Summary: The Giver is Great
Review: I thought the Giver was a great book. It has unique story. This is probably on of the best sci-fi books I have read. The book is about a boy named Jonas. Jonas lives in a "perfect" town. His town has no color, feelings or memories of snow, mountains, or anything like that. In the story Jonas gets picked to be a Reciever. He meets a man called the Giver. The Giver is a man that holds all of the memories of color, feelings, etc. The Giver's job is to pass on the memories to Jonas. When Jonas finds out all of this new information, he wants to share it to the world. How will Jonas do it? You'll have to read.

Summary: A review by a twelve year old from Wells Junior High
Review: I thought the giver was a great book. It was neatly written, and had a nice plot. It seemed that there was always something interesting happening, that made me want to read it more and more. The one part I thought that could change to make it better, was that the giver could be something cooler, that could capture everyone's attention. The one part I didn't like, was when I finished the book, because I didn't have anymore good books to read.

Summary: The Giver was a good book.
Review: I thought the giver was a pretty good book. I thought some parts in the begining were boring but the rest made up for the begining. It just kept getting better. I thought some parts were a little strange and confusing. I still thought it was a great book. I think it is a good book for young adults to read.

Summary: Very interesting book
Review: I thought the Giver was a very interesting book, which I wouldn't mind reading again. By reading the book it made me realize that there are people who have it worst than I. I am glad that I live in a society which gives me choices and freedom. The book to me was a little sad though because nobody had choices. You weren't even a loud to pick your future spouse. They wouldn't even let you go into a future career that you were interested in. They picked it for you. The book though was good I think.

Summary: My Giver Review
Review: I thought The Giver was a very strange book. I thought it was strange because their community had so many rules. For example, they become adults when they are 12, and the men have to apply for a wives and children. I enjoyed reading The Giver. I thought it was interesting seeing a whole different culture. Lois Lowry did a wonderful job making a whole different world and culture. I think people should read The Giver because it is a well written book.

Summary: I think this book can teach us all a lesson
Review: I thought the Giver was a wonderful book but almost disturbing at parts. It makes you think before changing things and really makes you think about how lucky we are to have choices in our society. i read this for a college adolescent literature course and suggest it to anyone. You can take this story so many different ways.

Summary: the less you know the better
Review: I thought the giver was an O.K. book. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it left you wondering at the end. It tells about a whole new journey on their way somewhere else but it doesn't tell what happened in this new place. The mystery in the middle of the book was good but the beginning was really confusing. I didn't understand what was happening until the third paragraph. My suggestions for any one who is going to read this book is don't give up after the first paragraph because it does get better.

Summary: The Giver
Review: I thought The Giver was bad. It was boring, and there really wasn't a point. Are assignment for school was to read one or two chapters a night, and it was really hard for me to fulfill the assignment. My mom and my sister tryed reading it, and they only got through three chapters, and then put it down.
