Rating: Summary: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Review: I absolutely loved this book! It's the type of book you can read three times without getting tired of it. I think it would make a great movie. I think this not only because i'd love to play Carmen, but because the characters are so real. I think the auditions for the movie (should there be one), should be advertised on tv or something and held in local areas so that everyday girls who aren't neccessarily actresses could try out for the part she most related to. Ann Brashares did a great job on this book, and i think girls who relate to her characters or their personalities should get a chance to live the wonder of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
Rating: Summary: This is a great book! Review: Just an ordinary pair of pants? I think not! When 4 friends have to spend their first summer apart, they aren't sure what to think. They all know that they'll have fun, but want to keep in touch. That's when they find this "magic" pair of pants that flatter all of their figures, even though they have completely different body types. They head off for the summer and keep in touch by sending the pants to each other. They write letters to one another to tell of their strange happenings with the pants. At the end of the summer, they all head back home and tell all the great details of the past summer. This is a great book you should definitely check out!

I was so engrossed in it, I wanted to keep reading and reading until I was finished but now i want to read it again! If you are considering buying this book, buy it, it is totally worth every penny. I absolutely loved this book and have nothing bad to say about it. It is sad, funny, engrossing, sweet, has romance and self-discovery. Everything good all in one book! :) It's neat too because you can read it over and over and never get sick of it. I actually believe this is my new favorite book. I truly enjoyed it and hope that if you too read it you will also.
Rating: Summary: I Couldn't Put It Down! Review: This book was a real page turner. I could barely put it down! It's about four girls who are best friends. They have a pair of magical traveling pants that fit each of them (though they're different sizes) perfectly! Carmen is going to spend her summer with her dad. But things turn out quite differently than she expected and things get interesting. Bridget takes the pants with her to a soccer camp where she meets the love of her life. But things get a little out of hand and Bridget has new experiences she has to face. Lena is in Greece for the summer with her grandparents where they try to set her up with Kostos ( a very cute Greece boy.) But when a misunderstanding turns into a huge deal Lena must choose what to do. Last but not least, Tibby gets stuck staying at home and working at a grocery store all summer long. She's convinced she'll have the worst summer ever until she meets some people who are unforgettable. It's a summer she'll remeber for teh rest of her life. This book is great! It's a must read! WIth many surprises and adventures you won't be able to put it down!
Rating: Summary: A two thumbs up book! Review: This book is so awesome! It goes through the lives of four very different best friends and a pair of pants that were found at a thrift shop. The four believe that the pants are "magical" and they decide to send them to each other throughout the summer. First theres Lena. The prettiest one of all her friends. She is sick of guys always just caring about her looks. She is fully convinced that guys are all shallow. Then we have Tibby, the rebel of the group. She has to try to get through summer all by herself at home. There's also Bridget. The die hard athlete. While she's away at a sports camp she becomes very intersted in a coundelor at her camp and she has to figure out how to deal with her emotions. And last but not least there's Carmen. Carmen is in Baja California visiting her step dad. She thinks everything is going to be great until she finds out tha he is engaged and now has two step kids. This book is wonderful and I really think that it should be read by all pre-teens and teens. It is great. Ann Brashares is a great writer and I hope she comes out with a another book soon.
Rating: Summary: Very Fun and Enjoyable Review: I really enjoyed this book, and i think it was because I could relate to all of the characters in at least one way. It was easy reading, not at all challenging, but it was very fun, and enjoyable. I wasn't able to put the book down, and when I finished, I was disappointed because I didn't want it to end. I would recommend this book mostly to teenage girls, but I think that an adult would enjoy it also.
Rating: Summary: UNBELIEVIBLE!!!! Review: ... this book was incredible. the best book that i've ever read. it talks about all the things girls my age (12-14) are going through now. if you r in that age group GO OUT AND BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: An amazing selection Review: This was a great book. From start to finish, it kept me turning the pages. I finished the book in three hours, it was so good. I think it's a great book for teens everywhere. A book about friendship and love, everyone I know enjoyed it.
Rating: Summary: True Friendship Review: The name is a little goofy, and I will admit that I was a little hesitant to read it after receiving it for Christmas. But reading it definatly wasn't a let down! In fact, after finishing it I opened it up to the first page and read again, and again, and again. This story is the perfect addition to any teenager's collection. It shows that no matter how different your lives are, how dramastically different your experiences are, your friends are your friends no matter what. I can't wait for the sequel!
Rating: Summary: This book is great... if you are a 13 year old teenage girl! Review: I received this book as a Christmas present from a friend of mine. She knows what a bookworm I am, and was sure that I would love this book. Well, I read the first chapter and thought to myself "you've got to be kidding me." As a college student, it wasn't exactly the great literature I usually read. But, since it was a present and did come with a remarkable recommendation, I took the hour it takes to read it, and still wasn't that enthralled. My conclusion is this: The book is great, if you are under 15 years old. It's cute, I'll give it that, but it is nothing special. And it's not because it's a teen/ young adult book either... I've read some absolutely amazing young adult books, and this one just doesn't compare. So, if you're around the age of 13, this book is great. Knock yourself out! But if you are anywhere over the age 15 or so, I wouldn't bother. It's nothing remarkable, and the plot is mediocre, at best! I mean, magic pants??? Come on! Go read some Harry Potter if you are looking for young adult magic. The sad thing is, to think that my friend absolutely adored this book really makes me wonder what other great pieces of literature she has read.
