Review: This book is a difference maker! I am so used to using my calculator that I had no idea how much I took for granted. I have an engineering degree so when I was preparing for the GMAT (to add an MBA to my collection)I assumed that the math portion would be a snap. However, calculus and differential equations are not part of the test and of course a calculator can not be used. Let's cut to the chase...I can figure out any math problem if I have the time, but time is precious on standardized tests and if you don't know the fastest way to do the calculations you will get a low score.

Review: This book is the best first step if you are taking a standardized test like the GMAT, GRE, etc. It takes you step by step through the basics, then builds on that knowledge. This is essential on the GMAT, where the math is easy, but you are required to understand the application and theory behind the numbers. Follow up with a good (Kaplan, PReview) focused test book/CD, and you will realize significant gains. Initial GMAT score- 680, after this review book- 780.

Review: This book is written so well it makes learning Math easy! I've been away from Math classes for 20+ years and suddenly my employer requires a degree. This book is an EXCELLENT supplement to my text books. My college math books are written by people who are trying to impress you by how smart THEY are. They make simple concepts very complicated. I would have had a rough start if it wasn't for Cliff's Math Review.

Review: This book was made for anyone who hasn't taken a math course in recent years or just want a refresher course to help them get ahead. Just as the book advertises it was meant for people to use for the SAT, GMAT or any of the other standardized tests. It helped me tremendously with my preparation for taking basic college algebra. The author breaks each chapter down into very easy and managable sections. When using this book you feel like you have your own personal tutor there at your side. If you are taking a math course or plan on it then you MUST get this book.

This book is also a great review of concepts such as calculating percentages, and breaking down really hard word problems. It covers EVERYTHING! I have recommended this book to everyone I know. It gave me the knowledge and confidence to pass the math sections on the CBEST and MSAT. Parents, it is also a good resource to have for your children. As a teacher, I know that sometimes students don't understand a concept taught in school. This book can help.

Review: This was an outstanding book that helped me with college algebra and I know it will help me and my wife in the near future with our children! It gets right to the point. You do not search for "hours" looking for assistance. Even though it lacks an index, the table of contents is organized in such a manner for speedy searches.
