Rating: Summary: Awesome book! Review: This book was terrific, I read it in 2 days and immediatly looked for the second book. It follows 4 friends during their first summer apart. The characterization was very good, the girls had enough flaws and troubles to seem real, but were also great people that you could relate to at the same time. I loved the book! If you are a teen girl, this is a must read!
Rating: Summary: Friendship goes a long way! Review: "Once there was a pair of pants. Just an ordinary pair of jeans, but these pants, the Traveling Pants, went on to do great things. This is the story of four friends who made it possible." Do you love a book about friendship? Then, you'll love this book! It is about four trusted friends, Lena, Bridget, Tibby, and Carmen, who have been friends since they were born. Lena spent her summer in Greece, where she thinks she found the love of her life, Kostos. But, when Lena is going skinny-dipping in her "secret" spot, was he hiding behind a tree to keep his secret about his feelings for her? Tibby started her "summer career" at Wallman's for only five cents over minimum wage. Things suddenly switch directions when Bailey Graffman faints right in the middle of the store and Tibby is the only person who cares, because something changed Libby, and the worst is for Bailey. Bridget is a soccer star. Other wise known as Bee. She has gone to soccer camp for the whole summer in Baja California...In hopes to reel in that soccer "hunka" coach on the other side of the field. Yes, he was a coach, but as Bridget would say, "He was BEAUTIFUL!" And finally, there's Carmen, who got a phone call from her dad, to tell her that there is a surprise for her at his house. When she gets there, she is not very excited about what it is- or who. YOu will be thrilled to know The Second Summer of the Sisterhood is the sequel to this girl-natured book. These two books are both about friendship and the course of life for teen-age girls. -LBS-
Rating: Summary: Girl Power! Review: Four friends, Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen, have been friends since the beginning and want to stay that way until the end. But, when one dreaded summer comes and separates them, the only thing holding them together is the magical Traveling Pants. Beautiful Lena is going to Greece to visit her grandparents. Bridget is going to an ultimate soccer camp in California. Carmen wants to have her divorced father all to herself in South Carolina. Lastly, Tibby will be left at home to work for minimum wage at Wallman's. Can the magical Pants hold their friendship together? This book is most definitely a "girl book". I'm sure any guy that attempted to read this book would either throw it away or fall asleep. It basically is about the bonds of friendship that hold the four girls together in their adventures. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a one-time read book; you'll enjoy it, but quickly forget it.

Rating: Summary: The Magic of Pants-and Friendship Review: Four girls are about to embark on one of their most magical summers yet. Lena, Tibby, Bee, and Carmen; all best friends since before they were born; are about to spend their first summer apart. Although Lena will be in Greece, Bee in Baja California, and Carmen at her dad's, (Tibby is at home), a pair of pants that fits each of their different body types perfectly will keep them together. As they learn to live and love without eachother, their summers shape them into new people. Tibby meets Bailey, a sassy 12 year old who seems to know more about life than she ever will. Bee is at soccer camp and falls for an amazing guy-who works at the camp. Carmen is visiting her dad, but is about to discover his whole new life without Carmen. Lena is meeting her grandparents for the first time, and a handsome stranger named Kostos. As these girls stuggle to be without eachother, they also struggle to be with themselves, and look into their hearts to see who they truly are. But that's just the magic of the pants and a summer together and apart.

Rating: Summary: Definitely a Winner Review: A sweet story about friendship, triumphs & defeats, the story involves four friends who are preparing to go separate ways for the first time during their summer vacation. Artistic, shy Lena flies to Greece to be with relatives; loving Carmen is looking forward to spending time with her father; athletic, impulsive Bridget is going to soccer camp, and punk rawk Tibby is staying home and working on her "suckumentary" about her lame hometown. In order to feel their bond during the weeks away from each other, the girls initiate the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. This involves a pair of magic (?) jeans and a timeline in which each girl gets to own the pants for so long, & pass them on to the next girl. At summer's end, their time in the pants will be recorded. Each girl has her ups and downs during the summer (topics such as death, remarriage, love, & first-time sex are covered), but through the power of the pants, they are reminded that they are loved by their far-away friends. The pants are magic because they give the girls courage. A Great book! I also recommend 2 other books: Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty, The Loser's Club by Richard Perez
Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ever Review: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is the best book I have ever read. I don't read very much but books like this one will keep your face plastered to the pages. It has a lot of details and ideas that we as teenagers can relate to and that makes the book a lot easier to understand. This book will make you laugh and in some parts make you cry in other parts and this makes it interesting to read as well. I haven' found a book to compare to to this one. I think that every teenage girl should read this book because it is just one darn good book.
Rating: Summary: This was a good book! Review: Overall, I thought The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was a great book to teach children that no matter if you have friends or don't have friends, you must always have a positive attitude and that is what will reward you with a good outcome. This book was very descriptive and it gives you a good perspective of how challenging life may be without your friends. I think people who enjoy having their friends around and spending time with them and are sad when their friends aren't there should read this book. Each character has a special trait that they might or might not like, just like me. To me Lena was a good character in the book because she knew of some traits that she liked and didn't like. She is also a very kind person and I think that is a great trait to have. I think every girl in that book has realized that life isn't so bad without your friends and that someone is always there who cares.
Rating: Summary: A Great book you Won't want to Put Down!! Review: I loved the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and its sequel. It was so easy to get into the book and I seriously had trouble putting it down! It also inspired my friends and I to start our own sort of sisterhood...it's great! A serious must read!
