Summary: Tears of a Tiger: A story of Death and Depression
Review: Tears of a Tiger, a novel by Sharon M. Draper, is an excellent choice for both teenagers and adults alike. The book is about four friends, Andy, Rob, B.J., and Tyrone have a beer in celebration of a major basketball victory. Andy begins to drive to his friend Kiesha's house, even though he is drunk. Without seeing it until the last second, Andy slams his compact Cheverlet Chevette into a wall, making the car burst into flames. Andy, B.J., and Tyrone escape from the car with minor injuries, but Rob is trapped inside the vehicle. Andy, B.J., and Rob try helplessly to rescue their friend, but the gas tank explodes, forcing the flames in the car to change from a small internal fire to a blazing inferno.
B.J. and Tyrone learn to deal with the tradgedy, but Andy is not able to recover easily. The remainder of the story is how Andy deals with the accident, even if that means hurting himself both mentally and phisically. I reccommend this book to all teenagers and adults because it discusses today's real-life issues that are applicable to everyone, especially teenagers. Also, the book is written from different people's perspectives, so you understand what the main characters are thinking. The novel explains that teenagers want the responsibilites of adults and think that they are immortal and nothing bad can ever happen to them.

Summary: Tear Jerker for all Ages!
Review: Reluctantly opening the first few pages of this book, I feared that I would not be able to relate to this book. However, I was pulled into the first chapter, and unable to focus on anything else in my life until I finished the book. Even though this is not a very long book, I have never been so indulged and intrigued by a book. Sharon Draper does an excellent job of allowing readers of all types to relate to the strong emotions of the characters in the book. I first read this book in eight grade, and now as sophomore in college, I still have not found another book that has moved me as much as "Tears of a Tiger." Everyone should read this book at least once, and see for yourself how wonderful and emotionally revealing it is.

Review: Personally I think that you should try out this book. It is the kind of book where either you will love it or you will hate it. It is a book about a young man who makes the wrong decision with a couple of friends one night and ends up killing his best freind Robbie. I will not give away the plot (hehe) because I have not yet finished it for class yet ,but I will later inform you if the book keeps its constant intesity!

Summary: Tears from my English class.
Review: When my 8th grade Language Arts teacher told us that we were reading this book at the beginning of the year, we were all mumbling and grumbling.
But the unique style of story-telling of this book, and the gripping ending, made us really think and like it. It seemed so much to be as a true story.
It's very coming-of-age; having someone killed in a drunk driving car crash, being depressed and in high school are some of the things that most high schoolers have to deal with these days.
When this book ended, some of my classmates were crying. It's just that good, so I recommend you to read this book. It might just change your life and make you think in a different light.

Summary: Tears of a Tiger
Review: I thought that this book is a good book that shows real life situations. It is a good story about a boy that is saddened by the death of one of his best friends that was killed in an automobile accident. I feel that this is a good book for any age group that may be affected by this story. It shows that just because someone says that they are alright doesn't mean that they are actually good. I would highly recommend reading this book to you if u are debating about reading this. And plus it is only a hundred some pages to read.

Summary: Don't Judge a Book by its Cover
Review: The book is called Tears of Tiger. You shouldn't judge this book by its cover. Because it sounds whimpy, but it is so good.If you like teen books you will like this. It's about four friends in high school who play basketball. They always hang out together. Something tradgic happens, though. The author is Sharon M. Draper, who uses great words like petrified. It makes the story more interesting. Not many people have heard about this book, I mean I've asked librarians and they haven't even heard about it. But it is very good.

Summary: The worst way to go
Review: Andy Jackson, an average teenager, lives with a very serious stain on his soul, and cannot be removed because of the choices he has made durring his life. Andy is a member of the Hazelwood High School basketball team and is one of their key shooters. After a close game victory, Andy makes a decision that will change his whole life in one night. He, his bestfriend Robert Washington, along with two other close friends decide to celebrate their victory by drinking beer and going out for icecream. Not thinking of the consequences that happen when people drink and dive, they get into a serious accident. Robbert is dead and Andy tries to get through life by hiding his true feelings and guilt about his best friends death. By failing classes and having mood swings, Andy loses his friends, family, and the most important things of life. Tears of a Tiger is the kind of book you dont want to stop reading becauase of all the conflicts that real people face. Even though this book is not based on a true story, any person who reads or has read this book will tell you that it is outstanding

Summary: "Lives change in a matter of seconds."
Review: The book, Tears of a Tiger, by Sharon Mills Draper is a very good book. I had a lot of fun reading it. This is a book that I will never forget. The book shows that someone's life can change in a matter of seconds when all they wanted to do was have some fun and celebrate the win of their basketball game. I really liked the parts in the book when the author wrote homework articles, diary writings and letters. These writings are what told most of the story. I also liked when Andy goes to the shrink and they have their conversations. The conversations told a lot about what Andy was feeling about the accident. Overall I enjoyed Tears Of A Tiger, even though some parts were very depressing. I recommend the book to all teenagers.
