Summary: The funniest, saddest, most moving collection of sportswrite
Review: I recently selected this book for use in a new course I am teaching on sportswriting at the University of California, San Diego. When I went searching for a good example of sportswriting to counterbalance the many offerings by men, I was not encourage by the very small number of titles by women. This book astonished me in its variety and quality of contributions, AND it is fiction, which makes it all the more exiciting to read. Very personal, very gritty, very real. Read this book!
