Summary: SMSpringCreekHigh-Book Report Review
Review: I thought that The Giver was definately a good read. Although it wasn't particularly difficult to read, it was thought-provoking. The tale of a new community in "sameness" is one that I have not yet heard. It was totally original and gave new meaning and depth to my memories and of what I think of as my community and my way of life. In never having thought of the lessons learned in everyday life the way that this book proclaims them to be, I sat in a pure state of thought after completing the selection. The only books that I could think of that could possibly compare to this are Madeleine L'Engle's- A Wrinkle in Time, George Orwell's- 1984, and William Gerald Golding's- Lord of the Flies. All in which people are set apart in some way and begin taking on their own culture and ways of life.

Summary: The Giver is thought provoking
Review: I thought that the The Giver was a new perspective on life. They all fell no pain or love. By the way my english teacher came up with a funny commercial. It goes like this.......... there is screams in agony and the you hear a baby crying. The doctor runs out and sets the baby down. Then he carries the birthmother out. He starts talking to her, and next you hear a bell. He starts jumping and says "It's time to make a baby! It's time to make a baby! It's time to make a baby!" We all thought that that was really funny. Anyway....... the book was good and made you come up with some questions about your life. Hope you enjoy(ed) the book!

Summary: A Kid's Veiw of "The Giver"
Review: I thought that this book really makes you feel that you are lucky not to communist like they are in "The Giver". It really makes you know how much you take for granted the idea that you are different. The whole book is based on the concept of "Sameness", and it is about the quest Jonas takes to be different, to get "Elseware". I deffinatly give this book a "10", and hope you choose to read it, too.

Summary: Great but confusing
Review: I thought that this book was a great but it was kind of confusing. I would not recomend this book for kids under 10. If I had to read it again I wouldn't.

Summary: OK
Review: I thought that this book was OK. In parts of the book you would just think, "When is this going to end?" But then towards the end of the book it got a little better and more interesting. In this book Jonas doesnt know of any fear, pain, or war. I think I couldnt get into the book because I couldnt realate to anything. Nothing in his world was like ours.

Summary: The Giver
Review: I thought that this book was pretty cool, but it was very confusing at the beginning. Is shows a "perfect" community, and how everyone in this community lives. At the end, it kind of leaves you off, not knowing what would happen, so If I were The Author, I'd probably clear up the ending some more, But I found It a very good book!!!

Summary: This book was a very unfair life to live.
Review: I thought that this book was really good thats why I rated it an eight but I didn't really like how it started off because the reader didn't really get you into the book and the end they just left you hanging and it would have made the book so much better if they put a better ending. But out of the whole book I could say it was one of the best books that I have ever read.

Summary: All Hail The Giver
Review: I thought that this book was very good. It shows you how life would be like if you did not have to make life choices. It was also really sad. I really liked Jonas because I could really relate to him, when he talks about his nervousness due to him wanting to know how his life is going to turn out. This book is good for anyone who has time to read an easy fun book that you should enjoy.
