Summary: A mother's viewpoint - not appropriate for young teens
Review: The book is recommended for 12+, but one of the 15 year old girls has casual sex and is thrilled about it. This is not what I want my 12 year old reading. While I see the books merits for older girls, I don't think that parents of younger teens know the content.

Summary: Humorous and Fast
Review: I realize this book was written for an audience of teenage girls, but I am 20 years old and found it to be very entertaining.. almost reminded me of the Judy Blume books I read as a child. I found myself caring for the well being of the characters, and I can't wait to read the sequel. Would definitely recommend for a light, breezy read.

Summary: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Review: In this story there are four girls that are going their separate ways for the summer. The girls have never been apart for the summer. They either go to the same camp or something like that. Lena goes to Greece for the summer to see her grandparents. Carmen goes to South Carolina to see her dad. Bridget went to Baja, California for soccer camp. Tibby stayed home in Washington. D.C. If you like to read a different setting book, and by that I mean if you like to have the setting changing in the book than this is a book for you . You will also enjoy this book if you like the author being very discribtive and you want to know everythng straight out then here is the book for you.

Summary: This was a Great Book
Review: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares entertained me as I read the novel. I thoroughly enjoyed how I could relate easily to the characters in the novel. It tells about how four lifelong friends that are teenage girls, Lena, Carmen, Tibby, and Bridget, spend their first summer apart from each other. I am a twelve-year-old girl and the book really showed me that a lot of girls around my age think like me. It really helped me understand how the characters felt and how their actions reflected their ideas as I read the story. I the book made a huge impact on how I felt about my friends. I now appreciate them more and treat them better because I know that they really care about me. I also loved the book because it is very interesting the way that they switch off between characters in the middle of the chapter right at cliffhangers. I think that any girl from age ten to even twenty-five will appreciate this book and love it.

Summary: Amazing Teen Novel
Review: "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" is a novel about four girls (Tibby, Carmen, Bridget, and Lena), and the first summer that they spend apart from each other. But there's a twist.

The day before all of them separate for the summer, the girls each try on the same pair of pants, only to find that that pair of pants fits all of them perfectly, and makes them all look great, despite their physical differences. The girls make a pact that they will send the pants, which were picked up at a thrift store, to one another over the course of the entire summer. So each of them has a chance to experience the magic.

Brashares created four girls who were nothing alike, and brought them all together with the help of the pants. Readers will find it easy to relate to one, or all, of the characters. I found that I related the most to Tibby, because while she is at times cynical, and judges people to quickly, she has a very kind heart.

Overall, this is an EXCELLENT book, that I found myself unable to put down. I'd say that this book is for people 13 & over. Teenage girls will find this book easy to relate to, and feel a kinship with the four characters.<...

Summary: Anna's Review on an Amazing Book
Review: THE SISTERHOOD OH THE TRAVELING PANTS is an awesome and realistic novel that all teen girls can relate to. It is a story about how for best friends survive their first summer apart and how "the magical" pants unite them through it all.The book reveals what true love is and what true friends are. I loved this book. The characters seemed so real! I would recommend this book to all teenage girls. I am so excited about reading the sequel! I don't want to give away everything, but I do want you to treat yourself to this amazing novel!

Summary: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Review: I am doing this book review on The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It is by Ann Brashares. I would call this book Realistic-fiction. The setting changes throughout the book. There are four main characters, Tibby, Bridget, Lena, and Carmen. The book is based on the four best friends separating for the first time during the summer. They go through many changes, and meet new people. They make new friends also. They also stay close to each other, by sending the pants, that suspiciously fit them, to all different places. There are also rules about these pants.
This book was one of my favorite books. It dealed with a lot of problems that I could go through everyday. I recommend any teenagers to read this excellent, exciting book.

Summary: A Fun Book!
Review: I read this book for a journal at school. It was so entertaining! The story is about 4 friends and a "magical" pair of jeans. The book is about Carmen, Bridget, Tibby, and Lena's first summer apart in 16 years. This book was very easy to read. Ann Brashares is a very good author. She skips back and forth between the plotlines, so it holds your intrest. I'm glad I chose to read this book, and I would reccomend it to anyone who enjoys a story about friendship.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Written by Ann Brashares

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a fantastic novel written by Ann Brashares. This book is about four very close girls who experience their first summer apart. Without each other their life seems to go haywire. There is a pair of pants that fit each girl all though they are all totally different sizes. They record all the experiences they have on these pants. I absolutely loved this book because I love Ann Brashares style of writing. Brashares writes form the point of view of each of the four girls. With an unexpected ending I recommend this book to girls ages 12-16 and feel sure that any who read it will love it. I am definitely going to read The Second Summer of Sisterhood, the sequel to the first book, and hope that the sequel will be as good as the first.
