Summary: Fun read
Review: I liked BOY MEETS GIRL. It was a fun read that made me laugh out loud (at times). It's told through emails and ims just like THE BOY NEXT DOOR. But this book also included answering phone messages and journal entries from the main character, Kate Mackenzie. Although this was a funny read, I'd have to say I liked THE BOY NEXT DOOR better.

Summary: :-)
Review: I love books like this one. These are the books that make you sad when you are done reading it because you don't want it to end; you want to know what happens after that. Meg Cabot is by far my favorite author and I enjoy all of her books. This book is my favorite so far. I loved the characters and how everything tied in. The format of it was perfect. Her books make you fall in love with reading.

Summary: Can't put it down!!
Review: I love this book! Though I was a little suspicious when I bought it (the format is a bit weird at the time, considering I've never read BJ Diary), I have no regrets about my decision. In fact I'm happy about it. It's a "collection" of emails and journals and IM messages chat logs, this is not like the other books I've seen. Yet, once I started it, I simply cannot put it down. I ended up finishing this in one night, sacrificed most of my sleeping time, but it worth it! Really!

I really like the way the story developes, and unique way of presenting it. Although the ending is a bit predictable, it's still a wonderful book. Afterall, it's for girls, isn't it? Nice endings like this is always what I have wanted.

Summary: Not as good as the first book
Review: I LOVED "The Boy Next Door," but this book is not nearly as good. It had some enjoyable moments - mostly involving minor favorite characters from the first book, such as Dolly Vargas - but overall, the storyline and character development was vastly inferior to the first book and to Cabot's "Princess Diary" books, which I also love. Kate Mackenzie is so neurotic and so full of self-hatred, I kept wanting to shake her and scream, "Pull yourself together, for God's sake!"

Also, I understand from Cabot's website that this book is being marketed to her younger fans, which I find highly inappropriate in light of the book's language and content. Characters make a lot of sexual jokes ...

I hear Cabot is working on another sequel. Let's hope it's an improvement!

Summary: Couldn't Put It Down!!!
Review: I read while on the treadmill, therefore I crave books that are light and easy to follow. Light and easy to follow certainly sums this book up. Naturally there is a little bit of cheesy action, however that is expected in a chic-lit novel. I actually found myself laughing outloud at the interaction of some of the characters. As a female, in my mid-twenties, I could relate to the main character and the relationships that she built. If you are looking for a serious romance, this isn't your book. However, if you are looking for light and fun, order this book today!

Summary: Had enough of the e-mails
Review: I really enjoyed Boy Next Door, my first Meg Cabot book. So I thought I'd love this one, too. I don't know what was different, but this time around I'd had enough of the e-mails and messages and the like. Even though the story is different, it felt exactly like BND and so I felt like I'd already read it. This one didn't grab me, I got so bored reading the different e-mails and messages that I had no desire to continue with the story, which could have been good. I hope Cabot writes a book without all the gimmicks, because I think she has great characters and stories that get bogged down in this style of writing.

Summary: Fun, no-brainer read!!!
Review: I really enjoyed this book! At first the format threw me off-the whole book is written as if you were reading E-mail, IM's between people, with some notes here and there. After the first few chapters though-I was hooked! Enjoy!!

Summary: People were laughing at me....
Review: I started reading this while I was stuck overnight at the airport in Phoenix. There were two women sitting across from me who had to come over and ask what I was reading that was making me laugh so much and outloud at that. It's a great story, the premise is fun, and what I liked about this one as opposed to Boy Next Door is that this one also included telephone conversations, depositions, and other forms of communication as well as just emails.

Summary: SO MUCH FUN
Review: I thought BOY MEETS GIRL was such a fantastic read. It is the follow up to THE BOY NEXT DOOR which I read last year and loved as well. BOY MEETS GIRL was a fun book full of colorful characters and an entertaining story. I could not put it down! I hope Meg Cabot graces us with another book involving these characters in some way.

Summary: Boy Does Indeed Meet Girl
Review: I thought it was a very unique approach to a book to write it soley through emails, letters, and journal entries. It made it interesting to get the plot from conversations between the characters through these mediums. Kate is a completely likable character, and although I found her and Mitch's courtship unrealistic, I was rooting for it the whole time. The TOD was my favorite character because she was funny and cast as the "bad guy". All in all, one of the best chick lit books out there.
