Rating: Summary: Tears of a Tiger Review: In this novel the main man Andy Jackson learns a lot of major lessons in life. Andy Jackson is seen to others as a "god," but to himself he can't stop blaming himself of the death of his best friend, Robert Washington. This book touched me because I can relate to the way he feels, I can understand the way he feels over losing a best friend because I have exsperienced something similar to this. I do truely recomend you read this novel if you like to read about friendships, and a book that has excitement and teens in it. I liked how this book shows what happens when people don't think before they act and how this stuff does actual happen to teens in real life.

Rating: Summary: The best book I've ever read! Review: I love this book it's my favorite book of all time. It is a book teens can relate to and it really captures your attention. It is emotional at times but a great book. Perhaps this book is one of the best teen books ever written. Andy and rob are best friends and when rob dies in andy's car andy thinks it's all his fault. This book shows how teens react to the tragedy and how andy reacts to the tragedy. You'll love this book I promise!
Rating: Summary: So So So sad... Review: This book was so engaging! I literally was a wreck and had tears streaming down my face when I finished it! I was drained emotionally. The only criticism I have for this book is that it is written all in dialogue without any narration. By the end, I was used to it, but at first it was a little difficult to follow along. ... It definitely sticks with you. Sharon Draper's writing is wonderful!
Rating: Summary: Tears Of A Tiger by Sharon M. Draper Review: Tears of a Tiger is a GREAT book. I think that anyone that likes books about teens, and teen problems will LOVE this book. You can really relate to the characters in this story, especially if you know what they're going through. You really learn to feel for this characters. I personally really related to Andy, the main character. He goes through so many changes and you yourself kind of grow with him. You learn so much from him and understand that so many people have so many problems. Some people dont know how to deal with their problems so the relate to death, sucide, and overdose.By: Samantha from NY
Rating: Summary: Tears of A Tiger through Teen Eyes Review: This book was incredible! It pulls at many emotions and gets you excited about what is to come! Tears of A Tiger involves a high school where students are from a strong black american culture. The dialect is different and also their views of "things" are different too. These high school students have to experience the death of a superstar athlete in their school. His death is due to drinking and driving. The way the book is written is very powerful and makes teens think about how decisions that they make can change their lives forever. After the accident, the lives of everyone is changed forever. There are more difficulties that happen throughout the book, but I encourage you to read it to see just what they are! Be prepared to feel alot of emotions and tissue nearby for both girls and guys too, is a good idea. Enjoy!

Rating: Summary: This book was so SPANKADELIC!...This book was Tight Review: this book was the best book i have ever read. This wasn't a chick book so if your not into sports than i would not recommend it to you. This book was about a teenage boy who's on his highschool basketball team the Hazelwood Tigers. The team wins a basketball game and Andy Jackson and a couple of his homeies decide to go partay. They start to down a few beers and so does the driver Andy. They get into a horrible car accident three of the boys escape but one doesn't they try to get him out but the car bursts into flames. Now Andy the driver of the vehicle at the time of the accident has to deal with the fact that he killed his best friend. Now after the accident he loses his drivers liscecnce and his name and the accident is all over the school newspaper. Not only that now he has to go see a physcologist that at first he doesn't even like the physcologist.Oh yeah i fogot to tell you about his girlfriend that always tells him that she is tired of hearing his wining all the time, and all the kids at school are upset with him still two to three weeks after the accident because they still blame andy for killing there friend or even there fellow classmate or there fellow schoolmate.as yo can tell by reading my review this kids got alot of problems that he caused for himself.and now he has to deal with these problems on his own with the help of his friends, his girkfriend, his teachers and his classmates. You know what i learned some thing from reading this book i learn't that even as a teenager if you make one just one foolish mistake you can screw up not just your life but the lives around you forever and those lives include the people who you are closest to like your friends, your familyor even your teachers. In closing i really liked this book and I'd bet just about anything that you will feel the same way i do after you get finished reading this book. It was a Grrrrrrrrrreat book. And I hope to read it again some day.
Rating: Summary: It was so! so! so! awsome! It was spankadelic!... Review: This book was the best book I've ever read in my whole spankadelic life! It will be the #1 book ever pretty soon! It's about a teenaged boy that drinks beer with his best friend after their basketball game that they won. After he drinks a lot of beer with his best frind and his other friend that doesn't drink and when they are driving they crash and the drivers best friend dies, but him and his other friend get out of the burning car safely. After that accident Andy, the driver, will never be the same again. His school, Halzelwood high, has many different cerimonies for Rob, the kid who died. Andy has been going to a physiologist secretly because he was so depressed. He kept blaming himself for killing his best friend because he was driving and he wrecked the car. He felt that the only person that understood him was his girlfriend Keisha. He continued to see the physiologist week after week after week, but then he got a little tired of it and he would only call the physiologist if he was really depressed or if he needed to talk. Andy begins to start acting funny and failing in school and not caring about his life or even his friends. He only really cares about his family and his girlfriend Keisha. He is really good at sports and stuff like that, but he starts to fail his favorite subject physical education(P.E.). To find out more of this great book buy it.
Rating: Summary: My review Review: This book is basically about a group of friends who are, by their own actions, put into surcumstances they would have rather not had happen. They drink and drive and their friend gets killed. One of the friends, the driver, is particularly effected by these happenings. The book tells of his struggle to cope with the loss of his best friend and deal with his friends and family after such a tragedy. The book was uniquely set up and an interesting, fast read. The writing and word usage isn't top of the line, but the author manages to bring emotion into the story. Like I said though, the author is no Shakespeare, or even close. It is not necessarily an intellegent book and in most cases, in my opinion at least, would only appeal to kids of middle and high school age. The story line is pretty generic. Over all, only pretty good, but is a little interesting and, unless you are really busy, worth a read. I give it 3 stars.
