Summary: The Giver is a book thst truely makes you think about life.
Review: I liked The Giver a lot. The book opened my eyes to a whole new world that I really enjoyed. The book made you feel a lot of differant emotions at once. Jonus, the main chatacter, is going through a hard time in his life.He has to search for his soal. I recomend that everyone reads this book. It is one of my favorites and will be yours, too. You should read The Giver.

Review: I liked the Giver because it was exciting. I liked the adventorous things Jonas did in the book. I thought that Jonas being selected as the Receiver of Memory was cool because he is the only child in the community who is special. I was scared at times when Jonas was feeling pain from the memories. I wish that Jonas would have set out to look for the other communities a little more. I hope that there is a sequal to The Giver. I recommend this book to anyone.

Review: I liked the Newbury book the Giver because it was sad and seious book at the same time.The book was really diffrent I know I've never been in a communite that your not aloud to ride a bike till your nine.I think this book is more for adults and teenagers.

Review: I liked this book a lot, because it was different, in a unique way. The whole plot is sort of like the movie "Truman Show". The characters were well evaluated, and the way the community worked, was amazing. I loved the book, and the author is a wonderful writer.

Review: I liked this book alot because I like Science-Fiction books and because this might be the future in a few hundred years.The ending I liked because it was a cliffhanger. When I started to read it I kept wanting to read,but my teacher didn't want the class to read ahead.I liked Jonas because he reminds me of me.That is why I like this book.I recomend it for a Science-Fiction lover.That is why I give it a 10.Logan Healy Age 11.

Review: I liked this book because it tells you that it's good to have choices.If we didn't have color we would all be the same, and it is kind of boring being the same.If we were all the same then we would all have the same personalities. We would all have the same likes and dislikes and no one would be different.
Like in the Giver everyone was the same and wore tunics and saw everyone else in the same way. Sameness is boring and we are lucky to be different and have choices. No one had a choice of what they wanted. If they could see color they still wouldn't be able to pick out the tunic that they wanted that was a different color.Everyone would still be the same.It's important to have choices.

Review: I liked this book because it was unlike any other book I have ever read! The story is about a boy that grows up and helps his community. Some of the reasons I liked this book are that the setting is in the future and some of the ways of life that they had were prety funny to me. I recommend this book for ages 10 through adulthood.
