Summary: This book teaches so much if you take the time to read it.
Review: i have read the book 4 times now and everytime i comprehend the different aspects of the characters just a little better than the time before. life is rough all over, this statement is true at any time, any place. pride and respect are all anybody wants and it is not easy to forget that after reading this book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The must be read book of any generation!
Review: I first read this book in junior high in reading class. The movie is the best but the book is even better and more detailed. The characters really show support for each other and even though it was wrote in the 50's it still can relate to the 90's and shows how families do stick together.

Summary: This Book is Truely Fantastic!
Review: I read this Book in School, and I must say, this is one of the BEST WRITTEN Books in History. I enjoyed every minute of it, and I was always upset that I had to go home from school, and not be able to finish it. I will soon finish it now however!

Summary: "Paul Newman and a Ride Home...."
Review: I was amazed by how many reviews this book was given. I had to read it in high school and I loved it! It shows that youcan't judge a book by its cover and you can't judge a character strictly from the outside (no pun intended!).

The "greasers" and the "socs" are both just normal people, as the reader will soon find out. It's just that the "greasers" have less money and are judged as inferior by the "socs".

Summary: A very down to earth review of life at that time, and now
Review: I loved it , it was just what i was looking for in a book. It didn't have any of that fantasy crap it was like a true story somthing you could realy beleave . I loved the characters and the way they were introduced into the story. all i can say is S E Hinton if your reading this PLEASE keep writing

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I can really relate to the book.
Review: I am a young adult and I know the pressure of friends, fights, and fitting in. I think this book is a little out of our time, being that it was written in the 1950's, but there is, and supposedly will always be two enemies that are a lot diffrent outside, a little diffrent on the inside, but you'd be suprised at how much they have in common.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys adventure.
Review: This is one of the best books i've ever read. It's a quick read that keeps you to the end. The way the characters are displayed makes you feel like you are in the book with them going through rumbles, movie theaters, running from the fuzz (cops), and being jumped by the Socs. It's a great book with suspense and great andventure. If you know of any other books by S.E. Hinton that are great like this one, please e-mail me.

Summary: Ok...
Review: This book was ok but thats it. Maybe I have to be older to appreciate but i doubt it. I'll stick with books Like "To Kill A Mockingbird" and "A Christmas Carol".

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: still my all time favorite...
Review: I was about twelve when my dad handed me his copy of The Outsiders, he'd had since high school. I had seen the movie on T.V(and every one knows books are better)So I gave it a read and I understood this split style of teenage life because of situations in my own hometown. Ponyboy and Dallas Winston are two characters who became real in my mind. Im almost eight-teen now, and the other day I got the book out again, and I can still finish it in one afternoon...To older readers who still enjoy this style I recommend Jim Carroll, author of The Basketball Diaries.
