Rating: Summary: Good Book, but slow. Review: The Wave is a book about how adolescents can be influenced into doing the wrong thing just to be accepted. This book is enjoyable, easy-to-read story. Since it was a true story, it was intriguing to see how this group of teenagers got influenced by a teacher who made them follow nazi-like orders. As you read the first couple of pages, you realize how disrupting this whole idea was. It keeps you hooked right from the start because the plot is extremely unpredictable. Even though the book was about to end, it was not possible to know for sure what was going to happen. Overall, this is a good novel that is fun and exciting to read. Throughout this novel there were things that our group didn't like. The idea of The Wave was a hard concept to digest and we think that the author should have expanded more on the idea of something drastic could spread out in a normal high school. We believe that the author didn't write enough about the characters for the readers to get acquainted with them from the start. If we knew more about them, it would be easier for us to relate to them and actually begin to experience what they were feeling. We also felt like the book was slow at times, and then too fast at others. It got slow because the characters would repeat themselves often. Since the plot was progressing too quickly, the author didn't have enough time to be narrative about the surroundings. In conclusion, we would recommend this book to anybody because it was a good book that was interesting and shocking even though it was a bit slow at times.

Rating: Summary: The Wave Review: I think that the Wave is a good book .The writer mr. Morton Rhue thrilled me.He has chosen a very interesting subject.I am not a big fan of reading books but his book is really catchy. It is the way he describes the characters and the environment, especially when the book is based on a true story, then it is often a good book. This experiment did not happen a long time ago and that makes the readers more attachaed to the book.I highly recommend this book to youngsters because the story happend to youngsters.
Rating: Summary: It was worth the time it took to read it. Review: It was a good book and since it was based on a real story it was chilling to read that something like that could happen again. The story builds upp in a perfect way and as you make your way through the last pages it is purley fantasic. The only complaint I have is that it was a bit too short for a book-worm like me.
Rating: Summary: I think this is a pretty good book! Review: As far as I've read the book I like it. It has got a thrilling story and you don't really want to put it down and stop reading, because you want to kwow what happens next. The Wave has got some hard words but it's still easy to understand. One thing that I don't like about the book is that it does not describe the main characters of the book.
Rating: Summary: Everyone should read this book!! Review: As an english teacher in an "alternative education" high school, I noticed how all the students seemed to fall into clicks, more so than in a traditional high school. I thought that this book might be helpful in showing the students the harm of conformity. I used it in my senior novels class, and the response was increadable. Before long I had under-class students coming to borrow a copy. Everyone can get something useful from reading this.
Rating: Summary: The Wave Review: "The Wave" was an interesting book. Because it's a true story. The only disadvantage in the book is that it's boring in the first couple of chapters. it's about some teenagers in a school. Their teacher starts a movement called "The Wave". The so Called Wave gets out of hand. The movement started after they saw a movie about "The world war two". Some of the students were touched by the movie. Laurie didn't like "The Wave", and she tries to stop it. Every one was against her, even her best friends and her boyfriend. By: Robert Hols (Sweden)
Rating: Summary: My own oppinion about the Wave Review: I think the wave was very good, because it was about the nazism. And the reader learns that the nazism is no good. The book was also very good because the story real happen in the reality. The student in the book really became nazism after a while. The student dint learn that the nazism really was badly. David diden't either like so much his girl friend because he had become a bad guy. But after everything become better, because the teacher explain to the student about nazism. And they realise that is was real bad to become a nazism. The book was really good.
Rating: Summary: A really great book!! Review: I think the book is really good. It's a great story and when you start reading, you don't want to stop. In the beginnng you wonder how so many pople could be so blind. But after couple of chapters you see that they can't control it. I really think the end was good. You didn't know how it was ending until the last pages and you really want to read more.
Rating: Summary: My opinion about The Wave Review: I think that the story was strange. Because how could the students join the movement so fast, only a couple of days and they took over school. The book was a litle slow sometimes and very interesting the next moment. Another strange thing is that, how could Ben Ross end the experiment so fast. The book showed an example of how a few people could scare so many. The meaning with the book is to get people to questioning and criticize.
