Summary: Out Standing
Review: This book was umbelievably good. I was so into the book that I couldn't focuss on the basics and everytime I had gotten a chance to read it I didn't wan't to put it down. I would reccomend this book to teenagers becuase this is time where we go through issues in our lives and this book would teach us lessons that life has in for us.

Summary: Response to Literature
Review: Whitney Hunter

Period 3

"Stop"
"Oh my god"
"He's gone forever"

Tears rolled down all the high schools eyes. The loud speaker came on announcing the terrible tragedy that was just starting to hit everyone. The tragedy that Adam, the main character, will have to live up too forever. There was no taking back anything now it's all over with; he's dead. His best friend is dead.

The book Tears of a Tiger by Sharon M. Draper is one of the highest ranked books in my point of view. It deals with many obstacles of a high school world. Drinking, drugs, parting the normal until one fatal accident changes the way Andy and his high school think forever. The title of the book Tears of a Tiger to me means that no matter how tuff you think you are or how cool you think you are death always makes that change. Drinking doesn't make you tuff. Drugs don't make you tuff. What makes you tuff is saving a life being a leader and not making bad choices for not only you but everyone around you. "He's gone now Andy, gone forever" (Draper, 72)

This book makes me feel disappointed in the things people do, and it seems that the choices are always out of stupidity, peer pressure and so forth. Peer pressure is now one of the top things that drive people to do things they usually wouldn't do. It hepatizes you in crazed ways. Andy and his few friends were all athletes and on the way to making scholarships for the athletic abilities. Not once would any of them have the guts to drink and drive unless there were others going along to die with them. "Come on man only a few drinks" (Draper 34)

The part of the book that I did not like was when the girl friends decided to leave. You would think that if they really loved of the boys they would ask them to stop drinking or offer a ride home. IT seems that they were setting there own self up for a world of hurt, if they were really so disappointed about the deaths that is. "He's gone forever"(Draper 89)

Summary: the book get's you
Review: (im really 13, not 12)when i first borrowed this book, i didnt really notice the story, but then when i got the time to read it, the story just got deeper and deeper. i couldnt stop reading it, because it must have felt so bad, if your best frend died! so then andy gets depressed and goes to a therapist, which sometimes, yea kids like us get depressed about things sometimes.

i recommend this book to a lot of kids, and teens. its a really good book, probably one of the best books i have read, and the most that got to me. it really relates to reality, it can really happen. like the way it looks at andy's life and all. but really i just kept readin and reading this book over and over again.

i think they should make this book into a movie. it would make a good one. okae just making good coment on this book! ~ one

Summary: The best book in the world!
Review: This book is the best book in the world! Andy is going through sooo much pain and I know how it feels to lose your best friend. My best friend died about a year ago. I think alot of teenagers would like this book. I get sooo mad at lots of people because if they would just wake up and realize that you cant drink and drive then none of that would have happened. I just dont think things should happen if they can be prevented. When my friend died I felt so much guilt and I didnt know what to think. This book relates to my life somehow. I think it does to alot of people. I love this book and if you havent read it! GET IT!

Summary: Ivanova Pina
Review: Hi my name is Ivanova Pina and im a student at DeerPark high (HOUSTON TEXAS)I was 17n years old wene i first read this book( 7 months ago) and since i started reading it, i couldn't stoped, i liked it so much because of the slang words and also because i could feel Andys pain, i was the only one that could understant his situation so perfect because my life seems to be releated to a situation like that. My BestFriend Oskar also killed him self 4 months before i read this book, i used to feel so guilty, and till now i still thinking that i am guilty in some kind of way it was my foult, because i wasnt there for him, and i was suppost to be his best Friend. Pople think that he was dumb for makign that desicion but no one knows what he was really going through only him, and he just couldnt take it no more, he thought that death was the only exit to his pain, so thats why he did it, but he did it with out thinkig 'bout me or anybody.

now it's 'bout to be a year that my BESTFRIEND die(April the 10th) and i still cant belive it. And Andy died in April too. Whene i was reading the book i identify my self with Andy a lot because he had lost his best friend too, but whene Andy die i indetify my self with Keisha a lot. Also whene Andy asked Keisha if she thought if Roby was cold, i started thinking of my Boy and i wounder if he really is cold what do u think.

I read this book way more then once and every time i read it makes me cry so much.
So Mrs. Draper I want to thank you so much for this book, because you help me alot, and i will love to know if you have a movie 'bout this book?

i have a question How does Tyron feel after he lost 2 of his best friends? Is he still playing for the basketball team
