Rating: Summary: Very Good! Review: After school, I flipped through the book order I received from one of my teachers at school. I saw the book, The Adventures of Ulysses, and I said to myself, "You like mythology. Get it." Also I noticed that Bernard Evslin was the author. I read his other book, Hercules, and I enjoyed it. This is how I came to read this book. This book is about a leader of the Greek army. He was in the war and they beat and conquered Troy. Now he was on his way back to Ithaca where his wife, Penelope lived and waited for him to return... My favorite part is the ending...I do not want to spoil it for you so read this book!
Rating: Summary: Homer for All Ages Review: I bought this book to read to and teach myths to my special education students. The prologue alone is worth the price of the book. It summarizes all of the twists and turns of the Iliad in just a few pages. The writing of each chapter is dramatic and vivid. All ages can enjoy all the trials and tribulations that have fed imaginations for so many thousands of years.
Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ever Review: I had to read Ulysses in class. I thought this was going to be a boring book, but it wasn't. It told me the story about him. I couldn't wait to read the next chapter the next day. I learned alot from reading this book. I highly recommend this book.

THEY LAUGH WHEN POLYPHEMUS CAN'T SEE AND CHEER ULYSSES ON WHEN HE CONFRONTS PENELOPE'S SUITORS! I HIGH RECOMMEND IT. IT GOES NICELY WITH OUR SOCIAL STUDIES CURRICULUM ON ANCIENT GREECE. I GUARANTEE YOUR STUDENTS WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
Rating: Summary: This Book is Interesting Review: I have read The Adventures of Ulysses and I think it is a great book. It has much action in it, like sailing past monsters, and using the wind to get Ulysses and his men home. The book is full of interesting and unique monsters that all do many different things. The one bad part about the book is that there are many hard names to pronounce. If you're too lazy to get the book and read it yourself, at least get the book on tape. The narrorator isn't annoying or weird. This book is good for anyone who enjoys books about battles and fights between men, monsters, and ancient greek gods. Buy this book, you'll make someone very, very wealthy and they might need the money. Please, buy this book I will be happy. :)

Rating: Summary: Full of action Review: I started this book a few days after reading a re-telling of the Trojan war, which was written by the same author as the adventures of ulysses. This book was just as good!!!!! I Think that Bernard Evslin did a great job re-telling the story of the odyssey. 5 STARS!!!!
Rating: Summary: great book Review: I think that this was one of the best books that i have ever read. I am the authors grandson and i am not just saying this. There is never a boring part to the book. Every page has something new to it and its easy to read.
Rating: Summary: Adventurous, Something new on every page. Review: I thought this was a wonderful book. If you are interested in mythology, this is an exellent book to read. It is based on the classic "Odyssey", but retold in a format suitable for young adults. Every chapter contains a new, exciting adventure. Some of these include stories about Calypso, Circe, and Syclla & Charybdis. It is not hard to get in to, as the adventure starts on the very first page. So, if you are interested in mythology, give "The Adventures of Ulysses", a try!!
