Review: I read this book in 8th grade. I am now a college freshmen at Syracuse University. This book is one i never have forgotten. Makes you think. Its a very deep book for young adults. I love what Tears of a Tiger really means. I used the title to write a poem before. Awesome book. One i will never forget.

Review: I loved this book. It grabs you by the collar at the beginning and pulls you the whole way through. It delivered a sad and powerfull message. I highly reccomend this book to anyone who likes realistic fiction. I am just starting the sequel and so far it is very good. That ones called forged by fire, its about gerald's (Andys Best Friends)life.

Review: Tears of a Tiger is a novel by Sharon M. Draper that involves friendship, death, and basketball. I did not really enjoy the beginning of the book because it was to slow. As the book goes on the reader begins to get a new point of view of the high school world as kids face death of good friends. Sharon M. Draper got this point of view by because she teaches in a high school so she has experienced this herself. The book was good because it contains things that enjoy doing and having except for death. I do not like it how so many kids can be stereotypical about deaths and hardships that kids face in high school. For instance the main character, Andy Jackson, says that black kids are always faced with segregationists everyday just because of their race. To a reader and me that is just cruel. I enjoyed this book almost fully. I give it a 94 overall.

Review: Tears of a Tiger, is an awesome book. It is about a teenage boy named andy and his three friends. They were out partying one night celebrating a basketball victory. They decided to have some beer, and they got a little woozy, and drunk. Then Andy decided to drive everybody home, eventhough...he was drunk. So they ended up crashing into a wall, and a little fire in the car happened, and Rob, Andy's best friend. He ended up dying in the wreck from a blazing fire. This book talks about all Andy's guilt and what he goes through. He hurts himself physically and mentally. Join in his experience, read Tears of a Tiger.

Review: Tears of a Tiger is an excellent book written by Sharon Draper. I have read Forged by Fire, another book in this trilogy, and it is excellent as well. In this book, Andy Jackson is out one night with three of his friends. They decide to drink and drive. Andy is driving and runs into a wall. He and the two friends in the back seat escape, but their best friend Rob isn't so lucky. The book shows how this accident changes Andy's life forever. His friends, counselors, and teachers try to help, but he just can't get over the pain and guilt. Sharon Draper doesn't sugar coat the seriousness of this topic and is very direct in her writing. The book is written using journals, homework assignments, letters, and chapters to see feelings expressed by all the characters in the book. It is great for high school students, because it is easy to read and it may deal with an issue they are going through. I also think teachers would benefit from reading it, to see what signs to look for in a depressed teen and how to help them. I really enjoyed this book.

Review: This book teaches you a lesson on why you should never drive when you're drunk. On NOV. 8th Robert Washington, the age of 17 captain of the Hazelwood High School basketball team, was killed in a fiery automoblie accident on 1-75. Some people say the car, driven by Andrew Jackson, 17, also of the basketball team, had been noticeably weaving across the lanes of the expressway just before it hit a retaining wall and burst into flames. So to who ever reads the book Tears of a Tiger I hope you like it as much as I did.It will teach you a lesson when you grow up to not drive when your drunk because you never know what will happen.

Robbie, Andy, B.J., and Tyrone go out one night after a victory for the Hazelwood Tigers with Robbie being the captain of the team. One of the teens brought the beer and drove off. B.J. is a kind of person that participates in the fun but doesn't drink. [...] I recommend this book to everyone. Maybe if you read this book it will help you make the right choices in your life!
