Summary: Great book!
Review: The Giver has been my favorite book since I first read it about seven years ago. I believe that this is simply a compelling, powerful book about the harmful effects of "Sameness", a world in which people have been taught not to feel. The story covers a boy named Jonas who grows up in this world and in chosen to be the receiver of the memories the people in his sheltered world are not permitted to feel. The events that follow are awesome, unexpected, and moving. Don't miss the chance to read this one!

Summary: A MUST READ book!
Review: The Giver has now become my #1 favorite book. It's full of cliff hangers. It's the type of book once you start it you'll never put it down. It's about a boy who lives in a completely ruled world. Jonas was 12 years old when he got selected for a job in his cummunity,(Every child in the cummunity, once 12 are assighned jobs.) It seems like the pressure of the world is on his shoulders, you'll see why once you read it! We'll, the one who was selected his job to serve the cummunity before him so called" failed." So this is the story; He has been given special training by the Giver, who has secrets of the pain of life, which Jonas has never even known of. The things that he knew were of the joys of life, he gets much more of that from the Giver and gets to know and develop feelings of love, sadness ,and hertfullness. The Giver shares the real truth with him and there's know turning back, even shutting out his family ........................

Summary: A No Doubt Great Book
Review: The Giver has to be one of the best books I've ever read. So let me tell you this was an incredible book! I too write stories and from what has been displayed in this one- oh boy! It's this place it takes you to in your mind-a place in which you feel you actually belong (even though the place they take you to in this book is way past bizzare). If it's a book you have to read for school or a club, then they've chosen wisely.

Summary: The Giver is Good
Review: The Giver I thought was a very good book. It provides us with a glimpse of the good and bad of a utopian society. I would suggest to everyone that you read this book. At first you may not be interested, but it only gets better along the way. The Giver opens up your eyes, and you begin to feel for the main character Jonas, as well as the Giver. You will also begin to have your own feelings about the society Jonas lives in and being released. Therefore, the Giver is an exciting book that everyone will enjoy!

Summary: Very Well Writen
Review: The Giver is a book about a 11 year old boy, who lives in a "perfect world". Soon he finds out that the world wasn't aloways perfect because he is the curent Reciver of Memories who is given all the memories of the people before the "perfect world". I enjoyed this book very much, but I didn't like how it left off in the end. I would definitly recomend it to this reader!

Summary: The Giver: One of the best books I've ever read!
Review: The Giver is a book about a boy named Jonas who lives in a town with laws about sameness. Sameness is when every thing is the same; the same colour, the same weather, the same landscape. Jonas's Ceremony of Twelve is coming up. This is when he is assigned his job. He is very apprehensive, as he has no idea what job he will be assigned. Jonas knows that once he gets assigned his job, everything will change; his recreation time with his best friend Asher and the importance of his school work.

I really enjoyed The Giver because Lois Lowry is a very good author and the plot and characters are very unique. It was a book that I really got into, and I finished it in a few hours, I was so caught up in it! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a really good read. The Giver might be a little challenging for fairly young readers, but it is ideal for stronger readers.
