Rating: Summary: it's great Review: This book is great it might not be as long as the others long meaning the length of time the book is set over for instince all of the other gossip girl books cover 2 or more months in a book but this one only covers a few weeks but never the less its still exciting. And as more novels get published we get ever closer to finding out who gossip girl is. i don't know about the rest of you GG fans out there but i can't wait for the GG movie there basing on the first novel and it's starring Linsay Lohan i wonder who sees going to be. I've got a theory that shes going to be blair, as Serenas gone blondy white hair wot do u think? See you soon you know you love her. JG
Rating: Summary: DiSaPoInTmEnT... Review: ::sigh:: This book starts out in the normal gossip girl style..and we still dont know who the hell he/she/it is. Serena,Erik(serenas brother) and Blair and Nate and Chuck and Georgie all go to Sun Valley for winter vacation. No one really hooks up..Georgie acts like a pshyco...they all go home...the end. All we find out is that Blair and Nate are supposedly "still in love" as are Dan and Vanesa. There are a bunch of useless uniteresting characters added that dont do much for the story.Aaron is pretty much gone...jennys lesbian friend wuts her name is a throw...jenny's bf is weird with no real personality and Vanesa has a ugly new boyfriend that she doesnt like. As i said its a disapointment ..not nearly as good as the other ones.Nothing is added to the story..its just stalling. We dont even know who got into wut university.
Rating: Summary: Not the caliber of the previous 4... Review: But still a winner. I absolutely ADORE Blair. And Serena is a ton of fun. Georgie... well honestly, I wouldn't mind NOT seeing her again. She just, well, she annoys me more then anything. Like the other four books, I couldn't put it down, but I felt like something was missing the whole time I was reading it. That doesn't make it bad, because compared to a lot of the teen fiction out there it was still amazing, but it wasn't quite up to the usual GG standards. Bring on Gossip Girl #6.

Rating: Summary: addictive Review: Gossip Girl series is about a girl basically spying on these teenagers in high school, either freshmen or seniors, living in New York City's Upper East Side. If you read the first gossip girl, you'll read the fifth, even the sixth... even if it's only because you are wondering if Blair got into Yale or ever has sex with Nate. Or if you are dying to know about how Serena got kicked out of private school... well in the fifth one, I Like it Like that, you find out neither of those things. But you do find out more about Jenny's boyfriend and Dan being a poet. I Like It Like That is as good as the other four, and it makes you wait until the sixth comes out. It shows no signs of Gossip Girl series ending, and it kind of makes you wonder when you will ever find out the stuff you really want to know. But it's Gossip Girl... you know you love her.
Rating: Summary: Gossip Girl # 5 Review: Hmmm...what to say, what to say! Well, I LIKE IT LIKE THAT, is just like all the other books in the series- entertaining, and makes a fabulous parody of the shallow indulgence of the human race. I laughed many times at the utter absurdity of quite a few of the scenarios, and the two-dimensionals of some of the characters. [Serena, especially, being so idealistically perfect, one could literally strangle her. That is the only flaw in her books- Serena, being so unrealistic, and irritable.] However, we get to know a little more about some of the more developed characters, like Blair, Nate, and Georgie. von Ziegsar creates a good read that you don't need a brain to understand, or like, it's not mind candy, and there is no depth, but that's a good thing...in their world. Read if you want something entertaining, and I suppose you could say interesting, if you didn't know how different the high-society world of New York City was, as it is portrayed in the series. It's certaining no Tolstoy- it's not supposed to be, and there are no layers to sift through, or intriguing plays on words, but it's simply what it is- a quick, cute thrill that will burn out as soon as the next fashion season starts.
Rating: Summary: Happy Things Review: I absolutley LOVE the Gossip Girl books and I just finished this one. Not my Fav. but still juicy and fun as ever. The one thing that bugged me was the editor didn't do the best job (i found a few mistakes) But W/E. Loved Vanessa's hippy parents. Loved Uber-Gay Chuck. And Georgie..she makes Serena look sedated. Can't wait for next one (even tho this just came out)! I really wanna no who GG is but shes right its better not knowing. Now im starting to sound like a loser. Kisses... L'StarPS I dont like the cover photo but w. ev
Rating: Summary: Not that exciting... Review: I am a big fan of all of the Gossip Girl novels. The first couple of books were so addicting because I was getting to know more about the characters, but the fifth novel, I Like it Like That, wasn't that exciting. I wasn't that interested in Vanessa's life or Dan's internship at Red Letter. However, the only interesting, new part is Blair and Erik's attraction for each other. Also, finding out about Jenny's mysterious new boyfriend kept me reading because I wanted to know out what kind of guy he was like. In this book there weren't too many thrilling parts, but the author's writing style makes you want to keep going.
I am anxious to find out if Blair will get back together with Nate or decide to go out with Erik instead, and which college she will get accepted too. Also, if Jenny's relationship will last with Leo and if Serena will find true love. Will we every find out who gossip girl is? I think the next book will reveal a lot of these questions that this book didn't and hopefully be as great as the others.
I recommend all of the Gossip Girl books to teenagers between thirteen and seventeen. They are an easy read and full of partying and romance.
Rating: Summary: gossip girl- i like it like that Review: I am addicted to gossip girl and i read can read one of them in a few hours. I like it like that was definately the best one so far and the only reason i didnt want to finish it was because i love reading them and now i have to wait until October 6, 2004 for the 6th one titled- youre the one that i want to come out. These books are so amazing and i can talk about it with my friends for hours!! I love how its a great story and at the same time youre trying to figure out who the gossip girl actually is. What i personally think about the movie is that i hope when it comes out, there will be no more books because they might give away who the gossip girl is and then i would be really mad and dissapointed that they would be allowed to do so. So yeah, i LOVE gossip girl and i cant wait until october to read the next one!!!
