Summary: Speak
Review: This book Speak takes place in high school and is about a girl named Melinda. Melinda in the summer went to a party and had called the police and now everyone is mad at her for getting everyone busted. Nobody knows why she called and now they are all mad at her for doing what she did and Melinda won't tell anyone why she called the police but behind everything there is something that actually happened.
What I liked most about this book is that it had a lot of the real life in it had mystery involved with this book. What I didn't understand is why she didn't tell anyone in the first place she kept it inside and became a lonely no friended girl. I think that most people will like this book because its its a mix of every kind of book you can imagine and you can also visualise it in your mind when your reading this book. Most teenage girl will enjoy the book because its about a teenage girls life and what goes on in her mind.

Review: The book that I read was called speak. This book was about a girl who was an outcast. She had only one fried called Heather who only lasted part of the year. The year before she had gone to a party and was being harrassed. She didnt now what to do so she called the cops. The only reason she had a friend was beacaue she was new at school and didnt know what happened. She had bad parents who would talk to her by putting post-it notes on the refrigerator. She like this one guy at school but didnt tell anyone. He was a nerdish person. This book is a very good book for people who like journal type books and like to find out what will happen to the person. This book was probably one of the best books. You should buy it because you will like it.

Summary: Speak
Review: The book that I read was Speak. In the story there was a girl who went to a party and called the cops. After she did that nobody wanted to be her friend. All of her old friends ignored her or laughed at her. She had very bad grades except she was good at art. During the time she had a friend called Heather but Heather becomes embarrassed and ends up not being her friend. She has parents who never cook and just leave post-it's every time they want to tell her something. In school she found an old janitors closet that was abandoned so she decided to make it her special place just for her. She is an outcast. The people who would like this book are people who like journal type books and like to listen to what people have to say. It is a good book for middle school kids and adults too. It is the best book I have read all year. You should buy it because you will like it.

Summary: Speak
Review: I really enjoyed reading the book Speak beacause it wasent like other books that I had read before. I thought the ending would be diffren't I didn't think the outcome of the book would end like that. I really liked the book because my pradection was wrong and it wanted me to read more and more.It was a good book because it talked about the changes of a girl name Melina and how she had to go through big changes in her life after that day at the party. She coulden't tell her freinds the truth and say what really happend that night at the party that a guy had raped her and thats why she had to call the cops. She had to go through at school with evreyone hating her and she wanted to tell truth but she coulden't because she was scared. At the end of the book she realizes that she cant be afraid forever and comes out and tell the truth. I think Melina was really brave for keeping such a big secret. I really recommend this book to you.

Summary: Speak
Review: I really liked the book Speak. It had a real life issues for teenage girls. The main character in the book is a teenage girl just going into highschool named Melinda, but somthing terrible happened to her at the end of the summer. She never told anyone what really happened so everyone began to hate her. Even her closest friends turned on her and stopped talking to her. Her family and school principal thought she was crazy because she never spoke, but she had her reasons she didn't speak. If she spoke what really happened at the end of the summer would come out and everyone would know the truth about what really happened that night. she didn't think that they would care but that they would just hate her even more. I think this is a very good book that tells a very important message. I gave this book 5 stars because of how inspirational it was.

Summary: Speak
Review: The book "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson is told by a girl named Melinda Sordino. The setting of this book is in Syracuse, New York. This book tells about Melinda's year as a freshman in high school at Merryweather High. Over the summer, Melinda went to a high school party and called the cops. Now when she goes back to school, everyone hates her and her old friends won't talk to her because she called the cops at the party. It's hard for Melinda to go to high school because of what happened at the party and of a certain person who goes to her school. As Melinda goes through the year, she finds that it's hard for her to talk to people. She is getting in trouble at school and her grades are bad. Melinda is bothered by what happened at the party. She really wants to tell someone what happened at the party but can't find her courage to talk to someone. I think the author's message was that you should speak about your problems instead of keeping them inside of you. That was the situation Melinda was in. I like how this book is written because it tells you how Melinda really feels, you know what she's thinking and it's like being in her head. For example, "In my headworld they jump on Principal Principal's desk and perform a tap-dance routine. A spotlight flashes on them. A chorus line jumps in and the guidance counselor dances around a spangled cane. I giggle. Zap. Back in their world." What I didn't like about this book was that Melinda didn't even talk to her friends about what happened at the party. I think that Melinda should have talked to them and high school would have been a lot better for her. I think that this book would be enjoyed the most by teenage girls in 8th grade and up.

Summary: Great book
Review: This book was great. In the begining it tells you that something happened to this girl named Melinda at some beer drinking party and you cant put the book down untill you find out what that was. She becomes depressed and despised when she calls the cops at that party. her frineds wont talk to her and everyone else at that school wont talk to her. In the end she conquers her fear of a guy in the book that "hurt" her, and defeats the anxiety of being alone and depressed. She gives hope to people who read this book. She will show you that anything is possable and to never let people walk all over you. It taught me to stand up for myself and to never let anyone do anything that they dont want to do. This was a great book and is worth reading.
