Summary: Okay, for what it does
Review: as the previous PR PREPs, it's a well-looking and interesting book.
it has 7 SAT model tests, 3 inside the book, and the others are in the CD which attached in that book.
i love that disc, you may take the model tests with your PC, and you may soon get the score after finishing it....it's cool
but it's not enough for preparing SAT i think, you may need more about particular sections you don't know well....

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: good for final review

Summary: Good book but ...
Review: Got the book last week.Have reviewed it extensively.Seems to be quite good but they use a contreversial method, eliminating the answers that seem correct on difficult questions. Also the text is quite large and lots of empty space .The book is not as large as it looks.. . But still a good book. Also buy 10 reals SAT's and Barrons.

Summary: I bought it!
Review: I have bought this book and all it teaches you is how the system of the SAT works its only useful for SAT test only. When i first bought it i though it was kind of like to study for the SAT.But the techniques are wonderful, no question about that.A really good book for improving your scores though.

Summary: Good but not enough~
Review: it's cool to have a book such as Cracking SAT, ok, the 7 tests inside are really useful~
especially the computer based ones inside, they're easy to use, and you can soon get the score after you finish the test....

but i think that is a book for you to review the WHOLE SAT before the test..and of course, with 10 REAL...
if you think you are not confident with math or verbal, and you want to practice more about some particular parts of the SAT, buy other stuffs such as XX verbal or math workbook.....

Review: The Princeton Review's approach to test preparation is to guide you in psyching out the testers. Their statistics show that their approach is successful in improving test scores, and with the emphasis given to SAT scores, that isn't so bad. But for my own part, I'd rather do well on a test because I've got a good understanding of the material being tested.

Note that the Princeton Review strategies work only for the paper SAT. They don't work at all if you're taking the computer version.

Summary: Thank You, Princeton Review!
Review: This is the one book I could not have done without on the SAT. I noticed that a lot of people criticized it for the techniques it uses, but it does teach you a lot about the material tested on the SAT and it gives you myriads of helpful tips.

It is not intended to be funny. The authors do not try to help readers along with jokes and suchlike. They deliver their information in a no-nonsense, concise fashion that may not be good for people who grow bored easily or for those who do not enjoy working. I found it very interesting, but I am considered by many to be unusual regarding my tastes in extracurricular activities.

Something that I found particularly helpful about the book was the included CD with practice tests. Taking one of these helped me see what parts of the SAT I was having trouble with.

The techniques WORK. They really do. They give you a better understanding of the material that the SAT tests and of how the SAT is created, and of what it actually tests. (Vocabulary, some reading comprehension, first-year algebra and geometry. I found this to be true when taking the test.) In only three weeks of studying for one hour a night, I was able to raise my scores from a 480 verbal and a 440 math to a 750 verbal and a 650 math (for a total of 1400) on the final test. I am thirteen and in junior high. I took it for applications to a Johns Hopkins CTY summer program and a high school scholarship.

I would really recommend this book along with 10 Real SATs (which I used only for the tests) to anyone taking the SAT. The amount of help that it gave me was phenomenal, and I am sure that I would not have done nearly as well without it. So thank you, Princeton Review!
