Summary: A Very Exciting & Enjoyable Read
Review: I used this book as part of my 7th grade Language Arts class. The story is exciting and entertaining. My students enjoyed the book especially during read alouds. The story also provides ample opportunities for writing topics, prediction, question & answer, and art. I follow up the book with the video/DVD The Odyssey with Armand Asanti but edit parts out. I obtained the Kurt Douglas version and will be comparing them. This is a must for any classroom library. Enjoy!

Summary: this book sucks
Review: Im too old to read this book. I had to read it for my 12th grade english honors class for a side project. Some of it was ok but most of it was really boring and immature. This guy Ulysses and his men ran from all the monsters when they were suppost to be these great war heroes. I think they werent very brave running all the time. If i was them i would have atleast tried to fight and kill the monsters. I would not recommend this book to anyone my age or under 12. The old literature bored me to death that i didnt want to read anymore of it.i feel bad for anyone who has to read it. (...)save your time and dont read this.

Summary: WORST BOOK I'VE EVER READ
Review: it was just bland and boring, thats all, the plot was ok, but not worth reading. the only reason i'd buy is so that i could use it for scrap paper, or maybe for oragami. otehr than that, its honestly useless.

Summary: Its Awesome baby!!!!!!!!
Review: My favorite parts were when he put the glowing spike into the Cyclopes eye and it blinded him, and when Ulysses climbed up the Cannibals leg after 3 of his men did not return. Our teacher is requiring us to read this book, for grades 6-8. I am presently beginning to read the last chapter, The Return. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Exiting,provoking,adventurous,a great read!
Review: The "Adventures of Ulysses" was a great book with plenty of adventure. Ulysses was a smart, clever, and sly man. A perfect character for an adventure story. Remember the Trojan Horse? That was him! No lie! He was away from home for more than 11 years because he got punished by Greek Gods. But the only bad part was the return to home. There was plenty of action and excitement. But we don't want to give too much away. (MY LOBBY FOR A SEQUEL! ) Besides, we have the best English teacher ever, and she explained it great!

Summary: This book had a great ending - good beginning
Review: The Adventure of Ulysses was a very enjoyable book. It combined mystery and enchantness. Although I liked it, it was very difficult to follow. Sometimes I had to read a sentence or two more than once to understand it. The most exciting part was Ulysses' return home. He was faced with suitors and an archery contest. You shoould read this book if you enjoy andventure, mystery, and fiction. These are reasons why The Adventures of Ulysses is a good book.

Summary: A wonderful and exciting excursion
Review: The adventures of Ulysses is a excellent book. It was fun, exciting and filled with irony. It always keeps you wondering what is going to happen, and keeps you at the egde of your chair. There was no best part of the story, the whole adventure was thrilling. He was faced with many challanges and was able to over come them all! For examle when Ulysses was in the cave with the Cyclops he was very clever; he tricked the Cyclops and got him drunk by drinking unwatered wine. Then he stabbed him in his one and only eye, which left him blinded and Ulysses escaped the cave by the help of rams. Ulysses was faced with many enemys, Poseidon was his greatest. Poseidon put a curse on Ulysses which made his voyage home very difficult. Like Circe said, Ulysses was sly like a fox; he got home to Ithaca in "the Return."

Summary: I found this book breathtaking
Review: The Adventures of Ulysses was a page turner. One of my favorite parts of the story is when Ulysses and his men get trapped in the land of the Lotus Eaters. In Lotus Land there are magical flowers that make you sleep. Ulysses men are so hungry an greedy that they don't take into consideration what might happen to them. Another exciting part of this story is when Circe changes Ulysses' men into pigs. She made porridge for his men and they were so hungry that they just kept eating like pigs. The Adventures of Ulysses was a great book and I recommend it to everyone!

Summary: An adventurous and exciting book
Review: The book "The Adventures of Ulysses" was a very entertaining book about a man named Ulysses. Ulysses who was the the king of Ithaca, went on a journey to take over the city Troy. On their way back from the city they got thrown off course. That was just the beginning of their 20 year adventure. The book was a break from the usual class assignments to read boring books and short stories. It was very exiting and entertaining.
