Rating: Summary: Tiger Stars Review: Tears of a Tiger was a great book, this book is so sad. It made me realize that I have to be responsible for what I do. Sharon M. Draper wrote that book so well that I believed this story really did happen. I loved this book; it just was a sad story. It actually displays what happens when you drink and drive. Tears of a Tiger was also an interesting book to read. There were different points of views from all of the people. The style of writing also was different by the ways it was formatted. Just when you think things might get better they don't. Andy (main character) just seems to get worse even with all of his friends to support him. It was just too much for him, he felt guilty because he was the one driving. Andy actually saw his friend dying and he tried to help him but just couldn't. It's a really sad story that contrast to everyday life. People do drink and drive; this story shows the result of that. I think any person that is tempted to drink should read this story. To show them what might happen if they drink then drive.
Rating: Summary: Tears of a Tiger Review: Tears of a Tiger by Shannon M. Draper, is a very realistic book. The teenagers in it act the way teenagers really talk and think. It shows how careless actions can lead to disaster. When a best friend is killed in a terrible car accident and fire, the main character becomes more and more depressed. Nobody can reach him. Teenagers who think drinking and driving is okay should read this book and learn an important lesson. Adults trying to help teenagers who are depressed should read this book to learn how to get to the teenager before its to late.

Also this book made me want to keep reading on because of the suspense. I thought this book was sad too because Andy committed suicideat the end of the book which gave it an even bigger twist. The author really captured my attention with and said "READ ME".
Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ever Review: The book Tears of a Tiger was an eye-opener to me. I happened to pick it up by chance, and it has been such serendipity ever since. The book teaches the reader about the pressures of being a kid, signs of depression, and also signs of someone about to attempt suicide. Being a psychology major like myself, it gives a deeper look into the troubles exhibited by people and what to look for, what to notice, and how to help someone experiencing these emotions. The novel is told completely in dialogue. That means no annoying narration. Also, it goes through the characters' lives as if the reader was right there with them every step of the way; from homework assignments to diary entries to telephone conversations to news clippings. So, in the end, one is just as shocked as the characters are to find out what happens. Once, someone picks this book up, it is very hard to put it down. The plot and story line are so intriguing; I've often wondered why it was never made into a movie. The book starts off with a bang. A news clipping states that there has been a terrible accident involving four students of the nearby high school, one is dead and the rest are injured. From then on the book demonstrates how the school reacts to this tragedy, and most importantly how the driver, the deceased's best friend, is coping with the overwhelming situation. Tears of a Tiger takes one on an emotional roller coaster with an abrupt, sorrowful ending. I am guaranteeing whoever reads this book will not be sorry they did. It is a genuinely great novel. I read this book in seventh grade and now I am a college student, and until this day, another book has ever impacted me in such a way as to write a review on it.

Rating: Summary: My Response: Review: Sharon M. Draper wrote a novel about a who got in a car accident. This book uses uique writing style, and give plenty of dialog which make the characters in the book come alive. This book is titled, Tears of a Tiger. The title explains exactly wat the students feel when they realize their good friend is dead is a car accident. One night the guys went out to have a little fun when all was well, BAM!... one car cloide with another from a drunk driver. This book teaches an importantlesson about drinking and driving. I highly recommend this book to tenagers who are under the pressure of drinking.
Rating: Summary: Tears Of a Tiger Review: Once I had read the second book I knew I just had to get to the first. Again, Sharon M. Draper has done it again in Tears Of a Tiger. I thought this book was better than the first only because of the unique writing style. Instead of going from first person view or second person view, all of the main characters write in from dialog entries to poems all the way to newspaper clippings. This is what makes this book interesting. Tears Of a Tiger is basically about Andy, a boy who plays basketball for Hazelwood High and his reaction after a game. After a game, they all decide to go party and celebrate while drinking beer. Andy was the driver and accidentally crashing, killing Robbie Washington, captain of the basketball team. While feeling responsible for the death he slowly finds his life drifting away from him while the others are fully healed. I think the purpose of this book was to tell the importance and factors of drinking and driving.
