Summary: The truth behind the pants
Review: The Sisterhood of the Trveling Pants is not realy about the pants. It's about what goes on around them. Sure the book starts off a bit slow, with four friends being separated for the summer, but the most curious adventures imediately occor around them. There is something in this book for everyone. Bridget has a wild and thrilling romance, Carmen explores the consequences of divorced parents, Tibby meets an incredible girl whose only fear is time, and Lena has the most exciting adventure in a foreighn country when she finds herself wishing for her pants more than anything. This book will have you laughing, crying, and pleading for more as these wonderful girls experience the greatest summer of their lives.

Summary: Shallow and Stupid
Review: I was shocked to see that this book garnered so many positive reviews! Being a persistent person, I hate to start a book and not finish it, but let me tell you, I really considered giving up on this book. I tried to get into it, I really did, but it's hard to like a book in which the characters are so...annoying! I loathed Bridget and Tibby, but I found Carmen, at times, refreshing (although somewhat stereotypical). The story was trite and predictible, a tale of adolescent discovery and growth that has been told many times and in much better ways. In conclusion, I do NOT recommend this book to anyone that wants complex, original, likable characters and a refreshing story.

Summary: Never Heard of Traveling Pants
Review: Traveling Pants...not the thing you really expect to hear, right? These pants carry 4 girls from no luck to bad luck to good luck. Ann Brashares creates 4 characters, Bridget, Lena, Carmen, and Tibby, who meet many people who completely change their lives. Suprised and glad, their lives become full-filled and much more exciting. Read this book to find what happened to Bridget, Lena, Carmen, and Tibby!

Summary: Awesome Opossom
Review: I think this book is one of the best books I've ever read...even though I haven't read that many. Ever since I've read this book I have started reading more. I like the way she wrote it and how it was sorta like a journal-diary type thing...those are the best kind of books to read. I hope she writes some more like this.

Summary: I couldn't put it down!
Review: As I opened this book, something magical happened. Well it's no surprise because this book is about a pair of magical pants and a magical friendship that four girls share. Once opened, the book is practically impossible to put down. Ann Brashares does a wonderful job of pulling you into these four girls lives, she makes you feel like the fifth friend. I bought this book for two of my students and plan on buying it for two of my friends. It's not only a wonderful book for teenage girls but for those of us who still have a bit of that teen girl inside us! BUY IT YOU'LL LOVE IT!!

Summary: This book rocks!
Review: I love this book. At first, it's kinda confusing, but then you get really into the characters. My favorite was Carmen, she had such a temper! By the end of the book you'll want at least a hundred more pages to read. It's funny, exciting, and sad, and once you start you wont be able to put it down! The quotes in this book made me laugh out loud. Buy this book, you'll love it.

Summary: A good read about best friends
Review: when i bought this book i immediately started to read it, and didn't stop until i was done. it is a great portrayal of how teenage girls act; how we sometimes are briming with confidence and sometimes just want to be told that we're loved. the book made me wish that i had three best friends like that, and i'm going to make all of my friends read the book. the sisterhood of traveling pants is simply a wonderful book about growing up and how even though your life changes, your best friends will always be there for you. it is one of the best stories about friendship and "coming of age" that i have read in a long time.

Summary: Wonderfully Written
Review: The Sisterhood is a great story. You get wrapped up in it and can't put it down. I find most books like this cheesy, but this one was so great, that I believe all girls aged 10-25 should read it. It's a great story of friendship and love, and I just fell in love with it. My favorite part was when Lena told Kostos... that made me cry. Everything about this book is great, and it should a) have a sequal written and b) be made into a movie. Keep up the good work Anne!

Summary: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Review: The novel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a fun and adventurouse book for just about any teenage girl. It's about four girls who are best friends, going out on their own the whole summer. This story about friendship, love, and trust will keep you reading and wondering about what will happen next.

The four girls in the story have very differing personalities and life styles. You won't have a problem finding a character who you can relate to. Lena is a somewhat shy, but very beautiful girl who thinks very modestly of herself. She has a very happy, loving family and is visiting her grandparents with her sister in Greece. There she finds out that her grand parents plan to match her up with the neighbor's very handsome grandson. Tibby is a wanna-be film maker who is working at Wallmans Grocery Store for the summer. She meets a younger girl with leukemia who is a pest at first but soon becomes her best friend. Bridgett, the most outgoing of the group, is a star soccer player who is going away to soccer camp for the summer. She sees the young, very good looking coach of one of the teams and sets her mind to win him. Carmen, the last of the girls, is a heavy set hispanic girl whose parents are divorced. She is going to her dads home over the summer expecting to have him all to herself, unaware of his new fiancee. The girls find these old pants that somhow fit and complement all of their different shapes and sizes. They promise to send the pants to one another throughout the summer untill they meet again. Each girl has their own story about the summer. Will the pants make the summer better or worse?

I loved this book! I couldn't put it down, I just had to find out what was going to happen next. Sometimes I didn't want to read about some of the characters because their lives weren't as interesting to me as others, but I really loved the whole book. I would recommend it to any teenage girl who likes to read.
