friends. This summer, instead of spending it together, they go their separate ways to different parts of the world. Lena is going to Greece with her grandmother and grandfather. Bridget is going to a soccer camp. Tibby, who feels sorry for herself, is stuck at home. Carmen is going to visit her father. Before they leave they find a pair of "Magical" pants. These pants fit all four girls perfectly and any girl would know that it's really hard to find a pair of pants that will fit you and 3 of your best friends perfectly, it just doesn't happen. They decided to send the pants to each other during the summer and when they come together at the end of the summer, they would write down what they did on them.
This story has everything. Ann Brashares did a great job on this book.

Review: I am 27 years old, and was worried that this book would be more geared towards younger girls. I was pleasantly surprised!! I enjoyed it very much and I could still relate to the young girls in the storyline. I couldn't put it down and read it in two days.

Review: A magical pair of pants symbolizes love and friendship for best friends, Lena, Tibby, Bridget and Carmen. This same pair of pants fits each different girl, perfectly. The girls make up rules to govern the use of the Traveling Pants. The pants travel among the girls on their first summer apart from each other. Each girl has experiences that allow her to learn something new about herself.
This first novel by author Ann Brashares is fun and enjoyable. The story includes letters written by the girls. A variety of quotations are used between the chapters, like, "Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday." Anonymous.
Read the story of the Traveling Pants and you will laugh and cry with Lena, Tibby, Bridget and Carmen.

Summary: Magic Pants!
Review: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is about four friends,Lena,Bridget,Carmon, and Tibby. This is going to be their first summer they haven't spent together. Lena is going to Greece to visit her grandparents,Bridget is going to Baja,California for a soccer camp, Carmon is going to spend some quality time with her dad,and Tibby is staying home and working at the local drugstore. They find what they think are magicle pants. They decide to mail them to each other during the summer in order to keep in touch. With these pants all four friends experience different adventures. While in Greece Lena has to meet her grandparents whom she has never met. She also has to deal with her grandma who is trying to set her up with a local boy. During soccer camp Bridget develops a crush on one of the trainers. She expresses her feelings to him only to find them not returned. Carmon experiences a big surprise when she finds out her dad is getting re-married. She was expecting to spend time with just her and her dad but know she has to share it with his soon to be new family. Tibby,while working at her local drugstore becomes very good friends with a twelve year old girl who is badling a deadly disease. During this time she learns to always look on the positive side of things. With all these stories they have something to share to each other when the summer comes to an end.
I think The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was an excellent book. The author,Anne Brashares uses great characterization. She makes the characters all come to life, the problems they face are problems that normal teenagers face. The characters are also very real. There are many themes in this book,such as friendship,divorce and death. Ann discusses each one of these issues very acurately. Friendship is the most reacurring theme in this book. It is their first summer to be apart and even though they are away from each other they know that as friends they will always be there for each other.

Review: I am a very busy person with sports and homework, and do not usually have much time to read, but I finished this book in 2 days. An extremely good, true to life, funny, exhilerating book, that in parts really tugs on your heart strings. It put some things in a perspective that other books don't, and it was refreshing to read something like this. I really think that all girls should read it. I loved this book immensely and hope that the author writes another book like this one.
