Rating: Summary: The Outsiders, The best book ever written Review: The Outsiders is the best book I've ever read. I've read it eight times and seen the movie twenty-three times. It is a very emotional book. I feel sorry for the greasers because they are good people but everyone looks on the outside and judges them. The characters portray that it is very hard to live on that side of the tracks. I would love for everyone to read it so they can understand that just because people don't have the best clothes or don't have as much money it doesn't mean the people are bad.
Rating: Summary: Ok book...not great Review: This book is really fine..only, it ended in a kind of a stupid way. It is good but not better than "That was then this is now". And the title also doesnt have to do anything with the book. So its not perfect, but its aight. -alian
Rating: Summary: AWESOME BOOK!!!! Review: I have just finished reading this book in school and our whole class loved it!! I highly recommend this book for young people. IT IS A GREAT ONE!!!
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC,WONDERFUL TOUCHING STORY Review: THIS STORY WAS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE READ. WHEN YOU READ ABOUT HOW THINGS LIKE THIS ARE IN SOME PLACES IT MAKES YOU OPEN YOU EYES TO HOW SOME THING ARE IN THE REAL WORLD. THIS BOOK HAS SHOWN ME HOW SOME PEOPLE STEREO TYPE EACH OTHER AND HOW PEOPLE CAN TREAT ONE ANOTHER. I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN! IT WAS A REAL WONDERFUL STORY AND I AM GLAD THIS BOOK WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION BY ONE OF MY TEACHERS. I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS BOOK AT LEAST ONE TIME, AND IM SURE THEY WILL WANT TO READ IT AGAIN AND AGAIN!
Rating: Summary: To everyone who hates this book Review: I'd just like to say something to all of the people who said they hated this book. Many of you complain that it is childish. I don't know if you know this or not, but S.E. Hinton wrote this book when she was 16. I'd like to see you write something this good at 16. Also, you said it was unrealistic. I've never read a book more realistic than this. If you think that killing and gangs are unrealistic then you certainly live in a sheltered world.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I have read this book 3 times,it never gets old!!This is my favorite book!!!It is a realistic story that made me cry.EVERYONE should read this book!!Ponyboy is deep and sensitive, unlike the others. This book is tremendously good!!
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've ever read Review: The Outsiders definitely falls into the ten best books I've ever read. I laughed, I cried, I really did. Everyone should read this book it gives insight to everyone about the trials teens face and how stereotypes affect everyone. Definitely read this book you wont be able to put it down.:)
Rating: Summary: This is one of the crappiest books I've ever read!!! Review: this book has no plot and it doesn't interest me one bit. these greaser guys are all phsychos with long sideburns. This book is way too violent and it sometimes makes you sick.S.E. hinton is not very good at describing the characters and the setting, obviously. i would definitely not recommend this book to anyone.
Rating: Summary: I loved it Review: I really thought that this book really goes in to gang wars even though this book was wrote before the gangs started to show up like really bad.I think that S.E Hinton did a very fine job on writing this book and deserves a well desserved round of applouse for this!!!
Rating: Summary: A young-adult book that's fun for adults too! Review: Even though this book is clearly written for young adults, I didn't read it until after I graduated from college. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately introduced it to my eighth grade English class, and they loved it. Since then, I've read it with my classes almost every year, and I haven't gotten tired of it yet.
