Summary: From an Outsider
Review: I first read this book fifteen years ago, and I still love it. The Outsiders is so real and touches so many issues that people who are "outsiders" can relate, as well as those who aren't.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Outsiders
Review: I thought that this book was GREAT. It was very easy to relate to, even though I don't have the problems Ponyboy does, because Susan Hinton describes everything so well. My 8th Grade English Class read it and half of us cried at the end!

Summary: The Outsiders
Review: The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, gives the reader the life long fact that no matter what kind of person you are, you can still make a difference. I truly loved this book mainly, because of this fact, and that it is well developed and beautifully written.

Summary: Gangs and Cliques
Review: This was a book I had to read in High School. Though I wan't an avid reader, I loved it! Probably because it reminded me of the rivalry between the "jocks" and the "freaks" in my own High School.

The narrator is Ponyboy, sensitive with a tough exterior. Since his parents are deceased, he and his laid-back older brother Soda are taken care of Darrel the eldest, who's a bossy perfectionist (really only worried that he might lose his baby brothers). There's Johnny Cade, whose family life is insufferable. There's Dallas Winston, mean and gruff (but has a soft spot for Johnny). And then there are the Soc's, the spoiled kids who like to pick on the greasers for fun (the "fun" runs out when their buddy is killed). And let's not forget Cherry Valence, who though dating a Soc has a heart and a mind all her own.

While Pony and Johnny hide out after the murder, with Dallas coming to their aid and rescue, the 3 "greasers" temporarily clean the slate of all stereotypes and somehow wind up as heroes! If you're wondering how these events occur, go read the story! You won't be disappointed!

Summary: The Outsiders, the best book in the world
Review: Ponyboy and his gang are greasers, which means the lower class kind of people. Their rivals are the socs, which means the socials or upper class kind of people. Many exciting events happen encouraging you to read more. In the end the two rival gangs learn to cope with each other. I read the book 16 times and I strongly believe that this is the best book ever! I think that kids my age, 12, would really enjoy this!

Summary: Super review
Review: The book "The Outsiders" is one of the best books I have ever read. Your head stays in the book and you never want to put it down. Some parts in the book may surprise you--some surprised me. Some other reasons I like the book are that the action stays with you from beginning to end. Also, the main character, Pony Boy is great. S.E. Hinton wrote a good book and you should try it out.

Summary: Get real!
Review: The Outsiders was written by a teenager, can you believe it? And tell me just how can a teenager manage to create a whole book alone? I found this extremely boring. The beginning was quite interesting and I thought, 'oh, I've finally found a good book'. But towards the third chapter is started to drag me down a bit and the plot wasn't very clear. Then the end is just such a screw-up. I mean, it looks like S.E Hinton didn't have time to finish writing and just scribbled any old thing down. No offence meant to any readers who enjoyed the book!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I liked the book
